Could do - certainly an eventual target. But the Black Cat is a large regional player with a substantial fleet and special technology we don't have, including a battleship. It's been confirmed they're valid targets for subversion and they seem like a much more impactful target.
Could do Howling Gale - Abyssal eye instead. Seems more narratively appropriate to do our starting sub-sector first, but that's like 14ish more planets and we can't do the Eldar world, while Irridanus is only 7 more. I'll switch it to abyssal eye.
Also if the Watchtower confederacy is a chaos plot then genuinely we need to tell the Lamenters to wait a minute. Our logistics can't handle that fight...mostly because we don't have stable warp routes. We'd need to rip open the Mystery Box that is in the Rift.

Also we may need to dedicate a few actions to shipbuilding. We have a decent fleet but uhh looking at Unfallen one system has like three different fleets that equal our SBG count right now...it's kinda nuts. I know we are gonna put some numbers through building the LRADs so that's besides the point.

Well, we don't really need to fight all of them. Other than the Lords of Eternity, there's another Xenos polity we know nothing other than the Lords will tell us about and the Asuranyi who are doing who the heck knows what. Depending on how things go with the Lords of Eternity, we could try contacting the Eldar and/or the Xenos there and come to their aid.

It's 40k. My lens is always tinged with "If we had to fight everyone here what's the odds of victory" but that's fair. We may not have to fight everyone...hopefully
[X] Plan: A Knightly Gift
-[X] [Free] Assign 20 Choirs to Glint of Genius
-[X] [Free] Consecrate In Sacred Sand (Howling Gale - Abyssal eye)
-[X] [Free] Swap ISC to Green Horizons Colonization LTD
-[X] [Free] [AUTOMATIC] System Subversion - after the poison gift, the new focus is The Talon in the Qo system
-[X] [General] Ministry of Subversion, Infiltration, and Interstellar Communication x2

--[X] 2x Long Range Anti-Duchy Specialist Fleets (0/1)
-[X] [Free] Adjust the LRAD composition to be 4 Pegasus-class Command Cruisers, 13 Hydrus-class Rad Cruisers, 3 Andromeda-Class Guide Ships, 6 Scutum-class Shield Frigates, 5 Sagittarius Lance Frigates and 2 Lupus destroyers.
This is basically Alectai's plan, but with extra free actions to improve our future turns.
1. Pointing the Sacred Sands at the Abyssal Eye, both because it's got a lot of population and because it's a step towards completely consecrating the Irridanus sub-sector, and we've been told that doing an entire sub-sector will make the consecration stronger there.
2.Setting up for a colonization (general!) action next turn to grab 6 planets, 3 of which can be the new systems we unlock in Ishanu by yoinking Brans. There's something weird going on there and I want to find out what it is!
3. Swapping the ISC slot freed up by the Grand Gift action towards the most impactful target for it - The Black Cat mercenary company's home base. When our other slot frees up in a turn or two we can point it at their other planet and the two will synergize, as confirmed by the QM.
As for the fleet design, that's a total of 33 ships including the guide ships, and costs exactly the same number of FP as our current SBGs. Here's the math, including the Andromedas in the build cost.

Given that these things are pretty much build around the Hydrus I decided to buff up their numbers and reduce the number of frigates. It was the only way to make the math work. The other option was to only have 2 Heavy Cruisers and a total fleet size of 44, and the Pegasus is too cool for that. It's also our only current Carronade ship, and it seems silly to skimp on that on a long-ranged formation.

...Why are people trying to switch ISCs to Green Horizon?
Our default colonization action already colonizes 4 worlds, and 4 is the current number of available habitable worlds. All switching to Green Horizon would do is allow us to also colonize two shitty worlds that lower our development.

