Star Wars: The Chosen One (An Anakin Skywalker Quest)

Well... that happened.

Tentative Plan

[] [Help] The Broken R2D2 Astromech Droid. You could rebuild him. (Gain R2D2)

[] [Level UP] Plan Talking Helps
-[] Adept Philosopher: +5 Wisdom
-[] Adept Warrior: +5 Constitution
-[] Talk with Dooku about what has happened.
-[] Use the comm on Dooku's ship to call Beru's family.
-[] Admit to Master Dooku that you have 2 Holocrons, one of the Sith and one of the Jedi

Talking with Dooku is of the utmost importance. Dooku can provide guidance and they'll get closer. Maybe a slight increace to the Force Bond
Calling Beru's family is also important. Owen is his brother and Anakin just got confirmation that their parents are dead. It does not matter if the conversation is bad due to grief. The important thing is that Anakin reaches out.
Dooku's interlude tells me that we can trust him with the holocrons. I don't really care if he keeps them and give them to Anakin later on.

We need some of that wisdom, but can I remind people that we almost died. We should get more health as well.

As for Perks
I think we can drop them for now. Unless we're going for Shatterpoint + force prodigy

[] Combat Prodigy (2 Points): Upon unlocked a Saber style, you immediate gain level one.

I don't think we will unlock a saber style before we reach Serenno and can choose a Jedi Class

[] Force Prodigy (2 Points):Upon unlocking a Force ability, you immediately gain level one.

We need to get 3 sessions of Practice Neutral Sense before we unlock any new Force Abilities this will unlock Battle Precognition and Force Sight.

@Arthellion,
What does it take to unlock a Force Ability? Would training Neutral Control unlock Stealth?
Would training Dark Control unlock Force Rage & Sacrifice? I'm assuming that simply training would give us dark side points, but would the skills also give us ds points passivly at level 1-2?

Cut the bond? We can use this. Screw that.

Also Mauls ship? Can we call it The Crystal Dagger?

.....We watched the fucking shit kill our family horribly...and you still fucking want to use him?

I very much doubt Anakin is ever going to show him mercy or feel anything other than hatred for him.

Get all the information he has, then fucking kill him. He is fucking beyond redemption or even if he wasn't, Anakin wouldn't give a shit.

That's right. Keep Maul alive and let him live through the torture. Either he can find a way to redeem himself betraying the Force Bond with his old Master Sidious, or he can die trying.

Let him have to deal with the pain.

Combat and force prodigy, 2 in the bank for dangerous situations, 2 stat perks, and 2 story perks are my thoughts. Gtg now.

R2 is the best get out of all, no questions asked. He's a long term investment.

Should have killed Maul but eh. Hope we can sever the bond next.

Anakin still doesn't give two shits about his (remaining) family :/

I hope people have learned there lesson, that just acting as a goddamned saint is not going to result in our victory.

Actions can have shit consequences, both good and bad actions.

The important point here is that Anakin learns that.

He probably isn't going to be so leanient in the future.

Hey, now that I'm awake, I'd like to bring up something very quickly. The people within this forum have kept things very polite, to an absurd degree even. During the entire vote there was quite a bit of debating and the vote itself was two votes away from a fifty split. With that said, it's not the easiest with so many outright despising the choice itself being made. Very right that some can make the argument it doesn't fit in line with Anakin as a character. A just argument to be made.

The flip side is the high amount of people who know that whichever side they chose, we were going to be drawn into a plot by the Sith. This was going to happen regardless. That we have a force bond with one of said Sith is absurd levels of fucked up and I've had to rethink my personal outlook on a character I've been treating with a high degree of bias.

That Anakin saved Maul in that moment makes sense. There were reasons. It compounded Anakin as a moral person who's sense of justice stuck above his own personal want for revenge. He isn't some all forgiving Messiah either. He wants Maul dead. But he's also aware of his importance to the galaxy, that regardless of risk, he's a person with information that if proven true could shake up the galaxy itself.

