[ ] "...in days long gone, the Greeks of old believed that love came in four forms. The first, that many are fortunate to be born into is that shared between family, storge, I believe they called it, and greatly enhanced by the shared values between them [family]. The second, is one we forge throughout our lives and oftentimes had the potential to be named the 'strongest form of love'; as Frenchmen, we know this one best, for this the rallying cry of Revolution, philia. The third, that which is best known to us in the passions of our youths, and that which I suspect you are only just beginning to be acquainted with, is eros, the passionate love that comes in many a form, from the flames of lust that blind even the best of us from certain truths to the passions that help create the generations that follow. The fourth, that which we all strive for, is agape, the highest form of charity that is unconditional love of those of good conscience and faith unfeigned, that which builds a moral society and the foundation of all civilizations. You are a young man yet still, many a decade of experiences ahead of you, and that the fact of the matter is that asking these questions now shows to me a wisdom that escapes many of your peers; as consequence, I shared with you a sliver of wisdom of those who've come before, not of a desire to plot a course for what you should do but help you survey a path you choose, wherever that leads you. Louis, whatever that choice is and even if I should never come to know why, understand that I trust you, that I believe you are partaking in the Human experience. Whether you choose cherish the love between friends, lovers or even the distant dream of a future family, understand I am by your side, as I have always been since you have entered my life, my family."
