If you're asking Porter to potentially draw Yomi Wan aggro and help hide this lady, you need someone who can make binding offers.

Furthermore, if she gets into a random encounter in Undertown, she's done for the day.
Her total Essence pool is 6/6, which is Molly's halfway mark. She has 80% of Molly's base HP, and she cant heal as fast.
Its not wise to send her down here on an escort mission without Molly; we need her fit for South Works.

We always start a new scene with 1 mote. Even without it, we are not helpless.

I don't agree. It's everything, but it's doable together. It's a plan for the next several updates, essentially. A strategy to be modified as it unfolds.

There's 24 enemy agents in this town. Greater akuma, Eiko, 17x lesser akuma, 4x bakemono.
If we get jumped by six of those kueijin at 1 mote of Essence, or some other random supernaturals in Undertown, we are probably getting mauled, which would adversely affect our plans to deal with the greater akuma in the afternoon.

It just appears, in my judgement, to be a dumb risk to take for something that doesnt have to be done immediately.

Drop off Tuzi with Porter and the Dogs. Regen Essence in the car on our way back.
Meet back up with Dresden et al.
THEN you know if you can afford to spend more Essence on Crown questions.

Thats my thinking at least.

I hope you guys do not mind the slowdown, but I would rather give you all time to debate over closing it fast and then getting into something as volatile as a fight with a plan that has not been seen and debated by all interested parties.

That is precisely the sort of situation we dont want to be forced into. It would not help us if we won and took say, 6Ls of Aug while doing so and made it more difficult to activate Shintai when we meet the greater akuma.

Not to mention, these are still lesser akuma, not ghouls or Fomor servitors. They all got something for selling their allegiance to Hell.

We can body them if we start with juice in the tank, but at base they arent trivial opponents.

We never got a ruling on that; regular Akuma typically stay dead if you kill them, so they might not qualify as immortal enough to eat for essence.

In any case, @uju32 has a point about timing.

Voting to do everything at once is a problem because we can't necessarily adjust on the fly if the result of one part would otherwise make us change our minds on something or the risk profile changes unless we encounter a break point. Which would probably be caused by something going wrong.

Even if we do everything you're suggesting walking through it a few hours at a time while we maneuver the last pieces into place maximizes our ability to stack the deck and helps mitigate some of the risks we're taking.

You're banking a lot on a single card working exactly as intended without necessarily being able to ensure it. If something goes wrong while we're low essence and it falls outside of expectations then we're screwed.

Based on the previously establsihed pattern, I expect we'll be given chances to modify our actions based on feedback. The large plan is to establish how (from Molly's perspective)our actions should follow each other and synergy with each other.

1) Moved the "Kakuri's will abilities" to the first place - it might trigger essence regeneration
2) Added "never let your essence pool dip below 3" we spread asking questions between moving and doing other things.
3) Added several word tricks to contacting the traitors, so they fall under MiS immediately when talking to us - this way we show them we can, in fact, protect them.

Main argument for this plan: it looks big, but a lot of it is a matter of minutes and can be done on the go. We call Maria - and we should call her early, so she can try the ritual to make the weather sunny and hopefully nerf kakuri servants a bit. At most this adds 45 minutes overall, spent traveling. At 3 motes, we can invoke shintai and Green Sun Nimbus flare to one shot a mook if we are ambushed by several kakuri servants, and from there it's Murder is Meat happy fun time.

I cannot understate the importance of questions. Traitors among akuma are a resource we haven't explored at all that can prove critical here.

We call Harry and Thomas on the go too. We ask questions. Honestly, the plan can probably be cut at "get Bùshì Tùzǐ to safety" - everything else would be voted in the next several updates. I am just establishing "the plan" in Molly's IC mind, so, when calling Harry for a help with leylines, she can tell him what she's going to be doing next. If people are bothered by it, I can cut it there. @DragonParadox do I interpret previous voting history correctly - since the plan I wrote is a large one, likely to be covered in sections, it'll act like the general long-term plans, i.e. we'll cover a section, then get a chance to correct the course based on the how it plays out. It's not "we plan now, and you write several updates without our input, come hell or high water". At least I hope it's not - it's not intended (from me) like that.
 
I do indeed tend to use old plans as long term decision that can get tweaked on the fly. That is one of the things I can overuse even as a GM, give people too many votes, especially when there is danger, but hopefully I am not doing so now.

1)*points at ghost fight against Corpsetaker* We had Essence, we had allies, we won, we saved the hostage.
But Michael still took enough bashing damage to put him out of commission when we had to assault the Museum. And Corpsetaker still got away. Michael's great, but Tuzi is no Sigrun Gard, and the hostiles here are mostly deadlier than spectres.

Its a net loss to win a fight against mooks and leave the bosses free to act while we have to rest up.


