Category 7.0 Earthquake in Haiti
On January 12th, a category 7.0 earthquake, originating from near the town Leogane, approximately 25 kilometers away from Haiti's Capital. By the 24nd of January, at least 52 aftershocks measuring 4.5 or greater were recorded. While accurate numbers are not yet available, death toll estimates range from 100,000 to about 160,000. The nation's troubled history with debt and foreign intervention contributed to the existing poverty and poor housing conditions that increased the death toll from the disaster. As the UNSC currently has not fully organised its own logistics, it cannot divert assets to help directly, but can very well provide a certain amount if its funding as a credit backed by the UN. The establishment of an international relief fund for Haiti under the stewardship of the UNDC allowed us to step into a leadership role in the immediate disaster relief effort. A single authority coordinating the response from neighboring nations and NGOs ensure a much smoother start than what could otherwise be expected

Werewolf Dissection
"This is Doctor Bernard, it is 12 pm and I am tired, but I will finish this report before I finish for today. The subject is male, around 20ish, but with the regenerative properties shown by the subject giving an exact age is difficult. The subject has been excessively damaged. I had to remove over 200 bullets and pieces of shrapnel during my examination. Were it not for the video evidence I would have called such violence cruel, but the subject was able to fight even after a direct hit with a fragmentation grenade. The wounds have shown signs of healing, but all cellular activity ceased two hours after death. The regenerative factor is remarkable, there are signs of heavy bone fractures and even teeth having regenerated. In terms of the subject's origin, I can only call upon the report by Doctor Libert. The subject's DNA has markers not found in any known ethnicity on earth and yet the subject is undoubtedly human, genetically at least. That and the piece of jewelry recovered with the body, specifically the gold coating containing mercury, leads me to the conclusion it is likely the subject is not from our earth, but perhaps a side dimension...I don't know and it was a long day. Doctor Bernard, signing off."
Headquarter Construction 189/100
Sokolov was only mildly surprised when Director Nobuo said he wanted the Civilian headquarters to be in Tokyo, when the topic was brought up. The biggest hurdle was finding enough people to relinquish the right amount of building area in the right places, but after moving billions of Yen, and some strong words from the Japanese government, construction could begin. The first stage of the headquarters now stands complete, slower than expected but still within acceptable delays. A massive, walled off complex in the middle of the city, it is a gaping hole in Tokyo's skyline, with the central building half constructed in the middle, skeletal and imposing, planned to be twice as high as the tallest local building, with an equally massive concrete foundation supporting it. While the central building remains incomplete, administrative and bureaucratic staff has already been moved to the auxiliary buildings around the complex.
Supply Stockpile Review (Fuel: 65, Ammo: 25)
The state of the fuel and ammunition depots at the bases around the world was as expected, after doing inventory, the administrative staff with the support of the newly established statistical division estimate that current reserves could extend operations for up to one and a half years in the case of fuel and half a year for ammunition, should supply break down for one reason or another.
Digitize the Administration 263/250
Originally expected to take at least one more Quarter, the digitization has been finished ahead of schedule with hiring of specialists, acquisition of hardware, scanning and securing of files and retraining of staff happening all smoothly in parallel. With the systems up and running the inter-organisational e-mail and tracking system have already sped up the administrative process, enabling more work being done in the same amount of time.
Establish Internal Security Division 133/200
Establishment of an UNDC Internal Security Division has run into some problems, the most notable being the establishment of a majority digital administration system that brings its own set of security challenges. The other problem is the hiring process itself, with sponsor nations being slower than ideal to provide ideal candidates.
Review Ground Forces 58
The state of the ground forces provided could be better, but it also could be worse. Overall General Merin is satisfied and is already making plans to move some troops around and do some exercises. Aside from the remains of the Middle East Taskforce, the troops are only lightly equipped, mostly drawn from Reservists, having few APCs and MBTs to support the aging and understrength forces still fighting on the peninsula. It will require some serious investment to equip this oversized security force up to the standard of a modern military.
Establish Statistical Planning Division 152/150
After some hiring hiccups with the lack of local English speakers of an advanced level, the establishment of the planning division has completed barely on schedule. Using predictive computer programs, statistical methods and good old guessing this division should help with the build up of a proper UNDC logistical system.
