Honestly, i mostly want Governance because the MC is going to have to conquer lots of planets and knowing how to set up sustainable democratic governments on them is going to require knowledge about this shit.

We can't rely on anyone else to do this stuff of setting up a Multi-Sector republican mini-state inside the Imperium. But by learning how exactly the republican system on our homeworld works, we can copy it and modify it to suit local conditions.
Wouldn't that already be kind of a failstate though? If we're in a position to both directly conquer those worlds and organize their long term government then the line between civil and military leadership has already become pretty blurred.

The Emperor is going to demand we conquer those planets and the military leadership will be the civilian leadership for a good chunk of the Great Crusade. It's just something we need to deal with and make good of a bad situation.

Edit: I suppose we can try to oppose the Emperor from the start, but i feel that's doomed to failure. We must work with him early on imo but i am open to alternatives.

[X] Plan: Build a better future
[X] Plan

I'm interested in plans that go for non-combat skills. Drake isn't even interested in combat, really, it's too easy for him. But engineering, a psyker skill, and maybe governance are all fun specialties that take advantage of actually growing up in a sane democratic nation. And IIRC Naval Combat would be unique among the Primarchs, plus it'd be something he learned from his mom. So while I'm not crazy about Naval Combat I'm willing to vote for plans that include it.

By the second stage of the quest, that line will become blurred as Drake takes up command of the XI Legion. Now, he could bring civilian specialists along with him, but Emps is going to blur the line for the duration of the duration of the Great Crusade( and then attempt to unblur the line once it starts to die down).

Also even in the first stage of the quest, there will be communication lag if you expand beyond the Bladus system. Being able to set up stable governments will be a boon if you decide to expand the Federation of Bladus. Not to mention knowing how governance works means knowing what to wreck and what not to wreck if you end up having to conquer a world. Like your imperialist neighbours.

Then again, you don't need to know it and you can leave things up to the civilian government to handle things while still having things turn out fine. Knowing it just makes it easier and quicker if you decide to go expanding into other systems.

[X]Plan Grand Admiral

What does Drake Artorius focus on in his childhood? (Pick three)

-[X] Naval Combat. Drake engages in self-study on the art of naval combat, learning how warships are commanded and how to win or lose a naval engagement.
-[X] Governance. Drake focuses on his classes at school, learning about how the government works and how to run a nation.
-[X] Engineering. Drake focuses on his volunteer work, learning how machinery works and how to make improvements upon standard equipment.
Who does Jenivere become to Drake Artorius?
-[X] His girlfriend. Jenivere is Drake's girlfriend and their love is romantic in nature.

In saying that, is there a chance we could add other star systems to the federation before the Great Crusade?

you need a [] in front of Plan Grand Admiral

[X]Plan Citizen-General

[X]Plan Supreme Commander

When we meet the other Primarchs I don't want drake to get jumped by Leman or Mortarion, that and having telepathy seems a really interesting choice in the future. Also Primarch romance with nice girl *twirls phone cord*, this is a perfect opportunity to catch some really goof ass shenanigans from our boy drake.

You will need to format it as a plan vote, which means putting an '[X]' in front of the plan name.

Yes. I'll be surprised if you don't.

@Oshha, if we expand outwards then will you be rolling to see if we encounter another Primarch before either of us encounter the Emperor?

No. For when each Primarch is found, I will be sticking to canon so Drake will be the last Primarch to found with the possible exception of Alpharius. Likewise with when you'll be found, it will be the same as canon. This is so I have a clear point for when the first stage of the quest ends and the second stage begins in addition to keeping the Primarchs mostly the same so I don't need to worry about how they would have developed differently due to player butterflies.
