In my opinion, the original Chicago by Night for Vampire: The Masquerade 1E is the best setting supplement White Wolf ever made and one of the best RPG campaign settings period.
@davebrookshaw 's let's plays. Especially the second one, set in England.Which book do you think describes/explains Awakening the best. Not merely what they are, but gives an impression of what they are like, gives evocative prose on how it might be, so on and so forth?

Here's the link. The one I was talking about was called Soul Cage, though The Broken Diamond and The Man Comes Around are also good. Note that The Man Comes Around is unfinished.Which book do you think describes/explains Awakening the best. The opening fiction of Guardians of the Veil still has my favourite depiction of an Awakening yet.Which book do you think describes/explains Awakening the best. Not merely what they are, but gives an impression of what they are like, gives evocative prose on how it might be, so on and so forth?

Sure, no problem PM me, though I'm going to sleep now so I'll answer you in about 6 hours at best.Hrm, could I perhaps ask you for help in looking over something? Since you're not, as far as I can tell, participating in the Quest I'm writing, and thus are sorta 'open' in terms of 'I can share stuff to try to get feedback.'

Per my usual bias the obvious answer is Luchador: The Vigil.
I'm armchair speculating it should be Luchadors on level of Compacts?
Nah, Professional Wrestling is the way that the various splats have hit upon for settling intra-splat disputes. The reason nobody believes it's real is all the various masquerade enforcement powers all going off at once.Luchador shouldn't just be a Hunter Compact. Luchadores should be their own splat.
Really, Luchadores are spread out between many orginizations. The WWE (formerly WWF) is a massive Conspiracy whose members include actual undead bikers from hell, among other things, and provides its mundane members with supernatural drugs that give them the strength and stamina to keep up with the most powerful monsters.
Happy to help.@Generalissimo, could you recommend some books on the Cheiron group?
Funny thing from Conspiracies and Compacts. . .
Because Magic.Funny thing from Conspiracies and Compacts. . .
Field Research's willingness to hire monsters really seems like a good excuse for a multi splat campaign!
That being said implating monsters Thaumatechnology as hinted sounds like a bad idea.
Feels like getting dangerously close to stacking of splats.
What do such abominable builds even look like?
Opposite side of spectrum. . .
. . . what happens when you graft Vampire parts on a Vampire, Geist parts on a Geist, Mage parts on a Mage, Changeling parts on a Cangeling, or Wherewolf parts on a Werewolf?
Bonus Question: Why does a Mage need Thaumatechnology enhancement anyway?
Happy to help.
Outside main Hunter: The Vigil book Conspiracies and Compacts would be your best source for information.
They do show up a bit in other main Hunter books (Night Stalkers/Witch finders/Miscellaneous Vigil) but nothing truly outstanding.
Cheiron ought be, like anything else in toolbox, compatible with Mirrors if you're looking for alternate setting.
Sadly we're lacking a Cheiron Group themed adventuring module![]()
Are you looking for corporate themed media to help set mood for a Cheiron game?
Maybe something about cyborg implants and/or genetic enhancement?
I see no flaws in your fantasticBecause Magic.
The other supernaturals contain the lost divinities of mankind, awakkened by their transformation at the cost of true singular divinity that all men strive for, by using their flesh you will build your Ladder and Throne from their meat, bone and blood.
"Justification? No such thing. Now come here Heir, so that your teeth will either be at my throat or at my fingers."I see no flaws in your fantasticjustifications for atrocitieslogic.
Silver Throne's general philosophy outside their organization is hilariously appreciated.Because Magic.

There is a disadvantage for a mage getting those implants. . ."Justification? No such thing. Now come here Heir, so that your teeth will either be at my throat or at my fingers."
I can't find anything, so I'd say that it varies. Some mages come out of an awakening with a full set of Arcanum, some come out with their ruling Arcana at 1. All come out with at least the latter though, and pretty commonly with a third at 1.This is a minor question, but I can't remember the answer: does a new Mage (as in, brand new) start with both of their Ruling Arcana at 1?
Yup, Rulings both are at 1, as they are the basic enlightnment of a Path. Mysterium and TotM both talk about newly awakened mages a bit, and Mysterium also gives them a 3rd dot of their choice, although I'm not sure if that's still meant to represent "fresh from Awakening" or "had a few weeks to figure out what's what".I swear I saw a 'newbie mage' thing in one of the books. Like, "If you want to play a brand new baby mage, here's the Arcana spread." But now I can't remember where it was.
Totally, one of the things in Intruders is in fact an Abyss spiritOkay, a question. Can the Abyss/Abyssal entities do stuff to spirits? Like, taint them, control them, etc, etc? I'm asking for a friend.
Depends heavily on the abyssal entity. At least one feeds them Essence that unbinds them from the material world.Okay, a question. Can the Abyss/Abyssal entities do stuff to spirits? Like, taint them, control them, etc, etc? I'm asking for a friend.
