It wasn't a default option or a trap or anything - they just came up with some very shaky and entirely unsupported logic about how stabbing themselves through the heart was the secret best option, voted for it, and then lost their shit when - surprise! - stabbing yourself through the heart kills you.
Okay, wow. Not sure exactly what I was imagining, but that's certainly pretty ridiculous. What was their justification?

It was a while ago and I'm not a huge Bleach guy, but they were trying to convince someone else's Zanpakuto to work with them - the sword told them to strike down its' avatar if they wanted to use it, and the options were to do so or refuse. The GM later said that these options were to have a lobotomised sword that would do what you told it, or convince it you were honourable enough to serve willingly. The players decided that because they were in a mental realm they couldn't really be hurt (spoilers - they totally could, the example they used didn't apply) and that demonstrating they would rather commit suicide than kill the sword would show just how honourable they were.

The GM looked at the vote, tried to find an interpretation that didn't kill them, failed because the vote didn't just say to perform the action but actually said "commit suicide", and had the players commit suicide. Somehow, this was felt to be unfair.

Ya know I'm surprised we don't have, as I call them, the Flawed Trait Perfectionist from being a Reincarnated Rin.

'Reincarnation of Tohsaka Rin'
Gives Perk 'Average One'
+All training related to the seven basic natures is greatly enhanced
+Chakra papers reveal an affinity for the Five Elements
The 7 basic natures are Fire, Water, Earth, Wind, Wood, Metal and Void (Ether). Average One also applying to Lightning chakra makes sense because it's more about being perfectly balanced than an affinity for those types, but I wonder if we can do something with Metal, Wood and Void? Wood especially would be a big deal in Naruto, both because it's very respected politically from Hashirama and because it has the potential to act on a massive, battlefield-wide scale. Metal and Void are wildcards here, unless they're mapped onto Physical (Yang) and Mental (Yin), perhaps?
Gives you Flaw 'It's not in my Nature'
+Rocks aren't ????, ?????
+The skill ??? goes up on an average/slightly above average pace, regardless of bonuses
I wonder what this is? Rin used crystals, but maybe she just considers Earth to be beneath her for being "dirty"? Or is it something else?

Yup.

Honestly, I just REALLY don't want Wood Release due to not picking the Senju blood option. It's a bloodline. Not something that can be replicated like idiotic fanon suggests.
Eh, it's one of several combined-nature bloodlines. Hashirama was the only one to ever manifest it though.

Whilst I agree that easy replication within the setting would be pretty silly, this is exactly the sort of opportunity being transferred from a different universe might feasibly offer at some point. Not only do we have a unique perspective (bolstered by Karin's chakra-sensing bloodline) that might feasibly let us figure it out at some point, but we are related to the Senju via the Uzumaki.

You honestly think they never tried that? You HONESTLY think they never tried making bloodline Chakra natures themselves?

How do you think they are bloodlines? They've probably tried for years before they figured it out. No outside perspective can possibly do what a hell of a bunch of other Shinobi have no doubt tried and failed to do.

Sorry, I meant an outside perspective including knowledge of Magecraft and the manipulation of such energies, not just the perspective on its own.

Metaphysics more than likely makes it that Chakra and Magic are so vastly different that translating one to another are neigh impossible. Let alone bloodline releases.

I'm just working off the assumption cuz magic and Chakra sound very different.
Making guesses is fine.

We're talking about possibilities here. Making assumptions to shut down lines of thought is counterproductive. Guesses can only be proven or disproven, so making definitive statements that sound like proof against a guess but are in fact based off of assumptions needlessly confuses things - you made a statement that sounded like it proved my guess wrong, but on closer inspection relied upon an unproven assumption. This is entirely unhelpful. Please don't do this.

Fine.

Still don't believe that we can recreate bloodline releases just because we used to know magic. Like how my belief of metaphysics has at best an extrodinarily hard time translating over to the other system has no hard evidence, neither does you belief that being able to use magic in the past help us create bloodline releases.

I will not be surprised if this turns out to be true. Equally, I will not be surprised if the reverse is true, because we have absolutely no indication one way or the other.

Except that Rin's Average nature works for both systems, implying they make use of similar metaphysics, I suppose. But that's pretty weak evidence.

EDIT: Oh, I think I see the confusion finally. I'm not saying "we will definitely be able to do this", I'm saying "this is a possibility we should watch out for, and test if possible".

Her Average One trait works only for the basic natures. I did say no Mokuton in the first post, did I not?

We might yet discover such a thing.

Seven natures, not elements. Yes, I was talking about Yin and Yang.

Yup.

We would have to be the reincarnation of Ashura AND a direct descendant of Hashirama. I wouldn't give Rin a bloodline (other than the Sharingan) anyway.

Votes that won:

[W](Origin) Pick up the gem
[W](Milk) Drink
[W](Action) Try to find your Circuits

I have my reasons for picking the 'Circuits' option. You'll see soon.

Story 2
You get closer to the three podiums that hold an item each, then… you pick up the gem. You'd like to keep the same Origin -it is about Origin, right?- as you used to have!

