Due do the drive change, I've got some revised numbers for a quick charm project to address Kong Zhi's lack of anam capacity.
The design rolls are likely to add +12 to the BT of our next charm.
Our first Woodworking action will be around 14 successes (half a build action plus bonus dice).
Subsequent actions will be around 22 successes.
If Jewelcarving is used instead, this will be about 14.5 successes from the first action, and 26 successes for subsequent actions.
For infusion, it will be about 33 successes for the first Infusion action (unless those Cycling bonus dice are used first), which is equivalent to 36 BT. (Breathing technique discount.)
Without bonus dice, infusion actions will generate around 27 successes, equivalent to 30 BT.
A further limitation is that we only have access to 29 anam from Treasures (although we can infuse from our Core, but that should not be relied on, which is why it would be good to have an anam capacity charm...).
So, if we want a charm that we can create quickly, setting the maximum BT at 30 gives us something that we should be able to infuse in one action, as well as complete in 2 build actions.
Therefore, we want no more than 18 BT from the materials.
Combinations that give that sort of numbers (and are also likely to use Woodworking or Jewelcarving) are:
Still Growing Sapling (Wood/Life 13) or Free Fallen Staves (Wood 14) with Flowing Feathers of the Camel Turkey (Wind 4) or Startouched Eggshell (Star 4)
or
Cowardly Hoof (Wood 10) with Nightwillow Roots (Earth/Life 7) or Veilpiercer Mushrooms (Mind/Life 8)
Of course we can always aim lower, which makes it less likely for the design roll to go super high again...
A few design ideas using these combinations:
Sapling + Feathers: Wood/Life/Wind
A leaf and feather fan: Woodworking
Creates a refreshing wind that restores anam and life over time. Could also increase speed.
Staves + Eggshell: Wood/Star
A rod or wand: Woodworking
Releases a beam of starlight to replenish the target's anam. Also functions as a torch.
Hoof + Roots: Wood/Earth/Life
A carved totem of an Auroch: Jewelcarving
The totem creates a connection with the earth, allowing the user to borrow strength from the earth to increase their anam and life pools. Might react with BSA.
Hoof + Mushrooms: Wood/Mind/Life
Not sure at all: Jewelcarving
A mental healing charm? This combination doesn't say anam restoration/battery to me.
