Aiding the E.G.G.M.A.N. (Sonic)

Beyond that your week is simple, you end up having to deal with an incident involving a few Egg Pawns encasing another's feet in concrete and than dumping them off the harbor, but you've long accepted the fact that you somehow made the Egg Pawns smart enough to make mistakes a being of far less intelligence would not…. The idea that being smart can lead a being into even greater hights of stupidity was always interesting to you, good thing you creator seems immune to that possibility, if he wasn't the results would be horrifying.
Brain says stupidity. I say the Eggs are forming a fucking mafia, power blocks and factions

I cannot help but think Eggman think this would be hilarious

Besides making Silver Sonic the Speed Hero of the Team Egg group, with Silver Sonic built up, we can get it used to train and prepare Shadow against Sonic, so that while Sonic gets caught off guard and loses more time against us, Shadow (and by extension, ourselves) can move forward with our plans for a time.

Overview On "Pre-E-100 Series" E-Badniks
====================================

Most of my processing power is currently focused on applying the new armor upgrades to ALPHA, as messing up even a tiny bit would force me to completely redo the entire retrofit. Still, I can spare enough to start another, currently less important, objective that needs to be finished. The Doctor has created many different "Badniks" over the years, many having actual merit to them that would only be expanded if they were upgraded with modern technology, and others that... aren't. As he has had years to create whatever designs he wished, this means that there are many models that I will have to examine to see if they are worthy to be brought back into service.

As the Doctor's previous focus, before he created that... thing, was on the E-100 series, I will focus on reviewing the members of the E-Series that were built before ALPHA. Though, this will be somewhat difficult as all the data on E-01 through E-10 has been deleted, with the only explanation being a digital note from Eggman himself that simply reads: "All ten original prototypes were destroyed thanks to their own stupidity. I'm going to simply start from scratch with E-11." While somewhat annoying, as I will never be able to recover the combat data produced by them, which could help me in the future, I am sure that whatever caused them to destroy themselves was a big enough issue to completely erase their plans from the main database.

E-11 Beacon: E-11 (Beacon) seems to be based off of the older, and even more outdated, Balkiry Badnik. Though, unlike the Balkiry (which I will get to when I examine the first few original generations of Badniks), E-11 does have somewhat stronger armor, allowing it to take a bit more damage before being destroyed. Its weapons also allow it to shoot down small aircraft, and its speed lets it both dodge and destroy GUN missiles. And, thanks to its talons, E-11 can swoop down and capture an enemy and either drop them from high up in the air or drag them back to the Egg Carrier.
- Possible Uses: While the Egg Carrier now has a small fleet guarding it, having additional flying Badniks to fend off boarding attempts and enemy fighters would push the scale of any aerial battle towards a victory for Eggman's forces.
- Eggman's Request: As Eggman wishes for his water-base fleet to be well defended, returning E-11 to full functionality and active service would please him as it could easily perch itself on top of any of the ships in the fleet, and it would, with some upgrades, count as a Super Badnik/"boss". Though, as the Egg Carrier and its new fleet will probably be a far more important asset for the Doctor, which still isn't fully defended from possible aerial attacks and boarding attempts, it may be better to choose another design to serve as the "boss" of the naval fleet. Or, as Eggman is requesting a high-powered Flight-based robot, E-11 could be upgraded into something far more powerful.

E-12 Behemoth: The E-12s (Behemoth) seem to be the Doctor's first attempt at mass-producing a member of the E-Series. Though, I am unable to prove this for certain, as, again, Eggman deleted the data on the first ten models. For its abilities, while the built-in jets on its back are quite useful, the main draw of the E-12 is its raw strength. While not as strong as Knuckles, or even the left-to-rot Mecha Knuckles, they can rip through metal walls with ease and take far more hits than an Egg Pawn.
- Possible Uses: As they were originally designed to be guard bots, I see no reason to change this. They may not be able to deal with the strongest Mobians, but they certainly could tear through any attacking GUN forces they encounter.
- Eggman's Requests: While there may be better designs for this role, but I could submit an upgraded E-12 design to serve as one of the guards for the Chemical Plant. Plus, they are strong enough to lug around any supplies in the Chemical Plant.