Gained Origin 'Sixth Imaginary Factor' ((Head-)Canon))!
+Gives a Colossal bonus against anything considered a Demon or Daemon
+Gives a Colossal bonus against anything that was brought to life through or for 'wishes'
+The Bamboo Wished for more/the ideal children
+CONSIDERED a Demon. Bijuu count. Jinchuuriki partially count too, due to prejudice
+Immunity to Genjutsu born of wishes, resistance to the rest of them
+Your memories are now more firmly entrenched! If they would become permanent at age n, now they'll be permanent at age (n-1)

After you make your choice, you end up… in a giant crib!? No, it's a normal one, if larger than average. You're just… small. So, it wasn't a dream, after all?

You are not in a hospital anymore, and your eyesight is much improved, as is your motor control. For all you know, months might have passed. Before you know it, you are picked up by a redheaded woman, the one who is probably your mother. She bares her breast, and you squirm in place, knowing what is going to happen.

Knowing it's futile, you don't resist, and immediately drink from a nipple, swearing revenge upon whoever turned you into a baby and made you suffer this indignity.

Your reputation with Uchiha Korin has gone up! E->E+

When your mother (?) is finished with trying to feed you, she gently rocks you, but you don't think you can sleep yet.

Once you're back in your crib, you think of how bizarre your life has become. After a bit of contemplation (definitely not brooding!), you decide to try to find your Circuits. Was there any doubt? You would very much like to try to speak or walk -crawl, at least-, but you need to confirm whether you are still capable of Magecraft; you're a Magus first. You aren't going to try to use a spell anyway.

You get into a meditative trance. It's easier than ever, and you blame the fact your control of your body is out of sync. You find… twice; no, thrice as many Circuits. Great! You use your Trigger to switch them on, not able to resist-

Discovered Flaw 'Poor impulse control - moderate-high'
+You are a baby; you can't help yourself, in more than one way
+You will lose the flaw as you grow older, or at least weaken it

…And find out that you can't. You try again, this time concentrating fully on your Trigger- nothing. You try potential alternate Triggers, even though you know it's futile - nothing. Nada. Nichts.

It's not that your Trigger has changed; it's that this body seems not to have the potential to switch its Circuits on.

Discovered Magic Circuits (number = 120). Discovered that you do not possess the ability to switch them on, so they are useless.

Fuck. Fuck~ Fuck! Fuckfuckfuck! Fuuuck!

You suddenly hear a gasp, and see Shisui in front of you. Oh crap - did you say that out loud?

"Mom, Dad! Rin said her first word!" Shisui says, and you want to bury your face in your hands.

And… did you just poop yourself? Just great! Kill… them! Whoever sent you here is going to get a Gandr or two down their throat- no, Finn shots up the ass!

The person you are now certain is your mother, the redheaded, red-eyed woman you were fed by, comes into your room; directly followed by a handsome man with messy black hair and black eyes. The two of them start cooing over you like… well, like you were a baby.

"So, what was her first word?" Your father asks Shisui.

"Eh, I don't remember," Shisui says, faking nonchalance.

"…It was a curse word, wasn't it?" Your father asks, though his voice seems certain.

"Yes," Shisui says, admitting defeat.

"Shisui, did I not tell you to watch your language in front of the baby?" Your mother says.

"Me? It was probably Dad!" Shisui says, indignant.

Your father says, "isn't Korin the one who curses the most?"

Then both males turn to your mother. This looks like it might turn into a serious(ly annoying) argument, so you decide to head it off. You say-

[](Second Word) Mama
[](Second Word) Papa
[](Second Word) Shisui

After that word, everyone turns to you. You point at the aforementioned person, and say the word again and again.

After a lot of crying and kisses to your cheeks (blech!), your family (they are your family, right? Just because you had another one 'before' doesn't mean that you shouldn't enjoy not being an orphan!) leave you to your peace and quiet. Before you know it, you are waking up to your father picking you up.

It seems your family is going somewhere, and taking you with them…? The four of you reach a relatively small wooden house, and your parents take you to meet… an old woman?

The woman says, "so, this is my new grandchild?" And examines you more closely. Then, she says, "why are her eyes blue?!"

Your parents try to explain that babies often start out with blue eyes, but the old woman won't listen, and goes on about 'shameful' and 'a disgrace' and such. You-

+Probably a curse word

If we wanted to get that Uchiha Geniustm reputation, it'd be nice to have a writein option, so we could point to all three of them in sequence and name them all accurately. Probably wouldn't raise reputation with any of them specifically, though.
Then cuss at our grandma.

Do you allow writeins without giving an explicit option for them?

Nope, I don't. And if she pointed at all of them, they would smother her by accident due to too many hugs and kisses. :p

As for cussing at our grandma - that's what the second option is about.

I wonder what this is? Rin used crystals, but maybe she just considers Earth to be beneath her for being "dirty"? Or is it something else?

Nope, it's not about a Chakra Nature.

Well, now that I know writeins aren't allowed, I feel totally free to joke about the dumb scenarios that could be caused if they were.
Like 'Rin points to herself and says her own name instead'.

Hang on, I thought we were meant to be a newborn baby? I can get some degree of being very advanced for our age, as we're a self insert, but it seems slightly ridiculous that we're capable of speech right now. I also presume that there is some way we'll be able to activate our magic circuits - perhaps with chakra?
