so my Vote is for
[X] "What's the answer worth to you?" Usum suggests trying to cut some kind of deal and he claims step one of that is showing you have power and are not minded to reveal it for free.
-[X] "And what's me not speaking any louder worth?" you whisper conspiratorially.
this is from a later post and I would like to include it in my vote.

true but let's put it this way the white council gets to deal with a major threat to their power, because remember bringing muggle auuthorities into the Masquerade is considered a major violation of that whole world of secrecy thing that they got going on, and while wizards wouldn't exactly be safe if the truth came out they would be a lot lower on the priority list then say for example the red court vampires, white court vampires, the fae and literally every other supernatural faction out there.Yeah, but going in guns blazing would have been worse for Harry.
Very few big players in the magical world would care about a few cops paying the price for that.
That tells us that whoever is behind this is either not primarily interested in hurting Harry, or he doesn't have enough of a grip on the agents to make them do something like this.
