I had been wondering how close we were to the monomaniacally aggressive adult-bodied feral children of the original JP book. It's good to know that we are very far away from them socially, and perhaps intellectually.

OP, can we get clarification on how intelligent our species is, and potentially could be? Because if we take the last update at face value, we really are on par with humans.

We could even end up inheriting the earth if we play our cards right.

I have been Summoned!
Bleh, more faulty smoke! Why me!

Intellectually, raptors in this JPverse are of the same intellectual status as Ravens, Apes, and Cetaceans. All of the above creatures are well known in the scientific community as having tool-using status and surprisingly diverse cultures within their species.

Ravens, for example, have enough language in their vocabulary that they can warn others of dangers they encountered, tell their descendants of those things and have those warnings circulate for generations afterwards. Cetaceans have been known to create mating songs that slowly spread throughout individual species depending on their popularity, much like pop songs today. Both cetaceans and apes have been known to create hunting and social behaviours unique to their specific clan/pod/social group that maybe to taught to outsiders.

In your pack of raptors, I have created your culture to revolve around pack/the hunt and to revolve around storytelling. Just remember that because your pack does things one way doesn't mean other packs will too. Dialects have been noticed as differing between the aforementioned species and can happen in yours too.

And this time, the raptors will ride the humans!

...What do you mean that wasn't how history went?

Voting for Interlude and Timeskip is Now Closed. If I could please have someone tally those votes, it would be much appreciated.

Here are the Options for your character during the Timeskip. If someone could roll a 1d6 for me, I would much appreciate that as well. Voting for Timeskip Options closes tomorrow at 7:00pm (EST).

We should do this with siblings if only because we are a pack animal

I'm assuming these determine our strengths when we're all grown up?

I want to put the practice on something that probably wouldn't injure us when we ultimately fail at killing it. Also practicing by ones self is better so that in case we leave the pack, we will be sustain food for ourselves. Remember most pack orientated creatures will run off the male offspring of said pack. Lions do it, wolves do it, and so would Velicoraptors I would presume.

I have the d6
Rolls a 5
Whelp, that's oddly fitting all considered.

I figure I should just mention this now, but the results of this roll are for what exactly causes the Great Dying. There was no one good roll for this, it was there for me to figure out just what kind of horror/FEELZ I was going to unleash on you, my readers. No number got you guys off easy. In fact, when all is considered from my end, this roll got you guys off easier than some of the lower rolls would have. Nothing changes in your current day-to-day life as a result of this roll, but the roll does have some effect on the history and lore of your pack. This means that the roll affects some of your pack's behaviour towards certain things, which in turn, affects some of your behaviour. Monkey-see Monkey-do, no?
Kicking a Bees Hive! YA ME!
No blaming Glitchrrr36, he actually rolled really well and I tip my hat in thanks to him. There was no good roll, and he got you guys one that has a fun, interesting impact on the pack. So don't you guys worry, you will actually enjoy the fruits that his roll has on the pack, for they taste sweet in my mouth and will taste sweet in yours.
Also, you guys might what to think about just what Bloodrush might mean for you
Sweet Dreams Everyone!

Sure Can! Worldbuilding is something I have surprised myself in just how much I actually like to do with this quest. I would be pleased to show you guys a quick look at just a little of what goes on behind the scenes.

Anyways I should have the interlude up sometime tomorrow. If I could get someone to double check the following vote tally for correctness I would appreciate it. I don't have access to the usual methods of such due to doing most of my SV stuff from my IPad and IPhone, so I have to use the old-fashion method of counting votes on my fin-er I mean on my talons than noting the results away somewhere. Not the most efficent, quick, or accurate way possible.

Here are the results I got.

[X] Timeskip One Month: 7 votes
Happerry, Night_Stalker, Smugraptor, Asmodemus, EVA-Saiyajin, Glitchrrr36, RandomLurker

[X] Timeskip Two Months: 2 votes
veekie, AlliteRaptor

[X] Timeskip to Hurricane Clarissa: 1 Vote
Lazurman

[X] Second Interlude; The First Years: 1 Vote
Smugraptor

[X] Second Interlude; The First Hunt: 3 Votes
veekie, EVA-Saiyajin, Glitchrrr36

[X] Second Interlude; The Great Dying: 6 Votes

Fine with me, just curious though.... What hat, I mean your a bird, and birds do not where hats. At least any that I have seen.
Must not of looked hard. Here's one of my cousin, Kartin, who is my relative fifteen times or so removed.
I prefer baseball caps during really sunny days in Summer, but I'll wear a cowboy hat on occasion. Winter is the time for tukes, no matter what the others say. Other than that I go without.

The small mammals will be tricksy, formidable foes.
