I'll try not to add too many expies. I do prefer writing my own characters, as I think it's good practice to make up characters, but I can't resist some one-offs here and there. I probably won't stick to one series too much. Also, I can't remember that many WoW expies in Ninja Ninja Tactics. Only Illidan, though I admit I did skim over a large part of the chunin sections.
As long as we can have more than just waifu fluff, training (with waifus), and missions (only with waifus)
Ninja ninja tactics was great while I was still following it, but they just omake point their way out of challenges, have way too much waifu, and spend a bit too much time on filler.
That was a comment on the state of Ninja ninja tactics, and things I don't want repeated here.
The simple fact of the matter is that since this isn't QQ and our GM isn't turning out big updates every day, the majority of the issues I had with ninja ninja tactics won't come up here.
Just finished Battle Tendency while rereading this and now I want a story where we are a child of Apollo and our special ability is just hamon.
And for bonus points, his name is Joseph Johnson

Blossom spent quite a bit of time avoiding you after your conversation. You weren't sure what to do about it, so you gave her some space. That didn't change the fact that you needed to show the rest of the Aphrodite Cabin that they couldn't push around your friend without you having something to "say" about it.
Now, the only times that the whole Cabin gathered were during their mandatory activities and for capture the flag. Now, despite Blossom being unable to do a lot of the activities, she still went to them, and you weren't sure you wanted to do this in front of her. Besides, what would be a better opportunity to do this repercussion-free than a time when you were literally sent into a forest to beat the stuffing out of each other.
You spent the first week afterward figuring out what the Aphrodite Cabin did during capture the flag. They hadn't ever actually been on the same team as you (which was a definite oddity, did Lily have some beef with them?) so you had to resort to other measures. Specifically, you tried sensing them with your plants. Your range wasn't extraordinary, and you couldn't get more than a general location, but you did find out that the Aphrodite Cabin tends to stick together, usually out of the way. This essentially creates a heavily defended zone since there are a lot of them close together, but it seems that it's usually easy to circumvent, meaning the Aphrodite kids rarely see combat.
You considered implementing your plan the next week, but Jordan had asked you to join him on offense, and then Justin had returned triumphantly.
The week after that, though, Jordan had essentially given Lily free reign over the rest of your cabin, which meant you were a single pleading expression away from being assigned to an unimportant area near the creek.
"I'm not dumb, I know you don't actually plan on defending that area."
You turn on your best puppy-dog eyes. It's not a skill you've practiced, but it seems to do its job as Lily's hands twitch and she suddenly refuses to meet you in the eyes.
"Fine, have it your way," she says petulantly. "Don't get hurt, ok?" she says this with a bit more sincerity, and you think she might have some idea of what you plan to do.
"I know what I'm doing (probably)," you tell her, though you don't voice the last bit.
"Alright, off you go, it's a bit of a walk from here."
Thus, when the horn rang, you immediately forded the creek and set about looking for the Aphrodite group. It really didn't take you long, they were the largest group of people around, and they seemed to be sitting in a circle. You snuck closer, the darkening sky and the very forest keeping you hidden from view.
When you do manage to get a visual on them, you see that the majority of them are simply sitting around in a circle, talking to each other. Two of them are moving in a rough circle of the area, presumably patrolling. It's a pitiful amount of security considering that none of the sitting group look remotely ready for battle. Then again, if your goal was the flag, you'd just sneak around them. Unfortunately for them, your goal is not the flag.
Now, you just need to decide how you want to teach them their lesson.

