Aiding the E.G.G.M.A.N. (Sonic)

I like this plan, it works well to make Silver Sonic a sort of Scout-Hero unit. We already have a robot for durability in the form of Alpha/ZERO and either version of Mecha Sonic would be a better fit for a tanky Sonic-bot. It'd still be for the best if we could get at least the first armor upgrade though, leaving that as-is Silver Sonic could be destroyed in one good hit from Knuckles. Having said that, with all these speed upgrades it'd be better to send Silver Sonic to hunt down the Chaos Emeralds rather than trying to pit it directly against Sonic. Ideally I'd like to send him out to retrieve the Emerald Amy and Birdie have instead of Alpha(maybe catching Birdie before it can escape), or possibly to hunt for unclaimed Chaos Emeralds before Sonic or Tails can get their hands on them.

@undead frog Couple of questions, 1: Will Silver Sonic be getting proper hands over the claw grabbers it's original design had as part of its upgrade? 2: With the Egg Pawns finished, will the rest of the E-100 Series be switching from the animal battery to the Pawn's?

And, for quick reference, a primer on the locations of all the Chaos Emeralds throughout Sonic Adventure.
Purple: Held by Tails to power the Tornado. Stolen by Dr. Robotnik when Sonic and Tails return to the latter's workshop and the first Emerald fed to Chaos.
Yellow: Held by Big the Cat as a lucky charm; Eaten by Froggy after being possessed by Chaos. Fed to Chaos by Froggy on the Egg Carrier at the same time as the Turqoise Emerald, being the 5th and 6th Emeralds.
Turqoise: Held by "Birdie" as a pendant. Escapes with the Emerald from the Egg Carrier when flying over Station Square. Kept by Birdie and Amy until it is finally taken by Dr. Robotnik as they try to escape the Egg Carrier. Fed to Chaos by Dr. Robotnik on the Egg Carrier at the same time as the Yellow Emerald, being the 5th and 6th Emeralds.
Blue: Located within Windy Valley. Stolen by Dr. Robotnik after being dropped by Sonic in a fight with Knuckles. Fed to Chaos at the same time as the Green Emerald, being the 3rd and 4th Emeralds.
White: Contained within the Vault of Casinopolis; Stolen by Dr. Robotnik by dosing Sonic and Tails with sleeping gas as they leave Casinopolis. The second Emerald fed to Chaos.
Green: On the other side of Icecap, a mountain. Stolen by Dr. Robotnik after being dropped by Sonic in a fight with Knuckles. Fed to Chaos at the same time as the Blue Emerald being the 3rd and 4th Emeralds.
Red: Within the maze of the Mystic Ruins Forest. Taken by the possessed Froggy and caught by Tails to use as a power source for the Tornado 2.

Was looking on the Sonic wiki (Before it for some reason caused my computer to get very slow) and ended up coming across a badnik called a Leon which is apparently able to cloak.
 
A Simple Progress Report
Do to . . . The desire to do this and to increase our power, our first Omake. It is of questionable quality.

Also, if this gets any points, can I request it is held until after Adventure 1 so the plans don't have to be remade?

Dr Ivan Robotnick, or Dr Eggman if you were referring to him when he was working, was quite pleased with how his newest creation, the Egg Brain, was doing.

It was proving to be quite the boom to his work force.

The Egg Pawns were an interesting first choice, but a strong foundation was critical to success, so Eggman could see why the Brain started there. It even designed units for the sky and sea so it had most terrain types covered already, meaning you could but there nearly everywhere that didn't has insanely hostile environments. All in all, a good first addition by the Egg Brain. They might even be able to mob that Sonic and delay him for a few seconds.

The work on Alpha was a lot more straight forward, it was no longer as dumb as a recorder and had insulators and surge protectors installed. Egg man wished he could say more on this, but there wasn't really anything one could say. Alpha already had a decent spread of weapons and an ok amount of armor, so the best thing would be to just make it smarter and not explode when it was hit with static electricity. At least Alpha would be better in the field now, and would make a good general now.

The Egg Brains latest project was Silver Sonic, from the logs Eggman was reading, it seemed that the Egg Brain was working on making them more maneuverable to have a change to actually hit Sonic. Some of Egg Brains notes seemed to indicated that Silver Sonic would benefit more from dodging attacks then being able to take them, and Eggman agreed with that.

Eggman was quite happy with all that Egg Brain had done so far, but he couldn't dally on that, he had work to do on the other E series robots.

Apparently there are Bunny versions of the Eggpawn.
Eggman is kind childish in that while his main army is pretty uniform he really likes his other armies to have 'theme's to them. Most of them are just cosmetic changes to the Eggpawns but to be blunt if he had the time you'd probably see more eggpawn variants with unique abilities based on where you fight them backed up by badmock specifically designed to fit into a given areas theme.

For example he'd like make say a viking based area with Eggpawn Berserkers backed up by badnicks based off of northern wildlife but he's usually too busy with his more universal designs and boss machines so he settles for reskins.

That said themes are usually limited to Eggpawn/badnicked based armies, mostly because the other 'mainline' machines like Egg Warriors and Egg Gunners don't have the same flexibility.

We will need to fix this cause I would like a wide variety of Badniks to with each area, especially once we get to Sonic Heroes cause I did like the Casino Zone.:D

    [x] Armor Update 2: Now that he's up to par actually utilizing more advanced armor designs in Silver Sonics frame should lead to a truly durable machine to add to your masters forces, though sadly his armor would still be quite a bit weaker than Alphas.. 4 Points.

You get to work on improving Silver Sonics many, many, many deficiencies. The first of which is the fact that the machine is utterly incapable of maintaining it's tip speed for any large period of time. Given Silver Sonics natural as an imitation of the fastest thing alive this is a very big problem to declare the very least. Early Metal Series or not if Silver Sonic is to stay relevant on a modern battlefield this issue must be solved.

Thankfully the design concept behind Silver Sonic's locomotion are solid so all you truely need to do is to swap out the parts with customized variations of modern technology meant for higher top speeds and longer endurance.

Now Silver Sonics other main problem was the limited use of his Spin Attack. Now you aren't able to pull match all of the properties Sonic himself has shown with his own Spin Attack over the years you are able to vastly increase Silver Sonics own capabilities with it allowing him to enter the state near instantly, detect his current location while still in his Spin Attack, and finally the power to turn allowing Silver Sonic to devastate enemies that stuck on the ground or too slow to dodge repeated Dash Attacks.... sadly you where not able to upgrade Silver Sonic's durability and he remains a rather fragile machine.

Still he should be decent enough at collecting Chaos Emeralds so long as he makes sure to avoid any opponents that are too strong for him such as Sonic himself of that Knuckles character.