E-13 Guardbot: The E-13 (Guardbot) was meant to, as made obvious by the name, serve as a guard for the Doctor's many based. While the Behemoth is far superior in every way, it's also far more expensive, has a higher power need, and takes longer to build. So, to have a cheaper alternative, which could still alert stronger robots like the E-12, Eggman created the flimsy and basic E-13. And, well, he certainly accomplished his goals, as it's basically a moving turret that can both shoot an enemy and alert the rest of the base if catches sight of any intruders.
- Possible Uses: Besides improving their A.I., so they don't accidentally shoot other Badniks, most of the upgrades I can currently think of for the E-13 are quite basic as, if I added too many features to it, the original purpose of the design (being a cheap alternative to the E-12) would be rendered moot.

E-14 Sneezer: The E-14 (Sneezer) is another produced member of the E-Series, though it does serve a different role from the previous two. The design of the E-14 is, in the most basic terms, a missile launcher with wheels. Each E-14 comes with fifteen pre-loaded rockets, which can be reloaded on the fly during a battle. While not that useful against a Mobian who can move faster than their missiles, a few upgrades can be made to them to make them better at another roll.
- Possible Uses: As GUN uses slower-moving robots as the main component of their ground forces, with heavy vehicles meant to take out more dangerous threats, the E-14s could be used to even the battlefield when deployed alongside Egg Pawns.
- Eggman's Requests: Though, by retrofitting them, the E-14s could also serve as a good naval unit as, at the end of the day, they're just small robots equipped with a massive amount of missiles. Missiles that can easily destroy smaller capital ships used by enemy forces. While Sonic doesn't seem to have access to a ship, these, hypothetical, naval E-14s could easily rip apart GUNs water-based assets.

E-15, E-16, E17: Similar to the original ten designs, these three models have also been deleted from the main database. The is no reason given why these three models no longer exist, but I do have a theory thanks to the E-18.

E-18 Guerra-Hard: The E-18 (nicknamed the Guerra-Hard) is certainly a powerful machine... but it has a major flaw. Thanks to the massive power requirement, which is probably why the three previous models were deleted (as he most likely did so out of a mixture of annoyance and frustration), the E-18, under perfect circumstances, is meant to be powered by two Chaos Emeralds. Since the Doctor keeps losing the Chaos Emeralds, through no fault of his own, the E-18 has long since been abandoned.
- Possible Uses: Unless a new power source can be created that can serve as a replacement for the Chaos Emeralds, there's not much I can do with the E-18.
- Eggman's Requests: If I can solve the power issue, there are quite a few requests for a "boss machine" that the E-18 could fulfill.

E-19, E-20: "E-19 got jealous and ate E-20. I have now deleted their blueprints to free up space and rid myself of their idiotic A.I." - Eggman

E-21 Ballios: ... Hmm. For some reason, one day Eggman decided to create a Badnik focused on using baseballs to fight. While it can hit these tiny things with enough force to kill the average human, they will, at most, just bruise a Mobian. They can also detach their heads and have them fly away. I don't know why they have that feature, but I'm sure the Doctor has a good reason for giving them it.
- Possible Uses: While they can be used against GUN forces, I see little use trying to make them a true threat to Sonic and his friends.
- Eggman's Requests: Eggman does want a TV Empire, and people love watching sports. It would be quite easy to use the E-21s to make an Eggman-controlled baseball team to wow the masses.

E-22: "E-22 keeps exploding. I have no idea why. Deleted."

E-23 Missile Wrist: The E-23 (Missile Wrist) is a heavily armored Badnik armed with, despite its name, two explosives that are connected to E-23 with durable cords that allow it to either toss them at an enemy or use them as makeshift grappling hooks. Its armor is also thick enough that it can easily shrug off rifle rounds from basic GUN ground forces.
- Possible Use: While ALPHA already fills E-23's role, being a deadly and hard to destroy Badnik, nothing is preventing me from creating another hard to destroy member of the E-Series.
- Eggman's Request: While not its main focus, the E-23 can submerge itself under the water with little issue. By retrofitting itself, I can make it so E-23 is an anti-ship Badnik, capable of attacking ships without them ever realizing that it was there in the first place.

