The near-total destruction of your culture to the point that it would no longer be recognisable. You wouldn't even be a successor state of the Arthwyd, but a different civ entirely.

No. You could use arcane magic just fine, but your highly religious nature that is fundamental to your culture means that you reject arcane magic in favour divine magic that your goddesses have gifted you with. It is a cultural bias thing which you won't break without breaking your culture.

So does that mean that we view any non divine magic as fundamentally evil, because having such bias that we don't even want to learn other forms of magic calls for it.
