Oof. Glad we saved that CP to save our bacon against the assassin droids. Still, we got a bunch of XP and a new DS force technique, so it's not too bad a trade.
Maul is... interesting. He's a Sith, so trusting him would be silly, but his characterization here is interesting -- he doesn't seem to be nearly as much of a berserker as Maul appears in the EU, so he may be working at cross-purposes against Sidious. The explosion corroborates this -- at the very least, whoever set off the bomb didn't mind if Maul were a casualty.
On the other hand, I hope everyone else noticed the too-convenient
timing of the explosion. We had just asked Maul
why he was telling us all this. Unless I miss my guess, the explosion was set off when it was to prevent that information from getting out. If only for sheer bloody pragmatism, we want to keep Maul alive until he can give us an answer.
Incidentally,
@Arthellion?
Is there any reason "destroy the Sith completely' gives less XP than killing one member of the Sith? Not sure why there's a difference? I assume 'destroy the Sith completely' doesn't just mean 'kill the current Baneite branch' but to (figuratively) salt the earth by destroying their support structure and their knowledge base, not to mention targeting any other non-Baneite branches around.
Related: will you accept any write-ins for intermediate ambitions? I'm thinking:
[] To Learn the Identity of Darth Sidious
[] To Learn the Purpose behind the Invasion of Naboo
But I'm sure there are others along the same lines that others can propose.
Finally: I'm pretty sure both Dooku and Padme were in the same room when the bomb went off. I know that Maul is right in front of us, but I'm wondering if we have any options for write-in. Perhaps:
[] Go get help -- call for medics and make sure they can get into the room
Or
[] Triage -- Maul is injured, he's trained in the Force and might survive on his own. Others are injured as well, and they might need our help more urgently
Thoughts?
