Per the clarification DP posted we don't need to worry about it, but even for the other charms that do send the targets to hell I don't think the demons would be immediately hostile to us.Unfortunately, it doesnt go to our Hell until we get one.
And she's big enough business that she might be able to cut a deal to get out. If a Yama King needed a catspaw against the new demon emperor to be, a work-release program is a nobrainer.
And she would be Motivated.
I think the problem is that the charm makes clear the nourishment comes from the target, but somehow just planeshifts them to hell without any consequences anyway.Interestingly, the fluff says the murder itself nourishes the Infernal (rather than the spirit/soul being eaten like Ghost-Eating does) and the Hell, and as Hells are nourished by the souls they imprison, it makes sense that the system says it consigns the spirit/ghost to the Hell of being Flayed Alive.
Your ruling, of course, but it seems clear that the intention is that Infernals charms that do things like spirit/soul killers instead imprison souls, and that they then do have a chance of escape, given the FAQ.
It also makes sense in a way, as the Infernal Exaltations have taken on some part of the nature of the Hells, and they're all part taking/stealing/reprocessing souls, not destroying them. They may be a corrupted part of the cycle of reincarnation, but they're still a part of it.
What I think Infernals are lacking isn't a way to Perma-kill spirits, but something to do with captured ones, like how in 2E they could render them down for crafting

We should probably make at least a token offer before taking another ride. Maybe some sort of basic armor? Not enchanted, just something like what we're wearing.
If he ends up our minion then it's to our benefit anyway.

It seems reasonable to say that getting chewed on by an infernal should do something really nasty to the spirit beyond moving it around. Especially in the context of reprocessing it for essence in a world where that's precious and rare.
We need to meditate all day to get back that amount of essence, drawing at the max rate what remains of Molly's talent can pull on magic energy. That's a lot of power to traumatically rip out of a system all at once.
We can presumably talk about that when next we come down here to start upholding our end of the deal.We should probably make at least a token offer before taking another ride. Maybe some sort of basic armor? Not enchanted, just something like what we're wearing.

We have 5 Essence, but otherwise that statement stands. We have 6 Essence. I do not feel comfortable spending more till after we actually escape Kathrina.
Given our current skills we are very unlikely to need more than 4 in combat. We have 6 Essence. I do not feel comfortable spending more till after we actually escape Kathrina.

Thats what we're spending on the Excellency and HMP.
- It has been 30 minutes since you asked Black Rider the last time putting you at 15 minutes from her arriving at the tattoo parlor. It is now 4:20 PM
- The elemental does know ways out, though you will have to roll to persuade it to take you there riding
- Lydia took no damage you cushioned the blow
- Between the Dragon's nest and finding that Lydia was possessed you get that +2 Essence sure
- You would have to vote to look through her phone, specifically because the only way you are unlocking it is with HMP.
Maybe, but this is a civility thing. The guy doesn't work for us, and we've asked for a favor beyond the scope of our deal once already. We can presumably talk about that when next we come down here to start upholding our end of the deal.
Note that we dont even know its name.
And its apparently deliberately not sharing it in front of all these people.
Or maybe it doesnt have one, and our eventually giving it a Name is going to be Significant.
Im loath to make more promises when we havent even begun to deliver on the one we already made.Maybe, but this is a civility thing. The guy doesn't work for us, and we've asked for a favor beyond the scope of our deal once already.
Acting like someone is your employee, or knows you well enough that you can just ask them for things, is rude.
Especially since this is effectively the same service he just sold to us, so it's established he charges for it.
He's an earth wyrm playing train in a supernatural subway station, literal free rides are probably not his favorite thing.
I'm not enthused about more debt either, but we can't expect to get things for free. If we want services we need to pay for them, and being slippery about agreeing to do so does us no favors.Im loath to make more promises when we havent even begun to deliver on the one we already made.
Is it fair to think we owe him/her/it more? Yes, agreed. Should we discuss it when next we come down here to start work? Yes. Statuary, jewelry, handmade precious stones for a dragonhoard, a personal temple, whatever. But I dont think we should be making more promises without starting on the one we already did.
And from a narrative perspective, this does not seem like the time to discuss this.
Kattrin is only 15 minutes from the tattoo parlor.
I mean, he can see why we're asking. Its not a matter of convenience, its a matter of her father being injured.
And if he has any sort of supernatural senses whatsoever, he has some idea of the nature of the magics wielded here, from White God mojo to Old Norse magics and Molly's quasidivine Power.
He can reasonably expect not to be shafted.

This is pretty out there, but do you guys think our mechanics specialty is good enough that we could build a 50 cal integrated into a wyrm sized neck brace that he could fire with his mouth? Sort of like this:
Not because it's necessarily a good use of our time, but because it's funny.
That's even better. I know it's a silly idea, but now that it's in my brain I can't help but want to make it practical.Keep in mind that the elemental has shown some degree of mutability, it's not like handholds make logical sense for it to have and yet he has been able to produce them. That would indicate that maybe he does not have to fire the gun with its mouth.
