No she is drunk enough that she wants to. She knows it isn't a good idea to do it. Again this isn't going to be some highly elaborate dance. You are all overthinking this. We are done with the working part of the night already all we have left is making her feel better.

And if she was truly so drunk that she would do it she would have kept trying. Again this is something very simple that you all are blowing way out of proportion.
The combination of overthinking and loss aversion makes cowardice very appealing.
That said. Slow-dancing with a girl at a party who's drunk enough to just go with it but not so drunk as to be sloppy is half of what I went to weddings for in my 20s.
Well, the discussion is why harder fought than I had imagined being fair.
And the drunken girl is here because I had grown a bit bored with just the shipbuilding parts and needed to get over that dark spot called writer's block. This part, in the quest, helps with that as it is something else to write.
Can we buy all the rights for the Foray-class blockade runner and then massively modernize the ship, together with our smaller weapons reactor, we could install more weapons.

Except it is not a political SNAFU at all. It is a simple dance not a major political move. And no it is not easy to fix a problem with ships or are you ignoring the fact that all of stress is from "fixing" things that have gone wrong. Again you are all overblowing this very simple choice. Which are give Risa a nice dance to let her feel wanted and happy, drag her away like an embarrassment and try to catch someone/something else for another thing to work on, or leave her and her issues alone and go home.
It's not that I was scared of the consequences of having a dance - at worst she'd make a fool us of and we'd be mildly embarrassed, nothing tragic. But it doesn't make it a good idea, and the MC does not seem the type of person to try and distract her with a dance, when he can get out of the overbearing party into the gardens instead.
You decided that Risa needed anything but another drink or a dance. The woman needed to cool down. And some fresh air. Quickly, you dragged her off to the nearest exit that led into the garden. For her part, Risa didn't protest, so it at least didn't look like you were trying to kidnap her. She even fell into your steps when you left the ballroom behind. Only then did you feel safe enough to let her go.
When the cold of the night hit you and Risa, she gasped and took a deep breath. It felt good to breathe chilled, fresh air after the ball. When you turned around, your companion gave you a small smile. The drunken veil on her eyes had become lighter, even if it hadn't vanished. "Thanks, Frox. I might have done something stupid."
"Like trying to skin a female Wookie who seems to be the escort of your ex to this party?" you asked lightly and led her deeper into the garden, following a small path that was discreetly illuminated. Risa snorted in reply. When she turned, you saw a small, embarrassed smile on her face. She shook her head, making her tendrils fly lightly around her head.
"Something like that, yes. If it hadn't been for you, I would've become the first scandal of the evening." She gave you a wide grin and then bowed curtly before you. "But thanks to my personal Jedi Knight, I've been saved. Thank you, Master Jedi!"
"Oh, nothing to thank me for, my lady. I did what anyone would do, besides: it's for the good of the company and all that."
"I'm shocked, Frox! And here I thought you were my Jedi with a blazing lightsaber, and now it turns out that you're just a Trade Federation representative!"
"Ah yes, you have seen through my clever disguise! But you can't resist forever, soon you will see the merit of my credits! And then you will give in to my proposal!"
For a moment, you both stared at each other, unsure if you did just quote one of the worst holodramas of the last decade, Credits and Knights. Risa was the first one to break the silence that had settled in. First, it's just a snort, then she began to laugh uncontrollably. Her hand shot out towards your arm, seeking support for her to stay standing. You could barely offer that as you found yourself laughing along with her. After almost an eternity, you calmed down again. Being the gentlebeing you were, you led Risa to a bench in the garden a bit away from the usual ways and sat down with her.
She didn't say anything but sighed heavily as she gazed up towards the stars. You followed her eyes to the nightly heaven above you and marveled at it for a moment. Stars were something familiar for you and more comfortable to you than a sunny day might be for a planet-born. Without much thinking, you identified some of the stars you could see and tried to estimate what ships the bright, fast-moving points of light that darted about the sky were. For the first time since this evening started, you felt relaxed. Seeing the stars from a planet has something soothing to you that you can't explain.
When you looked at Risa, you saw her smile, but tears were running down her cheeks. Without looking away from the stars, she said, "It hurts, you know? I think I will need time to get over that furry, sexy Wookie."
"You've all the time in the galaxy."
Silence settled over you two for another long moment before Risa said, "Thanks," almost too quiet to hear it.
Stress -2
Two days later, you arrived at your department with a newfound energy that surprised most of your team. It had been a good idea to go to the Re-Join ball, not because of the people you met there but because of Risa. Even if she cried a bit and you had to save her from becoming THE gossip of the evening, overall, the two of you had fun. It helped massively to lose some of the stress you had felt building up in you, and now you're motivated to see the prototype finished.
"Right, Shen, give it to me," you said when you stopped next to the Duros, who was looking at the holo of the prototype. "What have you come up with for the last part?"
He gave you a long look before grinning. Then he pointed to the datapad that was lying on the edge of the projector. "Take a look, boss. We've come up with several designs for the crew quarters. They will be the most difficult to place in the hull. We don't actually have that much place to spare anymore. I've also added a few special parts that the ORSF might find useful to have on a corvette, such as secondary armament and tractor beams."
"About the quarters, what solution have you come up with?"
"Well, it comes down as before to the level of luxury we want to give the crew. But I've also looked at some comparable quarters in other corvettes. I noticed a trend that corvettes used closer at home or close to a base usually have less luxury and quarters on them. Ships that are meant to operate outside of the reach of classical bases have more quarters, but even there the luxury has its limits. And then there are the odd cases, like the CR90 that has a mixture of high-level quarters and more simple ones."
You nodded to show that you have listened as you scrolled through the list to get a rough overlook of what it contains. For a moment, you looked at the options for the quarters before looking up at the Duros. "Any recommendations for our corvette?"
"Well, I would concentrate on options that support short to medium haul deployments for our corvettes. I don't think that the ORSF will deploy them on long-term operations. They have other options for that," he answered. "I would also recommend adding a tractor beam. They often operate in close ties with law enforcement, so a way to catch fleeing criminals will be helpful. Or missile launchers and torpedoes that would support the more combat orientated operations against pirates."
"Not both?"
"Well, it's possible, I think." Shen took a long look at the projection of the ship and shrugged. "It's just that we don't have that much space left. We should set priorities as much as possible or develop a ship that can do anything somewhat but nothing exceptionally. That would be fine for a cruiser but not for a corvette."
I think 8, unless the trait Pinagg just got applies to all weapons this turn in which case it is more but not sure how much more.
@Jax how many crew bunks are needed for the expected crew?
So right now I am looking at 1 or 2 crew bunks depending on how many are needed and probably Strong Shields. If there is still space Tractor or Light Launcher could fit in.
