Get in duels with enemy heroes and kill them. Unfortunately this thread has been annoyingly adverse to duels, not just for us, but for our other heroes as well.

Then lets all duel one thing as a group. Have one annoying chaos fuck trying to act tough just getting kicked around in Heretic ball. We get to enjoy seeing everyone's limit break/quickening, and I think Rotbart's would be him kicking in someone's teeth with his robo leg and launching a grenade into them. Or stabbing them with a power knife (which is the deadliest weapon of course).

Heretic Ball, the greatest sport in the Imperial Trust! Watch as Horatius proves his mastery of Golf & Baseball! Observe Jane's skill with the epee! Jacob's quick wits at squash! Get dunked on by Rotbart, Supreme Overlord of Basketball & Baseketball! Observe Surt and his grand eloquence of Full Contact Chess, Go, and Shogi!

the chance of you geting a trait from a duel goes up with the danger, so if a bunch of heroes gang up on a single foe and utterly slaughter him they are unlikely to gain any traits, while if you go into a fight you have every chance of losing and then win a trait is near certain

So what I'm hearing is:

Spend Time with (Threnody Dragon)
Personal Attention (Greater Psyker Hunting)

@Durin
1. How do we get heroes into duels during war turns? Do we just state in the plan that we want X hero to duel the leader of Y enemy army/Y enemy hero, or what?
2. Which of our named characters can get into duels? Can the Marshals?

Rotbart will basically attract Duels to him if we set up a situation that even lets it happen.

8. before asking a question think about whether it is at all relevant and whether knowing the answer would influence your decisions in any way (eg don't ask about the minutia of combat rules unless you are in a fight)

It's relevant in the sense that the current conversation is about Horatio's shiny new Paragon Trait and people want one of our own. You know, the conversation which Durin's been engaging with?

I like During talking with us also.

I was not even thinking about that. My mind had been on topic for a few months already on getting those points of ours up. But yes, seeing that reminded me to look again and bring it up for once.

So what I'm hearing is:

Spend Time with (Threnody Dragon)
Personal Attention (Greater Psyker Hunting)

We killed a gamma level assassin and our guards killed her posse. I think we can take that level again.

Spending time doing Psyker Hunting actions isn't actually that bad of an idea. The BCJ removes a lot of the risk, and we need to get the psykers under control.

how do I vote for that?
[X] cap some psykers?

Lets do this and build a little shrine where we pray for those we care about, offering a a piece of equipment from our foes when we do so. Get that piety up.

And no, I am not trying to game things, I just am trying to get a few points up as our growth has been stagnant for centuries.

Put the action in a plan. And the shrine thing almost certainly wouldn't work.

you take psyker hunting as a personal attention

I don't think Rotbart can psyker hunt very effectively, his bodyguards would get in the way. By killing the psykers. :V

We could do that instead. 50% chance is good odds. I mean, the action isn't on the list anymore but actions accidentally disappear from the list sometimes, like Power Armoured Militia did a while back. Then again it may have been intentional. I don't know. Durin didn't say anything about it.

@Durin, we haven't really gotten any options involving the Order of Restoration.
1. Maybe we could try deploying them to hosptals to attempt to reverse mutation of those who would have been mutated enough to abort or sterilise?
It's not like them failing would make it much worse.

2. I need to get this out before I forget again: Would the thing done to Jacob, with all the fetuses, be easier to do on an unborn or recently born child?
I was thinking of first making Chosen, then making a tiny force of super Chosen of the children of the best performing Chosen.
3. What level of Alkehestry knowledge is that?
4. If it's higher than ours could we fund/create a Rouge Trader to get ahold of enough alien tech to make up the difference in trade tech level? Maybe tech up the Quartok while we're at it?

it was intentional, your peity got to high to improve so easily
as a note while I know a lot of people are frustated by the slow rate of character growth that is an effect of having high stats and no massive challenges in my system, the only way for you to avoid it is to throw rotbart into danger repeatably

2. no, it would kill the child you could try somthing similar though
3. master
4. not possible without convincing the High Council first, and the High Council would be very against the idea of attracting attention like that

You spent some of this year reading though The Revelations of Saint Lin in a successful attempt to strengthen your faith before leading your men against the forces of Chaos.
It's what Durin said above your post.

We can try to grind Piety by quadruple-downing Spend Time with (Saint Lin) and potentially Tamia (as in she trains us to resist Telepathy), Learning with Tranth, Saren, potentially Tamia/Ridcully. Martial.. beat Turoq. We are the grindstone for other characters to up their Martial.
