An interesting thought - Bolster enemy's courage so they don't despair and charge ahead into the murderdefences? :p

That refers to rocky worlds, separating them from gassy worlds.
How about a telluric planet? I realize it's used interchangeably with terrestrial, but one's gotta stick. Cadia's been described as "terrestrial" so make of that what you will.

EDIT: Apparently "Earth-analog" is a thing. Maybe these people shouldn't have wasted all the good Latin words for Earth on rocky planets.

  • [X] Plan Minimal Damage
-[X] Attempt to inflict as much damage on the warships as possible
-[X] Deploy at a long distance- This will ensure that your forces can get to the Battleship well after they land, giving the emeny room to expand but ensure that none of your men are killed by the landing.
-[X] Rely on Regulars- This force should be able to easily handle the enemy stormtroopers and slow down Astartes and Sisters as well as inflict some damage to them. This will make a slight impact on your reserves.
-[X] Keep all of your elites in reserve to counter enemy elites. -This will ensure that you have enough elites to counter the Abomination Elites but will weaken the general defences, allowing the enemy to expand their footholds more easily.
    -[X] Psykers
--[X] Trolls will continue reinforcing Dis to minimize damage.
--[X] Both Telekinetic Choirs to reinforce the Void Shields over Dis to reduce damage.
--[X] Lulana and both Daemonology Choirs on full counterspelling.
--[X] Both Biomancer Choirs to support Troops.
--[X] Tamia, both Telepath Choirs and Sirens on Counter-telepathy.
--[X] Ridcully, Xavier and Pyromancer Choir 1 to Scry-and-Fry, targeting enemy psyker choirs.
--[X] 1st Diviner Choir and Pyromancer Choir 2 on Scry-and-Fry, targeting enemy psyker choirs.
    -[x] Other
--[X] Trap the areas where the Abomination will crashland.
--[X] Continue EW on Abomination communications.
--[X] Lend Black Crystal Necklace to Tamia.
--[X] If we succeed excessively (Consult Abomination plans), fall back as appropriate so the Abomination does not immediately summon the 1st Circle Angyl.
    [X] Plan Primaris Reserves
-[X] Attempt to inflict as much damage on the warships as possible
-[X] Deploy at a long distance

[X] Attempt to inflict as much damage on the warships as possible- This creates breaches in their armour that can be used later and reduces the amount of weapons that remain active
[X] Deploy at a medium distance- This will ensure that your forces can get to the Battleship not to long after they land, reducing how much room they have at the cost of losing a some number of men to the landing.
[X] Rely on Regulars- This force should be able to easily handle the enemy stormtroopers and slow down Astartes and Sisters as well as inflict some damage to them. This will make a slight impact on your reserves.
[X] Deploy half your elites to the field and keep half in reserve. -This will leave you with a significant reserve force of elites while reinforcing your main combat zones.
    [x] Plan Spearbreaker
    -[x] Base
--[x] Attempt to inflict as much damage on the warships as possible
--[x] Deploy as close as practical

--[X] Tamia, both Telepath Choirs and Sirens on Counter-telepathy.
--[X] Both Pyromancy Choirs to Deny the Witch for half a turn.
--[X] Xavier held along with the reserve elites.

The Emperor is dead, the Imperium is dead, the Astronomican is gone, there's a fifth Chaos God, the Necrons are all awake, the Orks are now all Beast Orks, most of humanity is dead or corrupt, the Void Dragon is possibly awake, Abaddon has a Chaos Imperium, and our world has two open warp breaches subject to occasional Exalted-assisted daemonic incursions.

So...yeah, kinda fucked.

On the other hand the Krork and loyal Primarch's are starting to reappear, the Tau and Ultramar have stopped beating each other to bits, the DE are now severely reduced in power, Yneead is a thing now and the Eldar have apparently stopped being dicks while we are slowly starting to drag our little slice of humanity out of the dark age and into something that isn't completely screwed.

Also you forgot the Super Nids are coming the galaxy's way remember.

Weren't the Necrons at war with the Tyranids, so we only have to face off ONE of them?
Yes the two are currently fighting however, I don't think there's any certainty that we'll only end up fighting one of them.

The nids could break through to the galaxy before the crons kill em all, damage to the tomb worlds could force the crons to retreat stuff like that.

I'm thinking it might've been one of the things that Ridcully saw back when he did a general divination on the Necrons. That doesn't mean it makes sense for the Trust to focus on it of course, but still.
True, but by that point the King would have taken over everything again so it would probably have been gone.

Or if not then it probably wouldn't be "necron" anymore.

I had some doubts that Chaos imperium will last for long after the fall of imperium, which gave chaos a reason to really unite behind a single being but seems like Durin actually made Abbandon fucking competent.

I would have thought, that the so called chaos imperium would have fragmented into various warring states by now.

Its not in the nature of chaos to be stable, any chaos polity will ultimately destroy itself or at least will have frequent change of leadership except the Abomination.

Black Library has recently made him competent, charismatic, and very dangerous. Read the recent stuff and from what I hear you'll ready about a guy who you could definitely buy as being the greatest threat to the modern Imperium.

@Durin, can you answer this question? It's for an omake.
@Durin, are some our psykers comparable to wizards from the Empire in that they can become adventurers with little to no direct oversight?

not easily but they can arrange to be attached toi a guild, which is basically the same thing. they still have oversight though, no letting psykers wonder around the darker areas of Avernus without keeping an eye on what they bring back

I think you assume "chaos imperium" means there's some kind of centralised power...well as far as I can tell that's kind of correct.

Abaddon's Imperium is probably less his Imperium and more the assholes who flock around him for various reasons who carve out slices of territory and set themselves up, with the central authority being to not fuck with Abaddon as he can and will obliterate anyone who tries.

He's a whale shark they're all parasites riding his coat tails for various reasons, rather than having set himself up as the chaos emperor.

At least that's my guess.

close, it would be best to think of the Chaos Imeprium as Abbadon, who directly controls a central domain and several key locations and hundreds of lessor lords who nominally owe allegiance to him, but mostly go their own way unless he starts demanding support. a very feudal system that only functions because no one wants to mess with Abbadon on one hand and he knows how far he can push his vessels without a major threat on the other hand

@Durin
1. Do we know how many Black Stone Fortresses Abaddon has? From the Imperium's last records if we wouldn't know recently?
2. Does he have the Vengeful Spirit still, as it apparently serves as his flag ship?
