The Path Unending (A Cultivation Quest)

For the Heart of Kong is it that it can be full and partial transformations? So the Tiaoyue form would be replicated onto both sides, and there'd be the pre-Tiaoyue form, but also all the interchangeables of limbs when needed. Or it's just one or the other form with anam?

We don't really know what the end result will look like for any of these. We just have hints of the direction from what Ves posted and the author's original intent.

What I'm hoping for is a battle form influenced by techniques Zhi integrates. The note about integration spreading perfection through the body gives that vibe. Nice and symmetrical

The problem I have with The Forge of Idealization is that we will have to wait until we are a complete soldier before we could even use it. And to become a complete Soldier first we will have to integrate 3 techs.

honestly though, I don't mind if Heart of Kong wins. Keeping the combat form, the potential for said form to change over time, whilst still allowing for Zhi to face the underlyin trauma that seems to still be plaguing him and having a more physical method of taking back control is pretty good for me.

Also this, I totally forgot about this fact.

To be honest, I don't think this is a particularly big deal. The task assigned to Kong Zhi is to complete his Soldier's Step by integrating the three techniques, that is his #1 assigned priority. I truly think that with any charm, KZ won't finish crafting it before he integration.

3/9 of each weeks AP is devoted to Siani's tasks, which some will probably count as technique cycling time. I'd guess roughly 2-3/9 a week will need to be spent supporting that, i.e. Wonder searching, archive actions, sect jobs to gather currency to buy info/rent wonders etc. Then the ever present socials. KZ probably only has time enough for one or two crafting actions a week at best, something like any of these charms is going to take a whole lot, and once again, given that 'complete your step' was the task given to him by Siani completing it as quickly and wholesomely as possible is the go.

Reject all others, Embrace Forge.

I just want it noted that with Forge it's going to be in quest time MONTHS before we get a benefit. MONTHS >_<

I know that "Reject all others Embrace Forge" is catchy but really think if you want your big fancy charm that you put a lot of effort into to then be put on a shelf for months. And then we only get benefits from it when we carve channels, which again we don't know how long it will take.

Out of game time, I could easily see it being 7 months minimum before we step into this thing.

In the meantime, we still have a malus to both crafting and fighting. Both of which we want to do. Are you all wanting to vote for rehab to help fix the limbs in the meantime? Cause we will need to do something.

I love the idea of finding something to help us carve channels. But it uses a) like all our ingredients and b) it's going to be forever til we use it.

Can we not put research and focus into a carving channels specific charm in the future? Inspired by this one?

I just don't find this a compelling argument, its not like any of the other charms suddenly get auto-crafted and I've outlined why I think it's reasonable to think that the only time KZ will have time to craft whatever the ALT charm is is more likely than not to be after he's finished the Soldier's Step. Besides, we all know that delaying gratification results in better outcomes.