E-24 through E-32: "For some reason, E-32 deleted the files on every E-Series member created after E-23 for... no apparent reason. Well, I guess I'm going to start working on E-33 early." - Eggman.

E-33 Budball: Obsolete. This model was replaced by the, very similar, E-44.

E-34: As there are many more missing model numbers in the pre-E-100-Series, I will simply refrain from mentioning any more absences.

E-35 Funfun: The E-35 (Funfun) is another strange creation, as it's basically a giant dying fan with a bird head attached to the top of it. Its primary "weapon" is a massive fan that's strong enough to blow anyone in its path away from it.
- Possible Use: While E-35 could help defend a singular base by simply standing in an important hallway or doorway, it will need a massive amount of upgrades to make it actually viable in combat. In fact, it would probably be better to scrap what remains of it and utilize its parts for other projects.
- Eggman's Requests: While Eggman is requesting a powerful flying Badnik... I do not think that, at the current moment, E-35 could serve the role.

E-38 Octoron: The E-38 (Octoron) is the first member of the E-Series meant to be deployed under the water for a majority of its assignments. While lacking any ranged weapons, each of its tentacles is strong enough to, theoretically, keep a hold of a struggling Mobian long enough to drag them under the water and drown them. The E-38 is also, theoretically, capable of capsizing smaller capital ships and dragging away the crew of enemy ships.
- Possible Roles: As Eggman himself has noted, GUN's naval assets performed far better than he could have imagined. By returning E-38 to service, any future confrontation with those enemy naval assets could be turned to favor Eggman.
- Eggman's Requests: As the E-38 is already any aquatic design, it could easily serve as a robotic escort for a future naval fleet.

E-39 Quizon: The E-39s (Quizons) are meant to be non-combatant builders and engineers, able to build up new bases with great speed and efficiency. Yet, the E-39s also come with a special "surprise", as a large enough group of them can combine into the E-39 Serpenter. It may not be the strongest member of the E-Series, it does offer the Quizons a way to defend themselves against any enemies that try to disrupt their attempts at building new facilities.
- Possible Roles: The Quizons should focus on completing their primary purpose, building things. But, at least a small amount of them should be reassigned to serve as Serpenter units to help defender their weaker "siblings".
- Eggman's Requests: The E-39 line could both serve as the new construction crew for the Ocean Oil Zone, as well as the Boss of the Zone thanks to the Serpenter.

E-42 Torole: The E-42 (Torole) are meant to be massive demolition machines, capable of demolishing an entire city on their own. But, as they lack any weapons other than their hulking size and wrecking ball, enemies can easily take them down if they have the proper powers or equipment.
- Possible Roles: As stated just a short bit ago, the E-42s lack any true weapons, so they would best be used as modern-day siege engines, deployed to destroy enemy bases while escorted by smaller Badniks like Egg Pawns to help fend off attacks on them.

E-43 Falcon: The E-43s (Falcon) are small, fast attack drones meant to chase after a target while peppering them with bullets. They're not particularly strong or dangerous by any means, but they can easily harass enemy soldiers and transports.
- Possible Roles: While the Interceptors serve the same basic role as the E-43s, having a second fighter model available for the Egg fleet to use would certainly make any future aerial battles easier.

E-44: The E-44 is probably the most basic design in the early E-Series. It's simply a "floating ball" with a single laser. They are meant to be used in massive groups, with the large number of lasers available to them able to, against non-Mobians, rip apart most enemies they encounter.
- Possible Roles: As the E-44s can float around, they could possibly be used to defend the Aerial Egg Fleet or the future Naval Egg Fleet. Then again, since they are useless against foes as fast as Sonic, who is the largest threat to Eggman at the moment, it may be wise to instead spend my current resources on other projects.

E-45 Sumo-Man: The E-45 (Sumo-Man) is a very... strange creation. Similar to ALPHA's original A.I., E-45 has an A.I. that's full of glitches. It desires to fight, yet when there are no enemies around it will either engage other Badniks in combat or attempt to destroy itself.
- Possible Roles: While Eggman seems to love having multiple Badniks to fill a single role, in this case strong and durable Badniks that can tussle with Sonic, there's little point in reactivating E-45 anytime soon. Especially with that annoying A.I. it has.

