The Path Unending (A Cultivation Quest)

Looks like Heart and Fractal are tied. (If my math is right, at least.)

What if we combine them? Give ourselves multiple toggleable forms at the cost of weaker integration bonuses?

I doubt that would really satisfy anyone. They have radically different aesthetics, and very different mechanical use-cases.

Of course, having better insight when carving our anam channels is likely to benefit us the rest of our life too.

A good foundation is everything in cultivation.

Edited to add the exact quote:

Deeper benefits from channel carving is meaningful beyond Farmer.
I would say that the Heart could very well improve the Farmers Step just as well. Siani calling us an "Incomplete" Soldier and to become complete we need to Integrate Techniques that match our Core before we begin the Farmers Step. It's clear that the Techniques we have integrated will have a significant effect on how we carve our Channels in some manner.

If we do the Heart and improve the integration process I don't see it as a long shot that it will also improve the effects of the Farmers Step.

I think it's a disservice to the Forge to downplay the overall benefits it has to Cultivation, even if it is 'only' the Farmer's Step while playing up the benefits of the Heart. Both are good, and the wording is both 1) Vague for both & 2) Not set in stone.

One (potential) inference could be that given the Heart has two distinct functions (Monsterform + Integration bonus), that the charm's overall power is split between those two.

Whereas the forge has (atleast by the admittedly vague wording) seems like it has one function, so theoretically the entirety of the charms power-budget is in that.

Look; I get it. The sarcophagus is actually pretty weird; I agree and if it had a different form I think it'd be a perfect charm.

However; one of the things that I like most about the Forge compared to the other charms, and I don't think is maybe getting enough acknowledgement (maybe it is, or maybe others don't care) is that the Forge is not KZ exclusive.

It lets KZ give back to the family that gave so much, literally their future ascendency in the form of Shuren's imminent Warlord's Step attempt which would've catapulted the Kongs into the upper echelons. Miss me with that copy+paste Iron Man arc reactor expy that is literally everywhere.

EMBRACE FORGE. REJECT ALL OTHERS

As long as Forge loses, I don't care which at this point wins. Not only does the coffin idea sound dumb, it loses us our only Steel mat on hand, which means Fa's axe is delayed EVEN LONGER until we can replace it. I'm sure she can be patient, but patience has a limit guys!

I'm sure they will all 3 be helpful while we're a Farmer. I was just disputing the idea that Forge wouldn't give us any benefit beyond that.

All these charms are probably equal power level. If Forge is focused on the Farmer's step, it's going to be much better at it than the Heart, which has benefits to two other things.

Worst case, we can post a job to acquire us a steel material. It wouldn't be that big a deal.

[X] The Heart of Kong

This is most like the idea I had shortly after the our change, all for charm cyborg Kong.
Also the battle form changing as we learn techniques seems cool to me, in a we are making this change our own way

I don't know how to combine Fractal and Heart, since both of them require the majority of the stone, but here's my take on the other two compromise options:

The Fractal Forge

Feed beasts and materials into the sarcophagus, consolidating them into star constellations, which can then be used for tempering or activated for a situational boost.

The Star-Forged Heart
An implant that improves insight and integration and slowly reforges the body into ideal form from the inside.
