Green Flame Rising (Exalted vs Dresden Files)

Maybe just bank that 6 XP for next time? I think that would garner a few more votes, and we would still be able to get Mind Hand Manipulation, which is the real prize, IMO.
Taking Extra Arms now means that,for example, we can attack and defend with our full dice pool, and our dice pool wont decrease.

Current Situation: 20 dice for Dex+Melee+Stunt at Dc6
Attack 1: 19 dice at DC7
Defend 2: 18 dice at DC8

With Extra Arms: 20 dice for Dex+Melee+Stunt at Dc6
Attack 1 20 dice at DC7
Defend 2 20 dice at DC8

====
There is a significant mechanical difference.

We are also capped at DC 9. Meaning if someone gets off infinite attacks, we would be able to defend against them all.

Also please approval vote.

Pretty sure you can't take more actions if the multi-action penalty would bring you over 10?

Also if we really have to defend against infinite attacks we can take a full defence action, rather than splitting normally.

Total: Molly 14 + Lydia 6 = 20.
Remainder = 0

QM invoked Rule 0, so I have replaced Rage Recast: Swift Stride with Rage Recast: Extra Arms(Telekinesis).
It improves our ability to simultaneously attack and defend.

The original plan has been edited, so anyone who voted []PLAN NAME doesnt need to revote.
Im just posting the updated plan here as well to keep everyone in the loop.

EDIT
@XenonPrime
@OctarineShrike
You need to update your votes to the current version.

Going to note that we regularly earn more than 20xp in a month-long turn, with the last turn being an exception because it was 1 day. We shouldnt need to save XP for the Kingdom charm.
Err.....Dragonparadox SPECIFICALLY said that we are going to have smaller turns.

Why do you think so many of us want to save xp?

Great quest, I don't even know how many hours I sunk into this over the last few days! Not the first DP quest I've read, but the first I've ever been current on!
As for the voting, I'm fine with saving, personally.
[X] Plan: For the Kingdom

And it's even pretty easy to see that since the charm doesn't makes you any faster, so what's happening is clearly not that you outrun light.
The charm does explicitly say that's what you're doing, it's not even shy about it.

It just doesn't matter because the exaltation packed it's own physics for lunch that day and doesn't need -or want- any of the universe's. :V

[X]Plan Speed Kills

Rightio then, thank you for the prod uju32!

I can get behind terrifying telekinetic arms.

If you want telekinetic arms, it would be better to vote for *telekinetic mind bullet*, it also had the arms but this plans keep xp in reserve for when we will want to take the kingdom charm next arc, Uju's plan is just asking to not be able to afford it again and have to fight to do the same thing we're trying this turn about stockpiling for the future.

Cain is kind of. Really big.

I still absolutely love his stat sheet, I mean:

That's sending a message alright.

Well, it's just making light slower, not making you faster, not the same thing.

Perhaps you and others should help bring it into a range where it could actually contest any of the currently leading plans, if you want this to be actually considered.

More directly related to the vote, the actual utility of every possible effect isn't really the point here.

I don't think our situation is such that we're a pair of extra arms or a single attack charm from catastrophic failure in the next arc.

We are probably not going to get 20 xp, or will have more things we want to buy than just the kingdom next time, though.

The question isn't "is X charm useful?" It probably is. The question is "do we need X charm right now to be successful?".

We have some beefy stuff coming up, but I think it's unreasonable to suggest we're so poorly built and positioned otherwise that we must spend everything or even a majority of what we have in the bank.

Yeah, it is funny. That said, ExWoD is a very different game as compared to Vampire 1-2-3-4-20 edition, so portraying Cain as something other than list of paper with "fuck off" written on it is possible.

It is just still not going to be something a solo E5 ExWoD Solaroid gonna be capable of handling. We might break into that level of power given that DP allows Elder Essence stuff, but it is not within standard ExWoD brakets of power.

Case in point from page 305 of the source book:

Let's Kill Caine
Super-powerful high-end adversaries in Ye Olden Days tended to get "stat blocks" that consisted of a little sidebar reading "Suck the snake-dick of Set, nerd. Any character that doesn't run away screaming dies." That isn't how Exalted vs World of Darkness does things. For the most part, statting up an ancient – like, Babylon-ancient – vampire is pretty easy. Give them outrageous dice pools including some Attributes and Abilities in the 7-9 range, a bunch of elder Disciplines, Willpower 8-10, and crank the Generation dial down to 4-5. But even that doesn't tell the whole story when dealing with something like Ur-Shulgi, as described in the books, so let's assume they also have some unique powers – call them combination Disciplines – that make them a worthwhile challenge for the Chosen. Here are some examples to get you started:

Killing Caine is something you can do at the end of a Exalted vs WoD Chronicle, it is thematically appropriate. 'Oh God himself said we can't not kill this asshole. Which one?' :V

A lot of people mistake Exalted for gods. Those people make a critical mistake. The Exalted and Gods are not on the same level of power. Gods are Gods. They embody concepts and have a large degree of authority over their concept that is hard for anything to match.

Exalted are not on that level.

Exalted are on the level just above that.

As someone that never got too deep into WoD, who was Caine again?

Edit: whoops, forgot to vote.

Just changing the distribution of my approval vote.

Buying something will make the next arc easier, but saving will benefit us more immediately after it and we have no reason to believe that we're incapable of dealing with our problems entirely.