One weekend, when you're exploring the forest, you're approached by a dryad. This, in itself, is not an unusual occurrence. The dryads seem to have decided that you make an appropriate gofer and often come to you for assistance. Usually, the problems can be solved with a bit of talking, coaxing, or your magic, though there are times where you have simply been unable to help, like when they asked you to help them grow on the beach. You could certainly force that sort of growth, but it wouldn't sustain itself while you were gone. Still, while they had grown comfortable with you, you hadn't been invited to anything similar to what you had experienced in that park. The dryads here were, as you noted earlier, very skittish around people.
As you follow the dryad, you think about the time when Kalina questioned you about why you spent so much time in the woods. She was suitably jealous when you told her about how the dryads liked you and tried to get on their good side as well. She came on a bit strong, however, and now all the dryads are scared of her This is a fact that you find greatly amusing, though she was a bit put out when you couldn't even coax any to meet with her so she could explain the situation.
Still, it was a bit unusual for the dryad not to say anything about the situation while she led you. Some of them were more taciturn than others, but usually, they were at least willing to give you a few words.
You decide that you might as well ask, "Where are we going?"
The dryad stops and turns to look at you. She gives you a very serious look, and you wonder if you made a mistake, maybe it's something serious that she doesn't want to tell you about or-
"Gift," she says seriously, then turns on her heel and continues into the forest.
You sigh, sometimes the way they act confuses you, but you can forgive them for not knowing better. They may look human, but they don't have the same socialization that you got growing up in the mortal world. Their socialization was among other dryads and nature spirits, and you can only imagine that would be different.
Oh, she stopped. You're standing in front of what looks like a particularly large tree, at least judging from the width of the trunk. The dryad picks you up almost casually. You really can't wait until you start hitting your growth spurts. You also seem to keep forgetting how strong dryads are. Their slim frames belie their true strength, at least usually. She stands on her toes and then hands you off to another dryad, this one sitting in the tree in front of you.
You're not sure how you feel about being handed off like a football, but you've essentially resigned yourself to it at this point. You would peg the dryad in the tree as late-teens/early-twenties, though what that means in dryad-years you have no idea. She has light green skin and silver, almost white hair. She holds you on her hip like a baby and then proceeds to start climbing the tree easily. It's not too hard to judge that this is her tree.
"As thanks for your help. We give you a gift," she says as the two of you approach the top of the tree.
At the very top is a flower. It looks like a dogwood flower, except that it's the same silvery-white as the dryad's hair and the seeds in the center are a shiny bronze. You reach out to grasp it before catching yourself. You turn to the dryad who brought you up here. You're not sure, but you think bring you up here is very personal for her. "Thank you," you tell her sincerely.
She brings you up to her face and plants a kiss on your brow. "Thank you she says, and places you down on the branch. Strangely, despite how high up you are, you don't feel in danger of falling. You walk up to the clearly magical flower and cup it in your hands, not yet plucking it. You try and get a sense of what it does, but all you feel is raw, untapped potential. It seems like it has a malleable nature, and you feel as though you have come to a bit of a crossroads.

It actually happened when you were out in the strawberry fields with Violet and Kalina as part of your cabin's duties. It wasn't during any training session, which meant that when the alarm horns blared out over the camp, the three of you were nowhere near the "safe" locations. To make matters worse, you weren't even carrying any of your gear on you. Well, you still had that small pouch of seeds for plants that you could grow into food, and Violet had a sword strapped to her hip, but Kalina didn't carry around a bow.
You looked out to where you could feel the plants warning you of danger. The camp border guard had already engaged the enemy, women with human torsos and snake tails instead of legs. Lamia, you remember vaguely, but you don't remember if those were Greek in origin. You try and remember a reason that they would attack Camp Half-Blood, but you draw a blank. Still, the border patrol is being overwhelmed by the superior numbers of the lamia. Some of them have even managed to slip further into camp, which can't be good at all. By the time the three of you manage to reach the armory, you can already see that several of the lamia are attacking the cabins, and campers have set up some make-shift fortifications to defend against it.
"Is this normal?" you half-yell at your two companions.
Kalina just shrugs, but Violet answers your question. "We usually get one or two breaches of the camp's barrier each summer, but they're not usually this severe. I don't know the myths about lamia, so I don't know why they're so determined to kill us."
When you get to the armory, there are a few Hephaestus kids already inside. Most of them are gearing up, though it appears that one of them is handing out gear to the others. When he sees the three of you, he hands you your war-scythe and Kalina her bow, then points you to the armor. By the time you finish strapping on your slightly-too-large set of armor, the Hephaestus kids have already cleared out, and the two Dionysus kids are here. Speaking of him, you wonder what the camp director is doing. You didn't spot him or Chiron at all.
"Alright, I'm going to go reinforce the patrol near the edge of camp," Violet informs the two of you as you step out of the armory.
"I'm going to go see if I can help out the people at the cabins," Kalina says. She turns to you. "What about you?"
Where would you- Wait! Blossom. You don't know where she is since she's been avoiding you and you respected that desire, but if she's not in the cabins' area, then she could be in danger. She might be great at beating people up with her crutches, but you doubt that applies to monsters, especially in these numbers. There are lamia scattered all across camp, but while she could be anywhere, the most likely locations would be the Arts and Crafts Center or the Amphitheatre, both in between the breached border and the cabins. On the other hand, she could be safely ensconced in a cabin, and you would only be putting yourself in more danger b

Bringing in the flower could have some interesting implications, considering certain flowers have different meanings.

Eh more like 'really tired of everyone i know and myself being in constant danger' than outright dangerous at this point. There probably was the occasional person who lost it but until Luke's titan army started rallying together people and saying 'feck the gods' it was alright.
