If anyone is going to pike OWLs then pike to do the N.E.W.T instead Birdsie has said Harry can do it if he trying and him completing the 7th year final is more impressive then him completing the 5th year final

If we need to pike heirs quickly I think Draco and Hermione are good guesses

I don't think the OWLs or NEWTs matter...
It's a certification of ability, not any additional ability. Being told by Birdie that death is a serious threat here means that we have got to sort out our priorities.

[X] Focus on finding the Chosen with Neville and the inner circle members. Do the absolute minimum necessary for classwork and attendance this month. Try to use the Star of the Chosen to divine who they are, see if you can use the Maurader's map and Ornias' assistance as well.
[X] Hermetic Attainment
[X] Singularity Attainment

Best I can tell, the nature of the threat is unclear. As such, pure power offers the best boost to whatever unknown skill(s) will be needed to survive.

I am voting for the same thing you are but if this vote fails I at least want the winning vote to be the best it can be

What you are voting for won't give us the strength to survive though. Magic Power is just the mana pool and potency of a wizards magic spells harry won't really get stronger with your pikes. At least not quick enough to matter in the life or death event coming up. It just gives pure potential that we do not have the time to realise

Frenzied Attainment Dark Arts will give us access to lot's of combat spells right away that will boost our combat strength greatly while singularity will give us the Magic Power to use the best of them

Plus, Frenzied won't fade away over time, and its defensive aspect is something that offers a whole lot of utility. No need to disarm any traps for example if you're more powerful than anything in the room.

Do you know what would make Hermetic truly incredible?
Hermetic + Supernova

Dumbledore has 7.25 magical power.
Harry would have 7.50
Imagine. And we could also brute force all the Dark Arts rituals to keep permanently acquiring power by the time Supernova wears off.
Going Singularity with Hermetic is a missed opportunity.

Another interesting route would have been Tris Alchemy + Ecliptic
We would have been expotentally boosting Alchemy from things like Apple of Eden. We could have had minions transverse the portal worlds and strip them bare. Summon demons to brew the loot ad infinitum.

Also we were talking about the Convocation earlier and the Runes we need to decipher to hatch when @Kufufu made a startling realisation.

It's the stars.
The Runes could be written on the constellations.

I still feel like Singularity+Supernova would be best to be honest.

Extreme magical power, brute force willing things by raw power. Gives combat power, ability to leverage the short term power into long term benefits, the power never goes down, the runes ability could solve the whole rune thing.

It's also thematically consistent! A supernova erupts then collapses into a singularity. A great flare of power into a black hole that eternally attracts more to itself.

Singularity has a much higher cap because it doesn't add any difficulty to increasing magical power. We'd get a huge boost, then still grow at a rapid pace.

what exactly would we grow with? we'd have no immediate avenues of significant growth. supernova has reality warping, frenzied has mastery in a field but hermetic instead invests in a moderate growth multiplier to do all the actual boosts later, which involves a pretty significant investment of time considering we're going to wipe out our gnosis stockpile. the growth involved is, as far as we know, delayed for quite a while until we actually unlock things to invest into

