[X] Hufflepuffs Stick Together - Sorry Ron, Hermione, and Daphne. House loyalty comes first. Accompany his dumb ass lest he gets himself killed by a troll that spawns out of nowhere to swing a giant club around. And besides, you can always study tomorrow. ++Neville, -Your Other Friends,
+Dudley Dursley. "I'm sorry I didn't save you, cuz. I should've saved you."

Neville has been a consistently good ally so far. And it sounds like he might actually get into trouble without backup. I kinda want to see some action too, I'm sure Harry could pass the test.

This is misleading; there is no hidden text there as of the time this was posted.

Neville's a good guy and this is a probably harmless means of getting him to discover "hey, remember that time when you didn't listen to me and had to run from that troll?"

if you highlight this section their is transpert text

[X] Study Instead

There was nothing Harry could've done to prevent Dudley's death. He was collateral damage from a kidnapping attempt by Death Eaters.

[X] Hufflepuffs Stick Together

I do not want someone to die, I trust Geist regarding the dungeons, and potentially saving a life and telling Neville to leave once something bad happens and he becomes conflicted is worth missing a study session.

When I quote the original post I also see the transparent text.
Huh. It's transparent and doesn't show up when highlighted, only when copy+pasted.

That is a shame, because I have really enjoyed this story but I also find concealed text in votes like this...sufficiently displeasing that I'm going to take my leave. Great story, love how all the characters are developing, neat mechanics and means of leaning and influencing votes that I would have thought would be enough without the transparent "gotcha".

[X] Hufflepuffs Stick Together

What's Harry Potter without blatant breakage of the rules and people berating you for it?

[X] Hufflepuffs Stick Together

You guys are saying things about leaving our friends to rot- but Neville's our friend too? and he's going to a more dangerous place then a study group.

lol

If I unconceal it, will that change your opinion? It was originally going to be plainly written. If an aesthetic difference makes you leave, then... adieu?

On top of that... The concealed text is useless and inconsequential. Wanna know why a +Dudley is meaningless?

BECAUSE DUDLEY IS FUCKING DEAD. Six feet under. Food for worms. Fertilizer.

It does strongly imply that Neville is in actual danger
It does strongly that, maybe, perhaps, possibly, we now have magic and we can help those we love.
Gabriel's correct in this regard - one of Harry's major - if not defining - childhood events was his presence during the Death Eater vs Aurors fight. And the fulcrum of that event was the fact that he was utterly powerless to protect the ones he loved; a power that he now does possess, and therefore will feel compelled to use in that regard.
