I have a few ideas.

i would assume a party sized group if we could buy heros, 4-5 since an elf hero is good. Maybe not army killing level by themselves but a party of elf heros would be very good at precision operations, or acting as champions in a bigger battle I suppose.

Well, depends on your definition of a hero. You, being a Loremaster of Hoeth, are a hero, but you're not going to be able to get more of that kind of caliber.

But you could go with a small band of elites, or just trade all of your troops for a sweet mount or extra traits/items and be the Lone Samurai.

    Oof, gonna be some gut wrenching choices to make.

    I'll probably aim for quality more than quantity depending on how hard it is to recruit elves of all people for replacements. Plus just liking quality in general.

    Once, you were Loremaster Fanriel of House Drangleic, a Princess of Yvresse. Well-respected and influential, you stood at the pinnacle of Asur society. A heroic warrior and talented scholar alike, your example inspired many.

    Now, you are little more than an exile, stripped of your titles and lands, banished from Ulthuan by royal decree. But what terrible events led to your fall from grace?

    [] Insubordination in battle
    You thought you knew better. You didn't, and now disaster has struck, lives lost and the arch-enemy victorious.

    [] Lethal duel
    The terms were set to first blood, but the insult could not be expunged so easily. So you took first blood- and second blood, and third and fourth and fifth. Then you took his head off.

    [] Magical mishap
    It was reckless. You were told not to do it. You were supposed to know better. But you wished to push yourself further, faster than any had before. And now many elves, many good souls are lost forever to the mercies of the Aethyr because of your arrogance.

    [] Golden contraband
    The Phoenix Kings of ages past implemented strict laws against bringing artefacts found in the Lustrian jungles to Ulthuan, and for good reason. Nevertheless, you could not ignore the temptation, for the golden plaques offered insights into the fundamental building blocks of the world that you could not overlook. When legions of reptilian warriors arrived to reclaim them, the deaths they caused fell on your soul.

    You and a bitter rival of yours were each granted command over a host of warriors during an important campaign, forced to work together for the good of Ulthuan. You, however, allowed your personal enmity to cloud your judgement, leaving your comrades unsupported. Now, he and his men are dead, and you are to blame.

    [] Defiance before the Phoenix Throne
    A long-standing dispute was brought to the Seafarer for final judgement. But when he ruled against you, you refused to accept it, denying the authority of the Phoenix Throne. The law of Ulthuan is clear- those who refuse to be subject to its rulers cannot live within its borders.

    [] Familial blindness
    Your own flesh and blood, part of a proscribed cult. You refused to believe the truth before your eyes, and through your silence became complicit in their crimes.

    [] Hatred unending
    During a pitched battle, you continue to press your company onward even as reason bid you to retreat. These creatures, these abominations had defiled your homeland and slaughtered your family, and you would wring vengeance from their bloodied corpses with your bare hands if you had to. In the end, it was your men who paid the price.

    -I am willing to hear out write-ins, but they have to be approved by me first. The rule of thumb is that it has to be sufficiently serious to get you exiled but not executed, it has to have made someone really angry, and you have to have had some level of personal culpability for it.

    This for the angle that maybe we know something a little extra about the Winds of Magic.

    The alternative I kinda saved if an Avelorn Loremaster won the vote, is said Loremaster carrying a torch for Alarielle, Tyrion finding out, and politely exiling themselves after being beaten within an inch of their life.

    EDIT: Seeing Magical Mishap as an interesting detail for an impulsivity.

    It's blood feud time! I think this is a wonderful reason for our enemies to still be out to get us, even after we are exiled.
