At some point, we should probably check the Archives to see if we can find a cycling technique that lets us keep our bonus to crafting without having to take a penalty to combat.
Even if it exists, I doubt such a cycling technique is part of the "public domain".

Wouldn't hurt to check. Worst that can happen is we get confirmation of that.
It costs an AP. Hence, it does hurt to check, after a fashion.
Especially for something rather unlikely on our level of cultivation.