Let us go there,
Up above the aegis of our world,
Where the tempests of the soul reign supreme,
Where the dead yet walk and speak,
Where there'd be glory and dishonor,
Where the end and the beginning are but a flip of a coin away,
So we can burn our story into the Stars Themselves!
I know this changed and the text was added but I can't recall what the originals were. I know I did quote them back when they first showed up but I don't think I'll find it. Still the image of the great and cool. I don't know how you come up with the Designs.
The text is great as a daring type and trailblazing through the warp. Daring to go forth and I love the 'Burn our Story into the Star Themselves' is amazing when considering Teeln and his wife and how they burned a law into the warp.
Sing for me of better days,
Humm to me of gentler times,
Speak no more,
Of a Dirge Unsung,
A Dirge Unsung,
Let no child be cruelly hung,
How we wish for days long gone,
When eyes looked yonder,
Upon the stars,
And saw wonder,
Where few had yet gone,
Where horrors did not rear their heads,
Amidst the minds of innocents.
I think this is similar to the original with the middle being more connected and the for text I think is about half text is unchanged. I would say some addition of protecting from horrors.
Industry must expand to meet the ever-increasing demands of industry.
Technology must match the stride of progress to support frames rotting under the march forced upon them.
Idle hands cannot exist when work abounds.
All things increase when the feed is bountiful enough.
Sing of the labors we will undertake.
Let history's pages show our dedication to future ages.
March into a future bold and bright.
Let none fight what is to come.
Ohhh more lines connecting to everything instead of just a single locked flow in single directions, more connections but everything is not interconnected yet. along with the addition of other to the previous ones. much more bright with mention of future bright, history remembering it, and the like. interesting to see the difference between them now.
Bound To The Stars - Enables your Choirs to act as akin to a bad Navigator. This enables you to traverse Unstable Warp Routes without suffering Daemonic Incursions or collisions with Warp Titans.
A Web Of Song - Enables a Choir to forward messages up to three systems away as long as there is another Choir stationed there.
Oh shit. Okay if anyone doesn't remember/know, the way our Communication system works besides courier ships, is our Choirs playing telephone. The choir from Planet A wants to send a message to Planet G they have to send the message they want to send to Planet B and tell them to pass the Message along to Planet G and then go down the Line. From B to C to D to E to F and finally to G. with the Web of Song now able to send a choir three systems away instead of needing to do it one by one. So now planet A can toss over the message over to Planet D and D send it over to G with only one choir between the Sender and Receiver. That would very much help us in terms of sending messages quickly. However this does mean we still need to have a Choir on each planet in order to receive these messages.
As for the Bound To The Stars we can use the Unstable warp routes, I did not know those were things that could happen on using them but I'd say its worth using them if we have to since those two problems are taken care off.
Holy fucking shit.... wait doesn't this mean we need less Choirs now compared to before? saved us 25 choirs with that then, will free up more with it at level three.
1. Wait for New Dawn to roll something interesting. If everyone chimed in with technology, you'd min-max the entire thing and I don't care to do that even remotely.
2. You just need more people. So unleash the Thules. (Not literally tho. )
3. Yeah, you can do that. It would be synergistic.
1... Yah, fair enough, its how other projects and techs started, we got the tech from New Dawn and followed the Tree.
2. I mean.... you're really not wrong we do need them and given the Thules antics and the thristy ones.... nah, you described the culture in it and I don't think it'd work efficiently. Worth a try to see which thules bite.
3. oh that's good, I'd rather hold off on doing the Black Cat Company until we make sure we are ready and want to do it.
hahaha, is this because we took so long to do those songs and Melodies? or just some vague wisdom to post? Still very good and wise with some point considering its 40k.
Oh shit when did that get there? its one of the worlds I wanted to do though and its colonizable. The Irrita's Kin trait terraforms one world automatically. I just thought it would have been listed there in the Terraformation list.
[] The Family Buy-Out (0/2)
One number here, a comma there, some signatures here and here, and let us all shake hands...
(Gain: Absorb the Ashan Families into the Federation.)
Oh shit, just two actions. that is tempting but I want to make sure its a smooth transaction and the joke before about buying out the banks but then having to deal with riots over the xenos when they show up.
[] [Chapter] Lord Or Tyrant? (0/0.5)
It is one thing to be noble. Another to say you are to rule. Just as a knife's edge can be used to heal, it can also be used to cut flesh in anger. Let us see which the Lords of Eternity's nobility pretends to be, and which it is.
(Gain: A Target.)
Oh my god, Can you guys please not get into a fight with a near peer power for a Turn? This is what I meant when they had resolved themselves to this and how it would cause us headaches because they would be active and keep pushing. I really hope the Lord of Eternity aren't too bad where a war pops up. See this shit is why I want to get the Anti-Dutchy Fleet done and maybe just do a full turn so we pump out two Anti-Dutchy SBG and four Regular ones, that way we have enough SBG's to be able to defend and still send out support.
-Oath-Born Aegis - This shield was wielded by Brother Grantrala on the world of Mother in the system of Buskha in defence of the last survivors of the world. For nearly a month he fought unaided, guarding hundreds of non-combatants and wounded soldiers unable to even raise a las-gun in aid, against the never-ending tide of the Orks. He fell the moment reinforcements arrived, wounds accumulated and worsened by never-ending combat laying him low as an Ork took the chance to kill him, but the legacy of Borther Grantrala did not fall with him.
Also while I am on the Lamenters this is new. Another Relic, a Shield this time and by its name of Oath Born Aegis... very good at Defense at the cost of not atacking. or protecting the Innocent.
Once again, just saying a simple write in to allow the Lamenters to scan prospects of the choir candidates and let them recruit them if they want so they can have Librarians.
Any benefit to travel/communication time is more fluff than mechanical due to me not bothering with the system beyond the rare (as in; it only happened once in the entire Quest) occassion. Except that you can now travel through Unstable Warp Routes semi-safely.
Ah, fair enough as it does keep it simple and easy to use when needed, that bit is good and should give us some confidence to go through them now if need be. I hope its enough to cross the Rift and take the Independent planets the after we cleared the Orks.
So one more upgrade to Melodies and we'll have a Song for having genuinely decent navigators, and can use the unstable routes fully safely(ish).
That'll be huge. We'll be gaining advantage that Orks have, except arguably better since they just kind of crash through it and don't care and we'll be able to avoid it fully.
Same man, we don't need to get into a Peer power fight if it happens. I would say after this next turn to just create the Damn Anti-dutchy SBG's already and make a few more SBG's so we have a garrison and defensive force here if we do go to war.
1. QM how is a Trif - Cretetri with a Lilypad ocean biosphere? like how does living on such a world work and how does that affect their daily lives?
2. we have a buy out option for the Ashan Family that costs two actions but is there anything we might be wishing here? how are they about Xenos if we do buy them out and absorb them into the Federation?

Hold the phone. Are we Sure? are we SURE we want to do this shit in the Black Cat Company that is behind the Black Ash Clan Territory? The Black Cat Company who holds a Battleship and we will need to crashbuild maybe 6 SBG's with the expectation of losing them? Are we SURE we want to go through with this and commit to it? Recall how long we sat and let Brauns continue and only stopped at the last minute.
Just WHY are we doing the Black Cat Company at all and not just holding off a turn or two to see how things are currently.