That in itself is risky. Because we're freaking the fuck out that if we even did try to propose such knowledge on a political level, we'll get our ideas twisted and directed back at us by the damn Sith Lord himself. It's a valid point. But there's not much to be done about it anymore. Sidious knows who we are. We have a force bond with Darth Maul. We still hate and despise him and we're in no way a holy figure with a divine sense of forgiveness. But fucking hell that Anakin can watch through a vision of his family going through something like that, and almost kill this guy in response is something momentous. It's tragic but fuck it definitely created a worthwhile story.

Anyways, while the system is being reworked I'm going to see about drawing up a moral chart for Anakin and getting down a list of worthwhile character motivations and key defining traits that isn't made up of ambitions we chose for him.

Honestly though, this has been rather amazing. Props to the voters and the writer himself. I'm loving the quest.

You might want to delete that post. Remember this is a quest. Not real life.

Smoke some weed or something, bud.
Dude, you may want to make sure that you aren't breaking any rules.

I personally would advice removing that post. We don't need the mods here.
I am talking about Maul, a complete fictional character, who is older than 18 year, on the mere context of this Quest... (I'm relatively fond of canon Maul because it gave us one of the coolest moments in the sea of mediocrity that was whole Prequel Trilogy)

And the whole burn him and pee on his ashes is one of the most classical brutal and disrespectful deaths on fiction, second only to cut out the balls and shove them down the throat... But you can't do that with a Lighsaber because it cauterizes the wounds and prevent death from blood loss.

Aside from that it was supposed to be a Joke, I was hoping for someone to reply with an even more brutal death.

Who wants to bet that Sidious may have already fucked up the memories Maul had about him...

In my experience the vast majority of people go the better part of their lives without really experiencing what hatred actually is, rather they assign the name to other emotions that they mistake for it most commonly anger, frustration, and just pure rage. Hate is born out of injustices done to a person or that person's loved ones that almost always has long lasting emotional and psychological trauma that forever changes the survivors, if they don't just completely fall into despair and retreat into themselves. It lingers in the back of the mind for a very, very long time no matter if the person experiencing that emotion continues on in their life, it is still there subtly changing our state of mind and affecting the choices we make like a ghost haunting the damned.
This is so bad and life changing that even if the person experiencing this hatred somehow does get revenge it's hollow and doesn't do anything to get rid of that nagging feeling (for lack of any better words to describe it as i'm not very experienced with writing). Anakin should be feeling this hate, it should change him as a person forevermore, Anakin should want to have Maul feel everything that he inflicted on his MOTHER AND FATHER ten fold, Anakin and anyone that isn't a goddamn psychopath!!!! would not find it in themselves to be able to forgive and redeem the MOTHER FUCKER THAT TORTURED HIS MOTHER AND FATHER TO DEATH, ROBBING HIM OF EVER BEING ABLE TO SEE THEM, TO HUG THEM, TO LAUGH OVER DINNER WITH THEM, TO GET INTO ARGUMENTS WITH THEM, TO DO ANYTHING AT ALL WITH THEM AGAIN!!
And you think that Anakin would actually try and redeem Maul? Anybody that could look the person who did this to their family in the eye and say 'I forgive you' is on the same moral level as Jesus himself.
Edit: I doubt that it would be IC for Anakin to forgive Maul without some form of mind rape going on

But there is mind rape going on. The votes are mind raping him. Now I don't necessarily agree with them, but they do determine his character. So Anakin is at the moment on the same moral level as Jesus, but with anger issues, a hard on for using 'The Law', filled with indecision, and can't seem to make up his mind whether he actually wants to accomplish any goal he sets for himself.

However that is what we have to work with, so no use making a stink. *Ignore my salt from yesterday*

Training gives you DS points just as training light powers give you light points.

But unlocking dark side powers and using them in combat do not give Passice DS points