E-47 Pumpty: The E-47 (Pumpty) is a large, hollow Badnik designed to capture enemies and carry them away, using its many guns and rockets to defend itself against any who try to free those it captured.
- Possible Roles: Thanks to its massive amount of weapons, it could, theoretically, serve as a fire support Badnik. But, thanks to the other designs I can alter and upgrade, at the present moment I currently see no reason to alter its original role as a moving prison.
- Eggman's Request: As E-47 is meant to carry around a large amount of captives, it would be easy to reprogram it to focus on capturing animals that the Doctor can use to create new Badniks.

E-51 Intelligente: E-51 (Intellegente) was an attempt by Eggman to create a robot that could teach his less intelligent Badniks and make them far less idiotic. But, thanks to an error in his programming, E-51 believed itself superior to Eggman and tried to make the Badniks assigned to learn under it obey it instead of the Doctor.
- Possible Roles: None. Its lack of weapons and self-serving nature makes it a bad fit to serve Eggman. The only reason why I would need to reactive it is if the Egg Pawns keep on destroying each other with their newfound intelligence.

E-57 Clurken: The E-57s (Clurken) are jellyfish-inspired Badnik with powerful tentacles which can only be used to slash at enemies, but can shoot out torpedoes. They're quite simple in design and purpose, so there's few ways I can describe the E-57 line.
- Possible Roles: Thanks to the torpedoes it can fire, it can easily serve as an anti-sub and anti-ship Badnik.
- Eggman's Requests: With no modifications, the E-57s could easily enter mass production to help defend the Naval Egg Fleet whenever it is finally finished.

E-65 Gorru-Gaooh: The E-65 (Gorru-Gaooh) is a gorilla-based Badnik that can use its raw strength to smash apart anything it comes across. It also comes with room for two passengers inside of it, letting it deploy two additional Badniks in case it encounters in trouble.
- Possible Roles: While the passenger seats are a bit unnecessary, as any Badniks that could fit inside of E-65 would be far too weak to actually make much of a difference during a fight. Still, without or without the two Badniks stored inside of it, E-65 could be a useful heavy hitter during a battle.

E-66 Da-Dai-Oh: The E-66 (Da-Dai-Oh) is certainly a powerful machine... even if it's riddled with design problems. Thanks to how heavy it is, it requires thrusters to quickly move around. It also only has two massive flails on the ends of its hands, meaning it has little defense against enemies that use ranged attacks.
- Possible Roles: As E-66 has room for Eggman to sit inside and watch a battle unfold, it may please him if I upgrade the E-66 so he can personally smash Sonic apart. And, if he prefers to simply keep his classic Egg Mobile, E-66 can be used as the boss of any Zone that Eggman controls.

E-70 Nozi: E-70 (Nozi) is meant to guard a single object or room and, when encountering an intruder, makes a large noise to both disorient its targets and alter all nearby Badniks.
- Possible Roles: While its speaker can make enough noise to "stun" an enemy, it lacks any real weapons beyond its raw strength to take out an opponent, and relies on other Badniks to capture any intruders it detects. Thanks to the lack of complex internal parts, it would be possible to mass-produce the E-70 so each base and airship has at least a few guarding them.
- Eggman's Requests: Big the Cat proved to be a bigger annoyance than was expected. E-70 may not be able to physically tangle with Big, its speaker could be strong enough to damage his feline ears.

E-77 Egg Babylon: The E-77 (Egg Babylon) seems to be an unfinished and enlarged version of the older Red Eye sentry. In its completed state, it meant to have two large spike platforms to smash Sonic and a massive laser cannon to shoot any annoying Hedgehogs.
- Possible Roles: It would be cheaper to simply begin upgrading the Red Eye instead of the E-77. But, the Doctor does want a few "Bosses", so finishing it would be an easy way to fulfill one of these requests.

