There is no emotion... (A Jedi Order Quest)

Councilor Arre Druz'dun
Shouldn't they be on the list of the Members Of the Jedi Council in Status of the Order page?
Why, you may ask? Oh nothing much, just an Uncontacted Sith World. They haven't shot at us yet, but then they didn't start blasting at the Daragons to start with either, now did they?
Oh shit.
Good news: We've found signs of a former camp that Revan set up on his long journey to the Outer Rim. Bad news: it's filled with killer droids, most of them old Mandalorian style.

How do we deal with that?
Ask nicely?
He did not like us "poking around" and decided to overreact. How unfortunate for him that Mira's got that rocket launcher of hers and and enough Mind Tricks to visit the Revan's throne room unnoticed.
Hah!
You will be shocked to discover the Sith attacked us when we landed. I made the natural, if cowardly, decision to leave. I leave making friendlier contact in wiser hands.
-Failure-
Well, at least no one died.
There is a reason the Mandalorians placed these droids here: while armed to the teeth and not, per-se, pacifists, these droids have no great desire to kill; they want, instead, to be free, having named each other brother, and loved each other, and kept all their resources in common. Revan asked them to guard a holocron, and they have proven up to the task.
Huh, it actually worked. This is nice.
We found them. Chained, emaciated, dirty and imprisoned, to serve the whims of their corporate masters, looking to make a quick credit and ignorant and uncaring of the potential war they almost caused. Xoona Corp. is likely to be restructured into a Co-Op under the workers, doing what was legitimate behavior, while the Board of Directors spends the next few decades in "temporary" Gara company while the argument shifts to who has the most right to take their pound of flesh.

The Force Sensitives should trickle to the order over the next few decades.
(+25 PP)
Good, they got taken down.
On a different note, we have also received an invitation...
Interesting.

Mission 3 (The Outer Rim, Councilor Atton Rand, 3 Jedi Consulars, 3 Jedi Sentinels, 5 Padawans)
-Councilor Atton Rand-

You will be shocked to discover the Sith attacked us when we landed. I made the natural, if cowardly, decision to leave. I leave making friendlier contact in wiser hands.
-Failure-
Okay Its an uncontacted Sith World. Lets not freak out yet, we need more information about the situation on the ground. As for the group being attacked. They probably approached and landed without first getting permission somehow, and the Sith thought they were defending themselves. or maybe they did and the Sith did what Sith do. Again we need more information before we start asking for things like Orbital bombardment or things like that. I prefer to get all the information about a situation on the ground as possible before going to extremes so we need to get as much information as possible as fast as we can for later decision making. but either way when the time comes for another contact attempt if there is one. We might need to keep jedi from attending or sending a representative to said meeting depending on the circumstances.

One of these days a protag is gonna make untoward assumptions about a Sith species member and is gonna feel really bad about it real quick. :V

Mission Report 3943 BBY Q4
Mission Reports 3943 Q4

Mission 1 (The Core, Councilor Mira, 1 Jedi Consular, 1 Jedi Sentinel, 1 Jedi Guardian, 4 Padawans)

-Councilor Mira-

Meet the new job, same as the old job: son of some hutt has tried to smuggle himself as well as his entourage out from hutt space, and the other hutts really don't like that. So much they've sent bounty hunters after him; and he won't trust Jedi or the Republic, so he's fled into the Lower Levels of Coruscant.

I can only wonder what he did to piss them off that bad, but either way, murder isn't legal in Republic jurisdiction.

Mission 2 (The Mid-Rim, Councilor Bastila Shan, Consular Atris, 2 Jedi Sentinels, 3 Jedi Guardians, 6 Padawans)
Consular Atris

A distress call, on a Mandalorian frequency. The Besk'ga'lor is about to be devoured by a black hole, and only our Andrados are tough enough to do the thing and fast enough to get there before all hundred hands die from radiation, if nothing else.

Mission 3 (The Outer Rim, Councilor Atton Rand, 3 Jedi Consulars, 3 Jedi Sentinels, 5 Padawans)
Knight Gayel

We were examining a local asteroid field for habitable positions with some of the Vong when Master Rand froze up and could not move, nor speak, nor react. Something is happening, and I don't know what, but it can't be good.

