Green Flame Rising (Exalted vs Dresden Files)

Murphy's after action report to her Library of Congress handlers is probably going to be interesting, to say the least, and that's only going off what her standard muggle senses are telling her.

He propably didn't keep his metaphorical eyes open, not with demons around, in a place of desolation and with a Greater Akuma before him.
With the sight that's a good bet, but DF wizards have the ability to dense energy flows independent of that. Doing so is a key part of their ability to cast because they need to gather power to use magic and not just any energy is particularly efficient for any given purpose.

He can't use magic and ignore his energy senses at the same time any more than he could paint without being able to feel his hands.

How are you handling Essence ratings? You were saying about 3E experience levels but never confirmed it.

I may have to up the 3E levels to keep up with the rate at which I am handing out XP to cover for your lack of party

On that subject, wizards have magical senses other than the sight and Harry was on this side of the gauntlet when Moly decided to have a snack. What are the odds that he picked up on something?

Molly does not think Harry would be able to see anything though a max rating Gauntlet, that is as solid as it can be conceptually

I think we need to use the exp of this adventure and use to max our crafting, get the solar crafting charm and craft ourselves city god.
Assuming 20 XP total (we likely get more), I think we could go with Empathy 5 (4 XP, makes us go over E3 threshold), By Rage Recast: Swift Stride (3 XP, doubles our speed, which means we move at 4X speed at base, which is a cheap and potent combat boost, even if it's mostly fluff and not mechanics), and Essence-Dissecting Stare. We know that we can track a naagloshii with it, unless it's specifically hiding. We can also use it to map Dragon Nests over a large territory using RVD. If we can afford it, Awakened Eye of the Dragon. Craft, sadly (I love craft) comes after that.

The funniest part of that is how Murphy might not get that this is pretty high level compared to the average supernatural encounter due to her personal relationships with the people involved*.

They're probably expecting a lot more reports on red court vamps acting up and driving off ghouls, maybe a bit of dangerous faerie bullshit on occasion.

"A strike of Odin's favorite zombies fought demonic corpses in an abandoned steel mill while a warden regional commander and one of God's three mortal reps jumped into the spirit world to rescue a DJ shaman. They were only there in the first place because two teenagers agreed to return the favor/manufacture tanks for them later"

Is not a standard report, and that doesn't even get into the actual crazy parts.

* And because this is starting to become a regular occurrence among her supernatural contacts.

I thought the portal was open before the final blow went through based on Lydia's shouting, but that makes sense.

I feel like we're at a point where Perception, Awareness, and Alertness are all serious contenders for some XP attention.

I think we should use the corpse as a Crown focus to find out what the Yama Kings know about Exaltations and then destroy it.

We are highly unlikely anytime soon to get a better focus about the Yama Kings knowledge than a Greater Akuma directly sent to steal Molly's Exaltation. Yama Kings seem to be the only powers other than Angels/Fallen to actually have any knowledge, even if it isn't much, as Ravana at least knew the "Black Seed" was intended to empower a mortal.

Regarding the Sword we should just destroy it or give it to Monoc, keeping artifacts likely made in Yomi Wan for an akuma seems like a corruption hazard, even if Molly is immune to mental influence others aren't.

Likewise leaving the corpse around just seems like an unnecessary risk.

[X] [SWORD] Keep the sword only long enough to extract what useful information we can from it, then destroy it. If possible, attempt to savage and purify any materials that survive the sword's destruction.

[X] [BODY] Keep the body only long enough to extract what useful information we can from it, then destroy it.

[X] [SWORD] Claim it, maybe you can reforge it
[X] [BODY] Claim it, it might be a little creepy, but having eaten his soul it would be a bit silly to be squeamish about the body

I'd quite like to know how the Yama Kings make Greater Akuma.

Can only buy BRR once per Essence.
Yes. Assuming E3 at 120 XP spent (as in third edition exalted, if I recall correctly), we are 4 XP away from it. Then the question is whether we level to E3 mid-acquisition, or only after we finish the buy process for all charms this round. If it's mid-buy, we get E3, then buy BRR. If not, then probably Seeing is Blindness as a combat boost. Or Maggot Mana Plague (I forget - how many dots do we need to do away with its loyalty side-effect?). Maybe discard EDS, if we are not planning a nnaagloshii hunt, and pick up Alchemy 4, and a couple of recipes for it, like ability boosting potions.

Well the naagloshii is much more likely to have extra health levels then a vampire. It literally has an ox body. However it might actually not soak agg.
This is actually a question. At least in some cases, lorewise soak works via combat regeneration and shape-shifting wounds away. Question is - would the kakuri 4 dot charm that prevents healing stop it, and how would it wor mechanically?

Agg damage is very hard to heal by default.

So 20xp. Here is my idea.

[] Plan Doolittle
-[] Inner Devils Unchained - 12xp
-[] Crowned With Fury - 9xp

This is to give us a horde of Demonic animals that we can command. Inner Devils Unchained turns them into Formi and Crowned with Fury turns them into willing helpers and allows us to bypass having to use Animal Ken, which we have 0 in.

Having soldiers to guard the territory Molly has taken would be very valuable, it's going to be a while before she has an inner world to draw upon.

Enslaved animals with enhanced aggression seems like a bad idea.

In addition Crowed With Fury is really OOC for Molly to use at all. She has significant personal issues with mindcontrol effects and CWF is a blatant compulsion magic of the nastier sort.

If we want spamable disposable combatants then constructs made with Enchantment or robots operated by cyberdevils avoid all the practical and moral issues of twisting animals into monsters.

Remember, we are (nearly) done with only 1/6 of the arc. As to the Crowned with Fury, I have a lot of reservations about it.
