Option One: You decide that your crafting work is good enough and you want to get on with actually infusing it. The benefit of this option is self-evident. You get your charm done much faster and can actually use it before long.
Option Two: You decide to double down on your crafting, and you'll keep working until your Craft (Jewelry) successes total to be at least double the build target for Fractal. As a reminder, the build target for Fractal is 62. Right now, you have 66 successes. So you would need 58 more. The benefits of this path is that Fractal would be better made and would function better when you do infuse it.
For those who are curious, it would take four actions to complete the infusion as the charm currently is.
For doubling down, each build action averages out at 12 successes. Therefore, five build actions are needed to reach 58 on average, and then we'd need five infuse actions on average to finish it out. 18.67 per infuse action, for reference.
This is a difference of six actions between each approach.
Now, let me advocate for doubling down. I won't talk about the long-term benefits as much, here, because the difference between a BT62 Charm and a BT93 Charm is plainly seen.
Instead, I'll talk about what this charm means. This Charm uses A Love Transfixed, the crowning jewel of an ancient civilization. But, perhaps more importantly, this Charm uses something our father would have used in his ascension to Warlord, something to smooth his breakthrough and reduce the chances that he will lose his life in the attempt. Kong Shuren loves Kong Zhi, however, so he gave it to his son instead.
Now, let me talk about what doubling down means, in story. Doubling down is when Zhi goes over a charm, looking for imperfections, such as edges that could be smoothed, areas that could be packed with more runes, and so on in order to make the Charm even better than it was. That's the source of the 50% increase in BT.
That's why, personally, I'd want Zhi to double down on this charm. I know Shuren wouldn't care if we didn't double down, because that's not why he sent over the material in the first place. However, I think that Zhi is the sort to care enough about the meaning of what Shuren sent him to go the extra yard, even though he doesn't really have to and he could get the Charm out sooner if he didn't. Because well, love is irrational like that. Or at least, that's my feeling on the matter.
Hence,
[X] The higher the build target, the better. We want to double down.
