I just think that Droids aren't all that great, even as a cost-cutting measure. The Clone Wars aptly proved that cheap mass-produced Battle-Droids are utterly useless if they need to do anything more complex then walking straight ahead and open fire. And the smarter, more effective Droids are usually very expensive.

[] Plan Slow and Steady Start with Effective Intrigue
-[] Rey Zritru - Aware of her own shortcomings and motivated by her own standing, she proposes a much larger use of droids within the army and navy to cut costs.
-[] Athaen Sen'neam - Proposing to act as a third party, she wishes for the Empire of the Hand to avoid major wars and focus on the slow accumulation of territory and power.
-[] Oldolor Vipik - A Muun that wishes to grow the Empire of the Hand's economy drastically, he seeks to maintain military spending and increase the capital that flows through companies and begin a massive infrastructure program.
-[] Cen Kam - A female Clawdite of immense professionalism, her ideas are expensive but valuable. Bringing with her high standards of professionality, she will ensure only information you wish to reveal will ever leave your grasp.
-[] Yewe Nairtuu - A Kaminoan with knowledge of cloning, she has a level of consistency that impresses even you. But the things you can do with clones would be incredible.
-[] Xuyul Kanuas - A wielder of both the light and dark side, there isn't a force technique in the galaxy that he doesn't know. His order would be immense in size and scope, and out of them all, he is undoubtedly the most experienced of the three. He comes with a Holocron of Darth Nox, as well as a Holocron of a Jedi Master that was lost to history.
-[] Eshu Tenrar - A former member of an assassin guild, she is extremely loyal to Thrawn, and would create an excellent force of bodyguards.

Same plan as Nicholas Brooks, but went for Cen as our Intrigue advisor instead of Philip. Yes, he is the most loyal option, but the fact that he's cautious and inexperienced means that we'll be weak when it comes to more offensive applications of Intrigue, and his inexperience also hampers our defensive Intrigue. Cen may not be as loyal as Philip, but she's more competent and only likely a little less loyal than Philip (she cares about her profesionalism, which means being better than average regarding loyalty, at least from my perspective, which I do admit could be wrong) at the cost of being more expensive.
I already made that plan in my original post under "edit 2"

It's not a stretch that if they become useful R&D could make droids that can bridge the gap in quality since they already have numbers and versatility.
If they bridge the gap then you give up the advantage they give which is numbers and cheapness. Because making them better massively increases the time to build and the cost.

I think the idea is that we improve production techniques alongside the effectiveness of the designs so there isn't a quantity loss, or at least not much in theory.

Either way, if we have both Zritru and Yewe we can get the quality we need from the Clones if higher quality droids aren't feasible.

The fact that the CIS were a bunch of megacorps meant they didn't design droids with effectiveness in mind but how cost-effective they would be yet they still managed to fight the clones for years.

Droids are still gonna be easier and cheaper rather than using live troops whether regular senteints or clones. Feeding, training, paying and in the case of clones ;growing them is gonna be much more expensive.

Better AI and aiming won't really be as expensive in the long term and less waste of life and resources.

Edit:Ninja'd.

Yeah basically what NB said.

Except they did in fact make effective droids. And they couldn't do large scale production of those models because it was too expensive and time consuming. And like you said these were mega corps as in the ones with all the money and infrastructure to do it. We have nowhere near that level of infrastructure or the resources to try.

Production techniques are already maxed out dude. They were built in less than a hour for the simple models. The more effective models were slow to make and far more expensive.

[X] Plan: Play to our strengths
-[X] Farryn Baidan - An extremely knowledgeable Echani in regards to military history, she wants a complete redesign of the Empire of the Hands military. Expensive, and lengthy, any such project will take a decade and leave your military in a weakened state. But eventually, it will be utterly terrifying to face.
-[X] Athaen Sen'neam - Proposing to act as a third party, she wishes for the Empire of the Hand to avoid major wars and focus on the slow accumulation of territory and power.

-[X] Jack - A Blazing Chains wielder with experience in using the force as part of an army, he does understand how to integrate them with command structures. Additionally, his encounter with the Far Outsiders does present an opportunity to gain insight into their methodology. His order would be focused entirely on warfare and would use the light side.
-[X] Eshu Tenrar - A former member of an assassin guild, she is extremely loyal to Thrawn, and would create an excellent force of bodyguards.
Reasoning:
Farryn plays well to Thrawn's strengths for creating imaginative tactics and strategies.
Athaen will help us with a steady growth rate and remain below the radar where the rest of the galaxy is concerned.
Cen helps with information security, and I like the idea of having a professional working for us.
Yewe - Consistent progress, with a great cloning specialization.
Jack - I like the idea of him helping teach our troops how to counter enemy force users, and his military focus plays well with Thrawn's strengths. I don't see the need, nor have any real desire, to create a competiting Jedi or Sith Order.
Eshu - Keep Thrawn alive, and hopefully avoid a repeat of the Rukh situation.

There is no "maxed out" because technology isn't static. What once took a day might be reduced to thirty minutes eventually.

Yes but with how star wars tech progression works it would take decades if not a century or two to get to that point.

Edit: Plus there is still a big stigma associated with fully droid militaries because of all the propaganda the Empire did, hell the Alliance could've used them to improve their manpower situation but they didn't because of the PR disaster that would cause. Especially since the Clone Wars are still within living memory for a lot of people.

Except that is the case here dude. Star Wars has hit a point where the technology of the Galaxy is at a matured state. As in improvements are far a few between. Also the droid user isn't in any way adding to the infrastructure needed to do it either. The next level of it is literally the World Devastators. So unless you think we are going to get, find, steal, or develop that tech from scratch on less than a decade there is no better way to make the droids than what already exists.

Now for a plan built around playing what we already have and supporting a major upgrade. We need the best Navy but this is going to take time, money, and effort so we need to take options that will provide for that. Farryn Baidan gives us the most lethal navy out of all of them.

If we are to support this navy then we need to expand our territory and since conquest is not the first option then aggressive diplomacy is the next best thing. We need to lobby to get systems to join us and a passive or isolationist path will not work here.

The Muun is key to expansion because we need the better infrastructure to support the new model Navy we are building. And it serves as one of the many benefits that we can use in diplomacy.

Right now keep ourselves safe more important than anything else. So having an intelligence agency that can control the flow of information in and out of our territory will give us the initiative when dealing with others.

Now like I said we need to focus on making the new Navy and as such we need to improve infrastructure and the economy. To do that means focusing down on it. Like the businesswoman said we are far too small and underdeveloped to be able to match the research of the other powers so it is better to build that up at first. And that get the research when we can from others. Also by having Sienar we can further develop our own fighters. Getting custom TIE like the Avengers, Defenders, Hunters, Blastboats, and Interceptors will make it easier to use our limited research to make newer better fighters for the Navy. The Interceptor alone is a massive upgrade just add a shield and a warhead launchers and we have the new mainline fighter for the EoH if we don't have the other ones already.

For the force user it was either war fighting or flexibility that were the choices. While force users are good I don't think we should rely on them for fighting the Vong as normal conventional means can stop them if the leaders are smart and aren't wasting time like the NR did and let the Vong get a foothold and recover from the trip through the void.

Thrawn is the most important thing in the new Empire and needs to be protected. That means getting the best for it and the ability to kill off threats with assassins is very good.

@Daemon Hunter why is the TIE Interceptor cost 120? Canon has that price but it doesn't fit with the actual update it is the legends cost of 75 fits so much better. Unless these Interceptors are the ones equipped with shields, warhead launchers, hyperdrives, and more generators to power all three upgrades without impacting performance.
