The French people will see another Glorious victory for the Republic, with one of it's heroes leading the charge.

Napoleon is very turned on by our conquest, and frankly, if it were not for his governmental duties and Brian being the responsible one, he would have jumped ship, go to the army, and straight-up propose on the spot.
Then stealing our command, glory and otherwise making us a subordinate to his Alexander Ambitiouns while we try to rain him in.
Max, in addition to being impressed, is very terrified that the State is going to just drop the Senate and become a Military Junta, and is doing everything in his power, to not only curb Nappy's grasping at power, along with trying to remove Both men from power and try to restore his consistution.
Basically, political Chaos is the name of the Day, and Brian, despite being absolutely terrible at politics, is trying to stop both men from conslidating political power, and has at very least, cooled head and is working on...
Well Brian has several very "GOOD" ideas that he wants to impliment.
Things like education reform, infrastructure projects, and alliances with Russia and Prussia to secure interests in Europe.
And maybe reinstituting slavery to prevent a civil war.
Along with trying to be there for his wife, and soon-to-be-born child.
That will come soon, in the Life of Brian.

Max you aren't the most popular dude. Kinda hurts you are also trigger happy without an army. Which Brian and Napoleon do have.
Some good ideas from Brian and some....questionable ideas like slavery. Kinda going against equality there.

Yeah, I can't help but wonder if it's just indentured servitude that is actually being proposed, because outright slavery doesn't seem like something that Brian would put up with once abolished, realpolitik be damned.

Davout is the Iron Marshel, he has no time for any political shit, he's got wars to win.
I mean, he has the Senate on his side... some of them anyway, who think that two military officers who came in via a soldiers coup is not republican at all.
Forgetting the fact that they were both elected after the coup... though the fact they also did not resign their commissions are big red flags.
Considering Brian has few allies he can trust, and might be making deals with the devil just to make sure he isn't killed?
He might have play realpolitik to just survive.
He also might do it to save his own skin for a moment, win political victories then betray his so-called allies than just do everything he set out to do.

People always forget something that would go against what they want.
Yeah. He probably hates it but might be thinking he needs to do it. For himself and to help keep the government going. Helps that it gets him more support.

One thing that I think can improve the quest is the inclusion of the unique features of the times. I'd like to hear some renditions of the La Carmagnole or Ça Ira, or make mention of the planting of liberty trees.

She's been quite hard at work training her skill with a sword, which would involve learning a lot of footwork, how to move in a stable stance, read your counterpart's movements and respond to them instinctively. Makes sense it would translate well into formal dancing.