2) Our ability to heal and draw power in poisoned areas is a quiet little trump we should not advertise.
Thats why in my plan, we're specifically not using it when Tuzi is around and in the car with us, only when we are going back to Dresden's place with Michael.

That's dumb it isn't as if knowing about it helps anyone fight us. Besides when we hide in a bottle we are hidden. If we don't tell them we are hiding in the bottle they won't know.

1)Yes it does help them fight us.

It means they know to expect us to recover power if we have access to contaminated water. It means that if they have us contained or imprisoned, they will try to get rid of any water around. It means they can make educated guesses about what other powers we might have and how they might work, and how to try to remove our advantages.

There is a reason everyone tries to minimize public knowledge of their trumps.


2)We are hidden to mundane senses.
The Infernal may hide herself away within any body of liquid, no matter how small or shallow, vanishing even into a puddle or cup if need be.
System: The Infernal spends a moment in concentration, and then vanishes into her liquid hiding place at the end of the turn. She may see and hear anything that occurs nearby, as though through a pane of thin glass. While hiding, she cannot be detected by any mundane means, even by diving in after her. Nor does she enjoy freedom of movement herself: she is effectively dispersed into her hiding-place at the point of immersion. If her hiding place is disrupted or dispersed (such as by dashing out the contents of a cup of coffee, or someone drinking it), or else evaporates or otherwise vanishes, the Infernal is forcibly ejected.
People with sufficiently keen magic senses, or magic sensors, can still find us.

We are going to get our kingdom fairly soon which means that we will be able to disappear out of any prison at will. It's not worth weakening ourselves to hide abilitys when we get new abilities all the the time. We already have so many that we sometimes can't keep track of them let alone our enemies who are subject to rumors and misinformation.

Regular Wan Kuei are still effectivly ghosts possessing corpses.

I think they might count for regaining Essence, though certainly not for regaining Shintai-uses.
That's debatable. It'd be really convenient, so I hope that's the case, but it's clear that they undergo some serious transformations when they come back from the hells.

The most direct example being that you can banish a ghost from something of someone it's possessing, but the same magics don't (to my understanding) cause jades to drop dead.

Yeah, but if we're breaking anyway we might as well pick the rough cutoffs one step at a time. DP does a good job at this, but there's still some tactical value in shorter vote cycles.

We can't use more than 3 essence in an approximately 15 minute period or we trigger Molly's anima banner.

I also strongly disagree that starting with one essence in an ambush is something we can brush off. All it takes is a little bad luck and we could pick up something crippling for the ongoing conflict.

Also, pretty sure that your MiS trick won't work. The other party has to knowingly be doing your bidding. Unless they do it because we said so rather than because they were doing it anyway or for some personal reason I don't think the charm will trigger.

There is no reason we should every stay that low in essance for more then 15 minutes. Also all these crown questions are about supernatural secrets.

It's not worth weakening ourselves to hide abilitys when we get new abilities all the the time. We already have so many that we sometimes can't keep track of them let alone our enemies who are subject to rumors and misinformation.
We have assets and party members at risk on this side of the Gauntlet.
This will ALWAYS be true. Its very seldom about just Molly's survival. Even now, we could avoid all the akuma problem by leaving Chicago and letting other people worry about the Yama Kings.

We should be keeping things on the DL that we dont have to expose. This is one of them.

The example you gave us Molly being locked up and you are really overestimating the information gathering abilities of the supernatural factions of DF as well as how willing they are to share information with each other.

But more importantly you are proposing that we deliberately weaknen ourselves on the off chance that someone happens to be scrying us with supernatural senses and ability never shown to be cheap or easy in DF and which can't be done on mass in any case.

And before you say that they can question anyone with us that is rumors and hearsay with people that have generally shown to be closed mouthed. Hell we can spread a few rumors. Tell Isabel to spread around how we are empowered by touching earth.

More importantly you are talking about making the worse more likely on the off chance that some enemy will imprison us in vat of poison or something which seems like such a long shot as to not be worth considering and could happen in any case.

The 2 essanse part comes from murdering anything sentient.

Whenever the Infernal murders a sentient being, the act nourishes her as though she had justeaten a four-course meal. If she slays a ghost or spirit, then she can reflexively roll Dexterity + Occult against a difficulty of its Willpower. Success conjures a vortex
of crimson flaying winds which slice its dissipating substance into stray motes of Essence. The Infernal regains 2 Essence, and the ghost or spirit is destroyed. Condemning a jaggling-level or greater spirit that is not a creature of darkness
in this fashion "rolls back" the number of times the Infernal is considered to have attempted to don her Shintai form during the current story by one, reducing its cost or difficulty accordingly (to a minimum of Essence 2, Willpower 2, and no roll requirement).
