Melta impaler rounds? Are you aware that Impalers fire rounds the size of a sewing needles or smaller?

They can and will fire larger ones with specialist munition, but melta?

Also a complete waste of Tranths specialities.
Yup, melta. If they can fire alternate muntions, they should be able to do melta. At least the bigger impaler weapons.

Tranth's specialties are haywire, stealth, power armour, and Titans. Unless you want him to only ever study those things, that is not a good argument.

And we don't even use the things!
Most of the Trust's regular forces still use impalers

And melta is not great against known Tyranids anyway.
quite frankly we don't know what the tyranids will be like. The War in the Void would've changed them and hive ships greatly differ in specialty from each other besides that.

I think it is a good idea to at least know what the flaws are before beginning production too.
We already know what the flaws are. The action you're voting for is just about seeing if the Thunder Warriors' flaws - which, I must repeat, we already know - can be fixed. Don't think the action is something it's not.

I just notice a big problem with Shard Plan is that he has Aria instead of Tamia working on the Vault. Tamia has a 91 percent chance compared to Aria 63 percent chance. Including double down and trait.

I'm not sure if the Bridge Rune needs implementation?

Maybe it does. Gah.

@Durin If it wouldn't bother overmuch, what runes do we have that we have examined but have not implemented? I think there is some confusion as to whether Implementing the Rune needs to be done.
in general you need to implement all of them

Implementing the runes is important from a political position. The only reason the High Council permits us to trade souls is because the Trust is facing an age of extinctions and it's scrambling for advantages. To not implement the runes in a timely manner is to say that we're trading human souls away for merely minor benefits.

Fair enough and thanks you, I'll stick to my vote though. I just not interested in poking the wildlife for minor bonuses right now
Hero-killer dragons is not a minor bonus.

No, his specialities are psytech, gravitics, and maybe stealth after a bit of work.

Because fundamentals, DAoT treaties, and major human powers being just better at anything that we don't have a unique advantage for.

I am all for grabbing some low hanging fruit, but melta against Tyranids which might happen to work well against these Tyranids (Necron gauss weapons have ridiculous AP, so I would bet that they would work even worse than against normal Tyranids) along with a assumption that they could work with Impaler specialist munition?

Also, they would be specialist rounds, rare and expensive. Nothing remotely anti-horde.

And this instead of a DAoT superweapon? When it can, at the very least, slow or accelerate entire fleets and we will be playing keep away with them in the Void?

Also Melta are Advanced fundementals, so we could have Pulse Weapons, Cogitators, Strike Craft, Torpedoes, Normal Genetic Engineering, Armor, Shipbuilding, Torpedoes, or Advanced Material Production instead. Or much more.

nooooo He doesn't.

Those are specialities that he could gain including temporal tech, but at the moment he doesn't have those, he has traits for armour titans, as well as fundamentals stealth and haywire.

@Durin
1. I can't remember if you answered this: Tranth did nat the well's 100 Macrocannons a long time ago, is that enough for him to maybe gain Macrocannon fundamentals, the wells being the most advanced macro cannons we know of.

Long term, they are. On psytech we have both Avernus and DAoT treaties, and he has done a lot of work on gravity and also treaties. Stealth he almost has the fundamentals already, he just needs to figure out Cloaks.

Sure, he can do other things better than average, like that bonus to Titan stuff, but that would be a waste of his time. The major powers, and Callamus for sure, can do such things better and faster than us.

We need to specialize into what we are uniquely suited for.

It's basic, actually.
The List has Melta Weapons as Advanced, and the Mecahnicus page fundamentals lack them anywhere. Are you sure?
