The problems are twofold: 1. What's France to be like after Napoleon leaves power? 2. What's going to stop Napoleon from getting steamrolled once everyone else in Europe learns from his reforms and leverages their economic superiority?

Fix these and things are pretty well settled.
Alrighty their are some real reasons why they won't do these some of these reforms. Like political reasons and how it looks to be seen copying the french. I can see them copying us in something like military, but economic is much more conservative to change especially since these areas will have to listen to the merchants who more then likely won't want to change. Their are plenty of other reasons. Such as some of these involving greater freedoms, like allowing women to do anything other then give birth nearly doubles the manpower of a country. This would be super unpopular in a lot of country's.

Women have already been doing low key economic supplementing since medieval times, from sewing clothes to sell for a bit of extra gelt to caring for livestock or helping run a shop. So what you're proposing wouldn't be quite as dramatic as that. Although these days child death rates means that having babies often is the only surefire way to keep a family lineage going. And the whole of France, come to think of it.

It would still be pretty hard to do. Hell, I think it would not be easy for US to further expand Women's rights in France now either, although we may have a bit easier time then most European States, both due to the Revolution and our own example.

The rights given to women in france is extreme in comparison to other countries, and yea cottage industry did exist but it was just that. a cottage industry done within the home where they weren't going out far away from home.

Again Jeez Robespierre. The heck did he tell the mob to do this and possibly try killing Brian?
He was thinking he could get away with it… which he kinda could, given the circumstances.
Don't get too invested in becoming the head of state: Magoose has stated before that the quest is always going to be about a Marshal in the Napoleonic era, steering the ship of state is never going to be a focus.

Head of the Grand Army, on the other hand...
Well Marshels did become kings and rulers, Look at Bernadotte or Murat.

it's becoming the ruler of France itself that will be out of the picture.
Yeah really it's a given Theresa's side will win in this civil war, it's a question of how much damage is done, and how much everyone else jumps down our throat in the meantime. And what exactly IS our side
Here's hoping that the boys in red are prepared for a war they will not be able to fight.

ask Lafayette about American warfare
It's notable that while the French government collapsing into civil war like this it's bad for the nation, our personal standing will rise. Moving fresh from victory in Italy to playing kingmaker, literally, in France.
All I will say is that if you don't wind up with 20 rep coming out of it, I will be very surprised.
We probably see like the angel of victory to the French public and the military in general. Moving from victory on the battlefield to stopping a civil war. We'll cast a long shadow after this whatever happens.
And have influence everywhere in France.
Marrying Napoleon would be a good way to fully cement this and get us an Imperial Regime. Frankly it's rather telling that Napoleonic France did rather well for itself, as did the Imperial Revival under Napoleon the 3rd. Both met defeats, eventually, but achieved fairly impressive results prior to this
Well Nappy now has one thing that he never had before.

a wife with SV competency.
Napoleon has given up hope for the republic, and I don't see him stopping short of a full autocratic powers for himself. Trying to moderate him seems the only bet for curbing his ambitions short of removing him from power himself something best done as a his spouse
Well considering the shit the republic put him through and his friends along with the chaos of what Robe has done?

Oh yeah, it's time for France to take its place under the sun.
Shouldn't Therese's information sheet be updated with her new size?
Will be updated later tonight.

By doing the reforms in such a way they can't?

We have one thing going for France.

we've opened the door for a more… open selection of jobs in the army for women.

including frontline combatants and officers.

Any more details or numbers on this subject mater?

I've been wondering about how our fame has effected both women in the military and women's rights in general?
It hasn't really been mentioned in the main updates so if you've mentioned this before, well, I only recently caught up so, sorry.

We probably could.

...Also, I just remember that @Magoose wrote waaaaay back when a Future!AU-Omake where Therese is present when Napoleon pulls his 'Soldiers, don't you recognize me?'-Move when he returns to France. If we actually manage to pull the same with te Nortehrn Army in this Civil War, I can imagine her in that Future!Au seein her Husband walk forward, realize what he's about to do and think "Oh great, now he's copying me...".
The Notorious NdB ( Napoleone di Buonaparte): I have two maxims in my life. First, never interrupt an enemy who is making a mistake. Second, never be afraid to plagarise - good ideas have no hometown.