We have him in the medical bay of the Century Hippogryph waiting for examination in case it turns out to be medical; the Consulars are trying to contact him with the force and the Sentinels are examining his prosthetics in case the problem is there.

Mission 4 (The Colonies, Councilor Visas Marr, 4 Jedi Sentinels, 4 Padawans)
-Councilor Visas Marr-

The slavers are on the retreat everywhere. An echo, not a scream-- we cannot be everywhere at once but oppressed peoples throughout the galaxy and the colonies have begun rising up. Planetary legislation has been passed. The Jedi are back, and we are active and the slavers know this and fear. We must use that as we can, striking and fanning the hope of the oppressed and the fear of the oppressor. It is is known that a band of slavers in the Abreddegan Asteroid Field plays a minor but crucial role feeding the slave trade that feeds Coruscant.

To that end I have requisitioned a Battalion of Wookiee militia.

The senator of Kashyyyk is very interested to learn what became of the citizens that Czerka kidnapped before their dissolution; if they aren't here, well. It is still slavers...

Mission 5 (The Expansion Region, Grandmaster Bao-Dur, 4 Jedi Guardians, 2 Jedi Consulars, 2 Jedi Sentinels, 6 Padawans )
Grandmaster Bao-Dur

We have received unknown transmissions ranging from 30-40 MGZ. They are too coherent to be natural phenomena.

Naturally, we will investigate.

Mission 1 (The Core, Councilor Mira, 1 Jedi Consular, 1 Jedi Sentinel, 1 Jedi Guardian, 4 Padawans)
-Councilor Mira-

Well, we've picked up on his trail: turns out hiding a giant slug is kind of hard even on Coruscant, particularly since he left Cred-Chit trails all over his route. The good news is he seems to be one step ahead of the Hunters; bad news is, one step is still in range of blaster rifles.

Mission 2 (The Mid-Rim, Councilor Bastila Shan, Consular Atris, 2 Jedi Sentinels, 3 Jedi Guardians, 6 Padawans)
Consular Atris

We have arrived in system. We have sent messages to inform the Besk'ga'lor we have arrived.

Mission 3 (The Outer Rim, Councilor Atton Rand, 3 Jedi Consulars, 3 Jedi Sentinels, 5 Padawans)
Knight Gayel

Master Rand has hijacked the ship, and we are currently making a hyperspace jump to the homeworld of those uncontacted Sith.

I feel I should clarify here and say that they are of the Sith species, but perhaps not related to the Order; although that leaves us with the very good question of "why did they shoot at us then?"

Mission 4 (The Colonies, Councilor Visas Marr, 4 Jedi Sentinels, 4 Padawans)
-Councilor Visas Marr-

We have local space superiority and have begun slowly taking over the entrenched facilities. The slavers have adequate defenses considering this is a rat's nest and not a fortress, but nobody wakes up expecting Wookiee space marines.

Mission 5 (The Expansion Region, Grandmaster Bao-Dur, 4 Jedi Guardians, 2 Jedi Consulars, 2 Jedi Sentinels, 6 Padawans )
Grandmaster Bao-Dur

We have arrived at a planet unknown to us. The local inhabitants are sapient, and less advanced-- though Hyperdrive capable-- than the Galactic average. They are of...I know the technical term, but bluntly the best term I can arrive at is "draconic," with six legs, four wings, and four limbs, topped by a long, fanged head.

More importantly they have noticed us and sent invitations. Those transmissions were centuries old, and their technological prowess has increased to a hacked together access to our commlinks.

Mission 1 (The Core, Councilor Mira, 1 Jedi Consular, 1 Jedi Sentinel, 1 Jedi Guardian, 4 Padawans)
-Councilor Mira-

We found him, and using an ion burst from a local power terminal managed to short everybody's weapons except for our lightsabers. At that point, they decided to flee like the womp rats they are.

We have secured Obroga and are placing him in contact with the Supreme Chancellor's Office.

(CLASSIFIED: Obroga was involved in various anti-Cartel activities. He could only deal with the slavery, the greed and the ignorance for so long before he started to work against it. After his parents discovered it, they had a bounty placed on his head and he fled with the rebel cell, arriving here)

We have arrived, and now at least one question has been answered: Pirates from the Galactic Main have arrived and been raiding these people. We arrived at just the right time to frighten them off, and now are being invited to the planet's surface.

