Green Flame Rising (Exalted vs Dresden Files)

Fair enough, I thought part of the reason that Molly had issues was that young fetches are so dumb they're barely sapient but I don't actually have a citation for that.

I'd like to say that the fae should know better than to play long term plotting games with a guy who at times who's "mysterious ways" can make a sane tzeentch look like a chump, but they have shown a willingness to try their luck.

I'd still buy almost anyone else trying this before the Denarians though. The closest we see them get to this sort of thing is with throwing that coin at little Harry and driving off. Whatever protection they're under is probably specifically set up for countering them, and Daniel hasn't done anything to take him outside of that yet.
The fae have a tendency to plot for years, and then cap it off with a sudden YOLO.
Schizophrenic plotting is pretty standard for them.

As for the Denarians, look at what happened with Father Vincent.
Associate of Father Forthill, who is Michael's pastor, they kill him in a distinctive way with plagues, have Cassius steal his face and ID, use it to get a sample of the Shroud of Turin, then use his face to hire Dresden, another Michael associate.

And they still have the arrogance to abandon the body somewhere where it ends up in the Chicago morgue, imstead of simply burning it to dust with the magic we know every one of them can wield.
Arrogance is a defining Denarian trait.

Yeah, this could be BAD with a fail so worth the temp WP. Molly has lost enough classmates recently.

I am vaguely amused that a bunch of people waited on what's basically the same vote, but with slightly different seasoning.

Spending WP is a good call though. As someone earlier pointed out.

I mean, Infernals used demons in 2E, but they were consistent and predictable.
Literally everyone with the time, resources, and smarts to summon Demons used them in 2E.

To be fair Stunts are "the exact same action, but with different flavor text".

Associates aren't the same as direct family members. I'm assuming his protection only covers the people who got an angelic protection detail after he was forced to retire.

I think trying to cushion the fall is easier to pass off than catching him, and would get us out of school for the day, but having to fake injuries for the rest of the week would get annoying.

Funny thought that just occurred to me, you can literally give people common sense if they wish for it.

Common Sense (1 point): You've got a good head
on your shoulders and a natural aversion to foolish risk. In
tense situations, you may ask the Storyteller for hints about
the most reasonable course of action. The Storyteller may
also grant you a warning against poorly considered actions.

Probably the first time a demonic boon lead to that, though not the first time the recipient needed it. :V

I'm inclined to believe Daniel's new love interest is a White Court Vampire rather than Fey, assuming she's supernatural at all. Just because she claimed she didn't know who Mario is doesn't mean she really didn't. She could have just been playing dumb for Daniel's benefit. That's not an uncommon tactic in the teenage girl handbook.

Needs mention of interacting with the environs so that it can become a two die stunt (If using the same rules for stunts that I'm familiar with.)

Do you think we'll have to talk to the cops after this? Those guys did just push a kid out a window, and there will probably be video proof online the second after we put him down.

I don't recall cell phone cameras being all that great in 2006. Any footage people get will probably be hopelessly blurry.

I don't think they'll see anything that looks overtly supernatural, just near implausibly athletic.

The video should show whatever they were doing before the freshman got pushed out of the third floor window. It's not exactly a problem because we aren't responsible for this, but it could derail our day. Might also need to be prepared to deal with some light questioning about what we did.

The Denarians are good at ruleslawyering and temptation though, and the White God is all about exercise of free will.
So I find it plausible that they would be allowed to tempt without interference, as long as that was all they did.
One inch further and "coincidence" kicks in, but as long as you toe the line, nothing happens.

I think evidence suggests he fell out by mistake because he and his friends were horsing around.
If they actually pushed him, thats a different matter.
And the kid will tattle.

Regardless, we're probably both for interviews by police and school authorities, and the medics are going to poke and prod at both of us for the rest of the morning, if not the entire day.
Assuming we noth survive unharmed. If anyone breaks something, days gone.

I think it was more that they were leaning out of the window for a pic, and then fell.
What with holding their friend's phone.
edit;
IE Dumbass stunt rather than attempted murder.
That's fair, I thought it was something like a glorified little slap fight that happened in a bad location but looking again it does just describe them as horsing around.

They're allowed to try without angelic coincidence, but the knights also tend to get alerted to a true Denarian trying something where they can do something about it. The whole point of their office is to be the white god's free will technicality.

Presumably "on a date with your oldest son" is considered close enough for them to get involved in opposing a plot.

Maybe they could try a series of cutout to get around triggering something with their direct presence, but if that was the case wouldn't they use a better patsy?

Original Iphone is 2007, and it came with a 2MP camera.
Thats apparently good enough to be pretty clear, if you're filming video in that resolution. And thats because it was a smartphone; there were non-smartphones with much better resolution pre-2007, like some of the Nokias.

No idea if they're in the hands of highschoolers though.
Teenage status games get weird.

I guess we'll see.