E-74 Weazo: The E-74 (Weazo) is certainly an ambitious machine, meant to be able to chase after Sonic without losing him and with enough strength to toss around Knucks with its tail, while using its flamethrower to set anyone who got too close on fire. Yet, it's probably thanks to this that it never saw the light of day, as the amount of time required to fully finish it was great enough that Eggman eventually turned his gaze to less costly and quicker to make designs.
- Possible Role: Finishing E-74 may please the Doctor and, even with only one main weapon besides its tail and hands, it would fulfill one of his many requests for a "Boss" robot. Though, I could always keep it under my control and send it off to fight alongside Alpha and Silver Sonic.

E-77 Lucky: E-77 (Lucky) is an odd thing. It was an attempt to harness the "power" of luck itself, ensuring that E-77 would always survive and complete its mission. But, thanks to the Doctor focusing on creating the "perfect way to alter probability", E-77 was never actually programmed with any aggression, meaning that it will never initiate combat and will rarely fight back unless it's forced to.
- Possible Roles: I... am not sure if any of the things strapped onto E-77 do anything. Is it even possible to alter probability with random objects?

E-88 Lighting Bird: E-88 (Lighting Bird) is certainly one of the most powerful flying members of the E-Series, capable of shooting a laser out of its mouth, launching an electrified net out of its chest, capable of moving far faster than a normal human pilot, and can take a lot of damage before finally being destroyed.
- Possible Roles: Similar to E-11 and E-43, E-88 could serve as a good defender for the Egg Carrier and its escorts. And, thanks to its electrified net, it can also capture any enemies that try to board the Egg Carrier.

E-90 Super Sweeper: The E-90 (Super Sweeper) is the only member of the E-Series that can leave the atmosphere, as it's meant to use its rockets to blow up GUN satellites and replace them with its own. Though, as it's not meant to engage in a prolonged firefight, it only has its limited supply of missiles to defend itself.
- Possible Roles: While the E-90 would have few defenses, it would make it easier for the Doctor to move around as, without spy satellites, GUN will have a much harder time keeping track of him. Plus, it would allow Eggman to set up his own satellites that can broadcast Eggman TV to the masses.

E-91 Lady Ninja: E-91 (Lady Ninja) was created to sneak into places that could be housing a Chaos Emerald, or any other important object that Eggman needs, and steal it. As she's meant to get into somewhere undetected, she lacks any built-in weapons that could weigh her down, and instead she has to rely on her raw strength and skill at disguising herself to complete her missions.
- Possible Roles: I currently see no reason to alter E-91's original purpose. While she, like all other pre-Alpha members of the E-Series, will require quite a few upgrades to bring them to the modern standards of the Eggman Army, I doubt I'll ever send her to fight alongside Alpha and Silver Sonic on the "front lines".

E-99 Eggsterminator: The E-99 (Eggsterminator), much like the Egg Fort II that's meant to be its "base form", has never left the design phase. The E-99 not only requires six of the Chaos Emeralds to fully function, Eggman hasn't even begun to finish the original Egg Fort yet thanks to him switching his priorities to E-100 Alpha and the next few members of the E-100 Series.
- Possible Roles: As the power generated by six of the Chaos Emeralds is so great, there is little to no chance to create an alternate power source that could fully power it. The best I could do would be to build the Egg Fort II and then create something that could allow it to function at half of its full potential.

====================================

So, yeah. This took so long. Uggghhhh. And, while I still am unsure if @undead frog will count the Sonic X version of the E-Series as being canon to this quest, or at least their designs without any actual models of them being built... I actually kinda enjoyed writing this. So, even if this is declared non-canon, meh. Especially since I may make more of these later.

... Also, yes, I accidentally got the names switched around earlier and E-88 is called Lighting bird, and its E-43 that's called Falcon.

pumpty has given me ideas.
what do people think about building a floating jellyfish badnick (probably using whatever tech we get from researching the chaos flight, or maybe just the hover jet we have for the e series) that has a capsule for storing captured animals inside it's main body, and each of it's tentacles has a non-lethal cryo weapon and a claw on it. these things would just fly around catching animals to be used in badnicks since I'm pretty sure the e-series still require them.