Mission 4 (The Colonies, Councilor Visas Marr, 4 Jedi Sentinels, 4 Padawans)

They are a wise, gregarious people and have extended warmest welcome to the Jedi; for they are all, to a greater or lesser extent, Force Sensitive, using it to fly.
(Make contact with the Drakion)

Mission 6 (Councilor Juhani, Councilor Mical, 3 Sentinels, 1 Guardian, and 1 Consular)
Councilor Mical

Ahem. Sorry about that, ion grenades. The Hutts tried to spring a trap on the meeting, how being unknown to us.

As I said. We have made contact and met with the leader of the Syncretic Cults: Yuthura Ban. After the Rebellion on Nal Hutta was suppressed she fled with the survivors and, ever since, has been stirring up rebellion against the Hutts with what remained of that army.

It's an election year this year; the ruling party, A Free Galaxy, has had a strong majority for the past eight years, buoyed by victory over Czerka and the end of the Dark Wars, as well as the effective rebuilding of much of the destroyed infrastructure of the Republic, if far from all.

However, the Supreme Chancellor's Office has finally contact you about a matter that probably should at least have been discussed earlier: G0-T0. Apparently the drone you travelled with was not the only one to act up as it did. A Free Galaxy has been pushing, and hardly, to remove the droids from their current positions before a repeat of the Gordian Reach incident, if not worse, can happen. But in the Outer Rim, where the droids have very appreciably increased the pace of reconstruction, suggesting they should be removed is unlikely to play well with the voters.

As Free Galaxy's base is in the Rim, they are asking you to help support the initiative, materially that is, by helping design new infrastructure droids. It will link you to their politics, but then they have been surprisingly helpful to your Order, for how weak you are.

Options:
  • Recolonize Jedha (40 PP)
  • Build a Temple on Kaesarias (50 PP)
  • Establish facility in the Trax Mandate (50 PP)
  • Recolonize Taris Jedi Alcove (40 PP)
  • Send a Jedi with a Republic archeological expedition(15 PP)
  • Expand (Write-In facility) with Republic help. (10 PP) (May be taken multiple times)
  • Recruitment Drive-- Recruit 2d5 Initiates (30 PP)
  • Build academy on Socorro (45 PP)
  • Establish a Patrol Route in the Deep Core (Located near the Yuuzhan Vong Republic, this is the area where the borders touch. Keeping it safe and contained is a necessity.) (+10 PP)
  • Establish an Inner Rim Patrol Route (What would normally be one of the more quiet areas of the galaxy is, in actuality, positively swimming in pro-Sith sentiment, organized crime, and worse.) (+15 PP)
  • Request a Letter of Marque, authorizing the Jedi Order to own and operate military grade ships. (150 PP)
  • As the Republic's borders have expanded, it has found itself contacting new worlds, new life and new civilizations. To help keep the Republic free from more war, they have requested help training their ambassadors. While your consulars are decidedly more mystic than diplomat, they are still somewhat helpful in the matter. But if they do this, they cannot patrol. A balancing act, then? (+20 PP, at least 3 Consulars must be deployed training Republic Ambassadors through the year.)
  • Send an Emissary to the Drakion (50 PP)
  • Help the Republic with the new Infrastructure Droids (-20 PP at least, Bao-Dur cannot tell what will happen but it certainly can't be worse than if you do nothing and the Droids lose it)
  • Request Republic Aid Fortifying ([]Write-In, must be a world you have already colonized) (25 PP)
  • Look for potential locations for Satellite facilities (25 PP)

It like it, Its basic but it also lets us spread out further and that is something I think the order really needs, and we also might consider a recruitment drive as well.

Edit: Nevermind realized that there was not enough PP for the recruitment drive.

Final Cost: 270 PP

We just colonized Tojora, so before we claim next spot for our Order we should continue building and fortifying our current facilities (aside from Dantooine, which is almost fully finished and has been fortified previously) since we do have lot of PP to use. We should also establish one more new patrol route, since we've got new jedi while not overextending our still small order, and Inner Rim is not doing too hot right now, while Republic is doing good patrolling the border with the Vong. Emissary and recruiting extra initiates are just good general actions, since jedi are great negotiators and more initiates is good since we did just get more full fledged jedi.

Not sure if we want to tie our selves to politics with the infrastructure droids.