In a completely ordinary forest, the night darkness obeyed. The barely audible rustle of nocturnal animals penetrated the hood of a tall figure standing at the edge of the forest. This figure was wearing only pale purple headbands.
After standing for a couple of seconds on the edge of the undergrowth, as if listening to something, she slipped like a shadow into the forest.
Moving silently like a midnight ghost, she walked past the trees in strange chaotic circles, only to disappear in an instant. If a potential observer had the proper insight, he would have recognized the influence of alien stars that helped hide the strange stranger.
Meanwhile, the mysterious figure continued walking until at some point it approached an inconspicuous tree.
Thrusting a long, not naturally flexible arm under one of his wagons, the figure took out a strange tablet with strange complex symbols.
After that, the mysterious stranger said. "I am the one who appears and will appear, Dressed in Purple Majesty, I kindly ask you to open the gate."
After a long time, Purple stepped aside, finding himself in a clearing. Surrounded by dense impenetrable forest.
The first thing that caught the eye of anyone who got here was a tall green container with a cut top. To which a pair of stairs led. Twenty meters away from the strange structure was a pair of steel boxes. The most accurate description of them would be steel coffins surrounded by a dozen strange protruding pipes.
If we take into account the size of the forest clearing and the size of the objects on it, then we could assume that the picture was very deserted, but anyone who would make such a conclusion would be greatly mistaken. Because there was a lot of activity in the clearing.
A couple of well-dressed people were busy with iron coffins. But the number of creatures was not limited to them, and every now and then various animals came to the clearing, flew in, pushed. In their mouths they brought various parts of plants and animals, which were systematically dumped in several grouped piles.
The man in purple approached one of the bustling men.
With his strange rudeness in his voice, he said.
"When will there be a new delivery?"
The person addressed looked up at the star for a moment, and then said.
"Right now"
A cloudy white mist appeared in the middle of the clearing, more like foam in its consistency, and released two creatures from itself.
One of them would have looked like an ordinary person, if not for his hands, like bone spatulas.
"This is one of the new ones," Lilac noted to himself.
The second one looked like a troll with a lot of stone needles stuck in its back, but this circumstance didn't seem to bother the creature too much. He was carrying a pair of dead wolves in his arms.
As soon as they were completely out of the fog, it turned into a translucent haze that remained hanging near the ground.
As soon as the man with the scalpel in his hands noticed the bandaged figure, he exclaimed.
"The gentleman in purple hasn't seen you in weeks. And I have your order for you. A pair of wolves, just like you asked."
The man in purple just nodded and walked over to a large container.
Salpeli hastily clasped his hands behind his back, while the troll was not a step behind him.
When they got to the container, everyone went up the stairs. The embarrassment almost happened only when the stairs under the troll sobbed violently, but thanks to some miracle (strengthening runes) she stood it.
Taking the first carcass of the wolf, the scissors slowly began to open it, licking the veins of the artery, slowly draining the blood into a tank with a clear liquid. Oddly enough, the blood did not mark the liquid somewhat, because it instantly restored purity.
Having finished with the first tight arm, the scalpels threw it into the liquid, where it quickly sank to the bottom.
Will she logically work with the second one, he asked casually.
"If it's not a secret, then why do you need wolves?"
After a pause , the purple figure said:
"I want to check how well this form will cope with the hunt for ingredients", -
he added after a moment of silence.
"There are too many curious people here too, we need to temper their ardor,"
Salpeli nodded and threw the second wolf to the first.
"Well, everything is ready, the zombies will turn out like new from the living, if you don't rip their belly open, you won't be able to distinguish" at the word, a nasty giggle rang out from his stomach. Salpeli slapped his stomach with his palms.
The man in bandages said that.
"I hope there are no misfires this time"
Ruki salpeli laughed nervously and said.
"Oh, don't mention that incident. Then we found a new component and tested it. No one could say that he was behaving so strangely,"
The man in Purple only nodded graciously and changed the subject.
"What are you going to do next?"
In response to this scalpel shrugged his shoulders.
"Oh, nothing special, just a routine youth check.
To this, the man in bandages only nodded, as if he knew what he would be answered, and asked out of politeness. After five seconds of awkward silence, he asked another question.
"I have been tormented by the question for a long time, why is such an important project as the creation of young demons being carried out on a camping base?",
The man with a scalpel, finding in the words of his comrade a way to break the awkward silence, began to speak.
"It's very simple, Mr. Ornias, do you think that the creation of a new kind of demons will be more convenient under the shadow of native stars, as well as..."
He was interrupted by a man who suddenly appeared with a bird from his forehead. Who was talking loudly.
"Boss, the birds reported to me that those people are spinning around our forest again.".
Without wasting a second, the man in Purple took out a tiny vial from his innumerable warehouse, which he drank to the bottom, "
His natural clairvoyance manifested a thousand times, and after a moment of enlightenment, he returned to reality."
And quietly hissed "Ministry"
After a moment , he exclaimed loudly:
"I'm announcing an evacuation to put everything you can into the bottomless chests, and then immediately into the portal."
Several similar rooms for mindless zombies spread out across the clearing.
The camp was in motion.

