I don't really like either of the options proposed but given that we have to choose i think i'll go with:
[x] Fortress up with Zhengui around the starstone, drive the barbarians away from it and try to eliminate any who would interfere with Renxiang's duel.
CRX is fresh and really she deserves her chance at shinning against a peer opponent, for once.
We are also slightly wounded (Zhengui is going to be frienking proud of that throat tank!
) and we have a whole army looking at us funny. Evasive maneuver seems appropriate right now...
Also, playing the role of a hard point for CRX's and the Sect's reinforcements seems doable.
My only preoccupation is how will the starstone's warping will affect our defensive fields and arts?

[X] Assist Cai Renxiang immediately, bringing your spirits with you. Ducal heiress or no, he has three stages on her. He seems to be the only one who can immediately pull the starstone out of play anyway.

i don't think we've ever been in a situation that favors Ling Qi overall build more than right now.
We have an army of mooks to leach Qi from.
We have an army to dodge/face tank.
We have something to defend and prevent people from reaching.
We had to use our stealth to not only spy on them but also steal the prize from literally under their nose.
is there ANY part of our build that isn't eminently relevant right now? maybe the formation stuff ?

I think this the best way to support CRX considering Ling Qi's wounds and qi expenditure. Preventing interference for the duel and creating a hardpoint for the reinforcements to rally around seems pretty important.

I'm conflicted. Defence is thematically and tactically similar to that Shen Hu defence vote we skipped over.
However, buffs should t be underestimated. Our enemies are going to be buffing eachother up. Isolated, we are less than otherwise. Renxiang has some pretty good buffs, and we could further reinforce her defences. Our spirits would benefit from the combined buffs as well.

Hmm...Method of shifting things around and the White Sky dude laying down supporting buffs aside, this update played out more or less as I was expecting
Assuming that two Dancers were the limit of the Shishiguis immediately present reserves, then we're in really good shape so long as the White sky folks remain only curious
And there's one more thing to consider:
I'd the Starstone is at Ling Qis back, theres little chance of Elsa and her husband sneaking up on either her or Hanyi to try and indulge in said curiosity
Once the Sect reinforcements arrive, the damage that Guan Zhi and Renxiang dealt will tell along with anything else Ling Qi and co. Managed to pull off in the meantime, so the qualitative disparity should have narrowed enough that our numbers advantage will prove sufficient to overwhelm the Barbarians and Shishigui remaining in the Caldera and drive them off successfully, if not outright kill them

Or if the sect forces are being absolutely demolished. If the elder has to step in everything has gone to hell.

I'm not sure LQ is going to do much good against this guy. I mean, no matter how you look at him, he is a tank. He not only reacted in time but even saved one of the barbs. OTOH his constructs aren't going to do much against CRX, she already dispelled some of them. It's going to be stalement. Wich is actually good. We have

I think he will also likely intervene to save the life of politically important students, or the sect's core cyan disciple, as losing either would be a big blow to the sect.
Ling Qi doesn't really have either protection. CRX may have, by which I mean she is normally the person that definitely has it... but Shenhua may well have gone out of her way to repeal it. Viscount heirs and Count important scions may merit the same protections, if there are any here.

What are the odda that Rat Man has a necrotic technique, like the others, and that killing him prompts a "and now outrun the rot-tide" sequence.
