Calling the mechanism crafting thing being a overhaul mod is kinda wild. I remember when the game came out and social media was filled with people marveling it how the system worked extremely well.

Dunno what to tell you, I hated it a lot, it's weird and intrusive and clashes horribly with Zelda's whole vibe. I really wish I'd stuck with my gut impression of Tears and skipped it entirely. The fun I had in the Underworld wasn't worth the price of admission. "Someone's weird extensive mod that was haphazardly stapled onto the base game" is about right.

I didn't say that you had to like the mechanics in the game. I'm saying that trying to argue that TotK is an overhaul mod or DLC is absurd, and lessens your criticisms due to how obviously incorrect it is.
