Also, piety should be 40 minimum, what with her A ranked magical resistance.
The CKII doesn't really cover defensive stats like magic resistance. High piety will not protect you from warp flames.
Also I will point out that in two F/SN routes she ends up mind-controlled and in F/Z Iskander breaks her by talking.

I feel that most of the Fate Heroes would do alright in the current Age, but they wouldn't stand out that much honestly. So much bullshit is present in this new Age of Strife.
Much of that is down to the age of the individuals in question.
I ballpark Artoria as 40 years old. Which makes her younger than Rotbart was when he arrived on Avernus. All our truly awesome characters are people who have spent hundreds of years honing their skills. Only Jacob managed to become epic within a normal human lifetime.

@Angelform I am not very knowledgeable about Fate/Stay stuff, but I would assume that Rotbart would actually be a Ruler, unless Saber lets people pass on having a Magic Sword. His skills and greatness are about military leadership and command, not personal combat.
Ruler is more a job than a Class. Alexander is a Rider. Napoleon is an Archer.
To be honest the classes are very inclusive. For example Cu Chulainn qualifies for all seven normal classes and Hercules for six. Rotbart could likely be Saber, Archer or Rider.
 
While I do think that laying the groundwork for the creation of our own Akashic Reader is certainly something we should do, what is this "Throne of Heroes"?
Reference to fate stay night, but I'm just using it as a stand in for the realm of heroes.

In fate, I'm sure someone like @Angelform or @ArchAIngel could give a better description, its a place where the souls (I think) of heroes are moved too.

People can then summon said heroes to kick the crap out of each other.

So you can have things like Medusa punching Cu Chulainn in the face.

If there were such a thing in Embers it might let us...I dunno summon Ferrus Manus back to kick ass or something.
 
I'm pretty firmly against using Lin actions looking for things that we haven't seen positive evidence for.

We have the Diplo action for him now. Depending on how the interlude goes, having him look into Khaine, updates on Khorne, or both would make sense. I also think in-depth knowledge on Isha (potentially useful for the rescue attempt), Cegorach, and Ynnead should be a high priority, as they are basically the full list of powerful allied gods.

Then there's setup for whatever end of life actions we want to take. If healing is the answer looking at the fundamental nature of curses, knowledge on Guilliman specifically as a Primarch (what he embodies etc), and possibly on Vulcan specifically as a Primarch if he's going to assist.

Pretty sure that Archer is out. While he has a trait from always carrying around a grenade launcher, that is nowhere near the narrative weight of the BCS and his skill with it.

As for Rider, the only vehicle I can think of that could maybe qualify is that advanced capitol imperialis thingy that he uses as a mobile command center.

Also, his greatest legend by far is that he not only managed to set up a colony on Avernus, but also make it prosperous. This really should result in an NP, probably something that involves bullshit Avernites.

From his traits and fluff, I would not consider Avernites loyalty to Rotbart lesser than that of Alexanders soldiers to him. And can you imagine the utter bullshit that an Avernus reality marble would be?

The Eternal War would be a good name for it.

So there it is, a Sea Preparation plan for Turn 130. Not entirely sure on Diplomacy after Year 4, but if you want to go for the Sea/Well (And people want it enough to vote Yes, at least) , we pretty much need to get it done now - Lin will get his final train and start rolling for death after next turn, and we still need to get several diplomacy actions done, depending on what Areatha tells us. It's also important to note that it's not what somebody actually did that defines the abilities, but what their legend says it was. Given that Rotbart has quite the reputation and did things like kill a greater demon in a single strike it's not too farfetched that a larger than life reputation would translates to his abilities as a servant.
 
I wonder, if an action is started before Lin gets his last trait upgrade but ends when he has it, how does it resolve?

If the action needs to start with the trait, I strongly for starting the Well (if we are doing it) when he gets it. It gives him a 5% chance of dying in the first turn he has it, 10% second, 20%/40%/80% after. For such a high value/risk action the additional ~10% of him not living long enough seems worth it.

If Sirens agree to help in last turns actions, that could provide bonuses for this turns rolls. Unless they need another action to integrate their help into our psyker hunting, which they might. Also, even if they are unwilling to help, could we just invite to be around nom on chaos psykers souls whenever they can? Because tasty and fuck chaos.

I maintain that Sirens and Nynye are very unlikely to be of help with the Well/Sea. We should ask Areatha what peoples could be of help first, we have the time for it and it waste less actions/helps more.

Do not bring it up, they will if needed. Also they might be willing to do it for "free", that is for those chaos psykers souls, which would be a win win. Well, for souls and Fuck Chaos.

We should try to frame it that way first.

Also, they might be willing to help in different ways than sending troops.

I do not see how the Nynye could help us much there. They do not have any innate anti-psyker advantages. And they are kinda really really busy right now, they can't just spare their elites I don't think. We are much better off buying Alkahestry from them then their warriors.

However the Ahra thing ends, Eldar will need all the divinations that Rids can spare right now. They also have extensive intelligence network, and have a good chance of spotting any such crusade forming, in which case they would inform us.

And what we even do to prepare for it? What use would this info be? We are already doing maximum military, and will get at least a 5y warning before they arrive thanks to the Order of Omens.

Yes, I do not dispute that he is qualified for Saber. Nonetheless even killing greater daemon so pales compared to his governorship.

I'm honestly not sure how much use would they be, and whether we can research them. We're keeping all other Avernus animals well away, after all. Though now that I think about it, maybe we could make an anti-hivemind psychic power with Telepathica action after we research them. I'll ask Durin about viability and consider it.

In my opinion, Mechanicus military stuff will not be used any time soon, so it's better to do resources now, and then make military later, when the hive fleet is closer.