Northern Army: we must kill all the traitors to the revolutions!
Momma T: UwU what's this then?
Northern Army: The traitor to the revolution is clearly Robspierre!

Details: We can really see women officers corps and brigades, primarily in France only but possibly a battalion or two finding their way into active service.

We'll besides Therese being a popular charecter for contemporary novels and writers, with many spins on her charecter if not from herself.

Charlotte is really rich but gets the money she earned stolen by her uncle, a Douche bag.

If that happens I will cry.

So Just a heads up...

The rumor mill coming up will be focused entirely on Europe. The Americans at this moment are kinda... stalemated and we'll get back to them when things in France have calmed down, and everything is less on fire.

And by god, we're getting it on thick.

Edit: Rather on... France, Britain, Russia, and HOLY FUCK THE SECOND COALITON!

Nappy and co. has this well at hand back home even without our help, which means we're free to hand the coalition it's collective asses.
That depends entirely on who's who in the coalition... and how Britain is planning to pay them because everything is... strange.

Let's be honest managing Napoleon is a job in itself.

All I will say is that if you don't wind up with 20 rep coming out of it, I will be very surprised.
I suspect we'd need to do the impossible and ask Napoleon to accept democracy and him to refuse

And have influence everywhere in France.
A chance to shore up the foundations of France into something more secure. One of the benefits of being an autocrat is being able to act unimpeded, also their greatest flaw. A Theresa acting in her area of competence and checking others ambitions might make for a frightening France.

Well Nappy now has one thing that he never had before.
A wife to go home to tends to restrain ambitions a bit.

a wife with SV competency.
'Sb competence' is one of those things that's as much a smear as a compliment, hope we can manage the latter.

Well considering the shit the republic put him through and his friends along with the chaos of what Robe has done?

So you're saying we can get our own variant of the sun never sets on France? :V. More seriously reigning in some of Napoleon's more crazy ideas, and counterbalancing him is probably enough for us to dominate Europe in the long run if we get half of Napleon's luck in the canon timeline.

Plus, the man is a workaholic per excellence, even if we could manage to keep up with the man, which we might not lets be real, even if we manage to be half as good as we are on the battlefield, we'll be okay.
I suspect we'd need to do the impossible and ask Napoleon to accept democracy and him to refuse
Or lose spectacularly.

Well at least we can safely say that between THerese and Brian, Nappy has some moderate influence.

Looks at the rolls that occurred as the Rumor mill was assembled.

I mean, your half right.

Ah people just couldn't accept that they lost the first time along with being still being butthurt and they don't want to pay France. Guess we'll see what happens. Well time to show them again why they lost. With how badly destroyed the army of Naples is they are probably staying out of it.

... Looks at their rolls.

I mean... no.

Good thing Davout is in the Neighbor hood. He should be doing some good shit done.

....King of Naples is actually declaring war after just signing a peace treaty and losing very badly? Guess he doesn't want to be a king anymore. Good luck trying to take Sicily. Therese made Sicily actually want to work with us and against their previous king.

Burbons have never been the smart type, save for Louis and Charlotte.

Let me guess. He thought all our troops left Italy to go back to France but didn't realize Therese sent half her army to Rome to have a "chat" with the Pope?

Actually how is Sicily doing economically and militarily? Know garrison's was picked but don't know if they arrived yet. Not to mention if Sicily will actually try helping.

Like I said, not the smart type. He must belive in the hype of divine right and other bullshit.

THey are a backwater.

Well Louis you might get to shot the King of Naples again. You would think his people would be looking at him like he is crazy after the lose they just took.

Hopefully Sicily and Davout can beat the King of Naples easily. Which means Davout can help us against whoever else is against France. So did the garrison arrive to Sicily or no?