Magical power naturally grows as you age, and our boon picked at character creation causes us to grow faster than normal. There's a reason that 100 year old wizards are naturally very powerful. We skip so far ahead of the growth curve without hindering our growth, that any further power we get is huge.

Edit: hermetic+singularity is far and away the best late game strategy. It essentially raises our power cap, then gives us spells as a domain of Greatness, then gives a noticeable increase to our learning speed. While lacking the immediate learning benefits of becoming a master in Year 1, hermetic would undoubtably give more of a learning boost over Harry's entire life.

We are still in year one, I feel like everyone is panicking over our final boss for year one when I don't think we're in as much danger as people think. There will undoubtably be a trial, but one intended for us before we invested 50!!! Gnosis plus a sizeable donator backing. Our trials will likely be adjusted during an apocryphal proc or during the next year, but I don't think we're in immediate quest end territory at all. Long term is a good investment when the wolves aren't at your door.

[X] Plan Not Dying

Changed my mind mastery of the DA is too good to pass up now we have not even gotten mastery of Astrology yet

Why would raw magical power be able to overcome the hatching ?

Having more magical power won't make us a better fighter you know. It just lets us cast more spells before running out of juice and lets us use more energy draining spells. But we don't know any more draining spells and don't have time to learn them so that won't be of any help for the hatching

Plan Not Dying does give us increased combat power thought which will help us survive

I thought it also improved resistance to magic in general. Not the flat immunity of some other options, but also a broader resistance.

Additionally, was it confirmed that the challenge to survival something that can be fought with magic, such as the Dark Arts? Buying extensive mastery and resistance in a single area is betting everything on that area being relevant.

The amount of raw power offered in the options is more than enough to super charge any of our spells. A charm cast by dumbledore is a lot more threatening than one cast by a first year, simply because of the amount of power he can put behind it.

The plan was not betting our survival on being knowledgeable and resistant of the dark arts. The plan was for the mastery in the dark arts to let harry know a bunch of combat spells right away and use them to beat what ever danger was coming with raw damage

I'm not sure if supercharging spells is a thing or if it is how much stronger those spells would be. But at this point harry knows vary few combat spells a super finger locking jinx's won't save harry

The Hallowed invisibility cloak is pretty powerful here, it seems, granting the property of being hidden instead of bending light or however your normal thestral-hair cloaks do things. The raw offensive power of dark arts being Frenzied along with the extra oomf from Singularity allows Harry to go all out while not having to worry too much about shielding. Just moving about unpredictably while casting spells that don't emerge as glaringly obvious beams of light should be enough to stave off most mortal threats. I feel like this has already been stated, but to put it clearly, plan Not Dying isn't just about long-term growth.

You know, I feel like I have to ask. How was Singularity Supernova not "Plan Not Dying" with the Magic 10 brute reality warping in DA and Runes?

Because we both don't want to die and get improvements that will help us grow greatly. Supernova and Singularity while the most safe option will will cause us to loss the power we gain eventually which is bad for growth

Plan Not Dying is the optimal balance between safety and potential since we get to keep our advancements while also getting immediate power to help save us

I mean...this isn't quite true, I think.
Supernova Singularity could do all sorts of crazy accelerated plans due to being extremely magically powerful and able to brute force all kinds DA Astrology and Runes stuff like self-enhancing stuff, divinations for usef things, broken runes and summoning demons to help us.

And even if we disregarded all that, it sets us to magic power 10. This never goes lower or goes away, only ever higher as we'd be technically 6.5 + 3.5. Creating an absurdly stable and ever increasing foundation and directly speeding up all our other efforts.

Seeing as some spells need minimum power such as the nihil ex nihilo and starwriting.
