The Path Unending (A Cultivation Quest)

Yeah, I imagine the three votes will shape Chui Dao's perspective and desires. The dagger-axe will lend more heavily into violent war, which Chui Dao already favors for reasons we don't fully know. In my opinion, I don't think we want Chui Dao be more violent. I think that will bleed into Chui Dao's effects when forging using them, like being more willing to bend and shape instruments of war and less willing to do much of else. Furthermore, given that Chui Dao is a hammer kukuni that can communicate (if not very well) with Kong Zhi, I suspect that Chui Dao's aspect/mindset will start to bleed into Zhi as well.

The jewelry option seems like it lends towards more delicate work, which would be nice but I imagine we wouldn't need another delicate tool when we have so many already. And while it would be nice to let Zhi nerd out about jewelry with Chui Dao, I don't think it would enjoy such an experience as much as him.

That's why I think the armorer is the better option. It still (to some degree) fills out Chui Dao's interest in war, but it lends itself more towards defense and protection instead of violence. As well, it is a more balanced approach that could hopefully lead to Chui Dao mellowing out a little with its fascination with weapons.

[x] The armorer who is putting the finishing touches on a gleaming helmet. It may not be the most fascinating thing for Chui Dao, but the Kukuni needs a well-rounded education.

There's more to War than offensive weapons.

[X] The jeweler preparing an elaborate chain sleeve. It's fine work that's close to my heart, and I'm certain that Chui Dao can benefit from further jewelry lessons.

It's not gonna win, but I don't really care which of the other two do win so gonna register my protest vote.

Given the mention of other consequences... sure, why not.

I think it's more the beginning of tying CD into more of Zhi's crafting. Get CD interested in the things that interests Zhi, I suppose. So this would maybe eventually tie CD more closely to Zhi's own path of cultivation? If we look far enough ahead.

If we go by Steel as a defensive aspect = armor then going for the armorer is a commonality that Zhi and CD share. Their path would be a shared one.

Weapons = War
This could be wholly separate as Zhi currently doesn't have any War techniques integrated. It could change of course, as Zhi can carve channels with War anam etc. But Chui Dao would make the path and Zhi would have to follow.

Or it could simply represent Chui Dao's first skill increase!

[x] The weaponsmith currently laboring over a dagger-axe. It's an older style weapon, which means that there's plenty for Chui Dao to be curious about.
