Correct.

Also correct.

We are not rolling until after the vote is called.

But yes.

Alright cool. Asking because she is getting pretty popular, has a army and has a few friends around. Like didn't we join this Woman's club or something? Can't remember exactly what it was about and how much influence they had. Like could these women influence their husbands and families?

Edit: Heck didn't Therese make this club more popular and noticed from just joining?

No, we met a woman club and will have actions in the future involving them if we choose to remain in Paris and not march out on the campaign.

As for influence, that actually depends on what you do.

Do you obay Robespierre's orders and continue onto Egypt, which gains him legitimacy as France's greatest hero next to Napoleon is doing what he orders.

Or follow Napoleon, loved by the troops, hated by the government and possibly about to marry her?

Even going on campaign to Russia might make people question if you don't care about France and just like war, killing and etching your name in history.

Things like that.

Also… is it wrong that I'm excited for what is to come.

Like quaking in my boots levels of excited.

I know there's a bunch of stuff going on this is equally applicable to, but:

Don't threaten me with a good time.:ogles:
I mean, Robe is popular enough in France where Executing him would be a big no-no, not without a really damn good reason like him consorting with the British to secure power, his supporters or at very least people whom he knows might try to allow him to be exiled, possibly to America or Canada, the British might want to... make a deal with the French to not pay any more money... by taking care of a problem.

If Robe wins, there are a bunch of ways this can go, like you going to America, or Haiti, and being tied to fate itself.

Or, you get a timeskip.

Speaking of Rob getting control of the government:
Put my +20 on Napoleon's roll to get backers. If possible I would like broad-spectrum support, but let me know if I have to pick a person or demographic to bolster.
Not possible as Nappy already has a +20 to his rolls for the army, you are not in France.

and you guys are not allowed to affect the rumor mill with your own omake rewards.

I mean Louis or Charlotte mention that they are part of the army that was supposed to bring Egypt into the fold of a Catholic (maybe not totally Catholic but you get the point) regime then that could really stick it to the Pope.

Even better. Hint that Egypt was NOT the ultimate goal of the army (that's the official truth, after all) and then make a reference to Louis sainted namesake and ancestor (Louis IX of France, aka Saint Louis. Led a Crusade which planned to take back the Holy Land by going to Egypt first - died there-). See the most reactionary faction in the Church disparaging the Pope for excommunicating a French Revolutionary Army (... Priceless)...

But if we really want to do this right, we should go all in and not split the army. Make it look all proper and united on one front.

The vote is still open after all.

-[X]Chamans will be Reassigned under your Direct command, and the Reserves with them: You will take direct command of his forces.
-[X]Keep them Here: As much as you hate to say it, Louis is safest here, in the Army.
-[X]Time for a talk: You will split your army in 2. You will take Kleber, his corps, and the Reserve with you back to France, you need to have a nice long day chatting with The new First Consul, and make sure he is in the clear about how things are. Davout is going to lead the trip to Rome to have a talk with the Pope, he will take Dumas as reinforcement as a precaution. Louis and Charlotte will be under the care of Berthier and go with them. They have explicit orders of doing so in the most peaceful way possible, try to not take lives in the sacred city, and reign the anger when they depose the pope and reverse the ex-communication, afterward they will reunite with the rest of the army be it in the Rhine, be it in Paris.

-[X]Go Home: You are going to need to spend a nice long day chatting with The new First Consul. Something feels… wrong. Very Wrong.
-[X]War of Souls: As long as Louis and Isabelle are willing, make very public announcements about their participation in the army, awarding distinctions upon Louis for his heroic contribution to the battle, and all three publicly converting to Protestantism, denouncing the Pope and Rome as corrupted by secular power, ally of royalty and enemy of the republic. Make sure to, on our way to Paris, send couriers with the best pamphlets you can compose to as many cities as you can, if possible to contacts of yours or your staff that you think will be distribute them even wider. The intent being to publicly establish that Louis Capet has broken with the Catholic church, protecting him from Royalist accusations, and bolster your popularit as defender of the republic against all enemies even if it is the Catholic Church.

Quick question:

You all want to be the ones who do the rolls for the government and whose loyal to Nappy?

I'd personally am scared because I do not have good luck with the dice, but if someone is interested in it I am not opposed to the idea.

I've got 30, 45 minutes. Sure. What am I rolling?
Every single marshal of France (save ponataski) to start with and all of them save Jourdan have a +20 to those rolls due to Nappys influence.

Desaix, leclerc, and other generals of this period are optional because I am prepared to do those rolls myself.

Civilian government officials in the senate are also optional for you all as I'm still complying a list of them but they have a -20 due to Robes influence.
