We Will Never Die: Rebooted (A Halo Spartan Quest)

The MCs dad must be etheir deep black in terms of clearance or know some really high up people.

I mean he is a former Sergeant Major and that's not that high in the grand scheme of things.

Huh, Dad was a part of the precursor to the SPARTAN-II program.
As far as I know it was at least one of the parents of the children in the Sparten II project that was part of the Orion project.

It was one of the reasons the children were chosen because they inherited a small part of the improvements from the Orion project from their parents. That was one of the reasons why they survived the training and half of them were strong enough to survive the improvements.

Comrades, we have our first mission: We have to live. We can't make a grown man cry, now can we?

And we got a trickle of weird genes because of it, which caused us to be like this. Or at least contributed to it, in addition to being a one in a billion fluke. Orions are fully mature when they get fucked with but we were effectively fucked with at the moment of conception. That helped us become the least childlike child on the planet.

We're already one small step towards Spartan. Its not unprecedented.

Don't forget the reincarnation... that just made the entire thing worse.

That will help to explain* how the hell a child is able to make AI with little effort, we're just already a superhuman, just below SPARTAN-II Superhuman levels.

*By that I mean as an In-Universe answer, we know that we are a reincarnation, but they don't. This will probably be their explanation for our superhuman intelect.

The reincarnation might actually not be abnormal, really, at least in term of it happening. Everyone could be a reincarnate just as part of how the world works but we have the right mental setup to notice... and Doctor Light had the right mental setup to not dissolve into us immediately. He might have ended up pinned to us because we are actually able to handle him.

The Precursors might look at this and shrug, wondering why we are making a fuss about it. The Flood probably work by using administrator privileges to force you to reincarnate directly into the Gravemind or something. We know the infection can follow you even if you try and download your mind into a clone so its clearly a metaphysical corruption. This could be how its actually supposed to go when nobody is hacking the system.

Anyone else would have just lived their lives and integrated seamlessly without anyone noticing.

A CT-Scan of our brain is going to cause fistfights among researchers. If we die, we are going to be flash cloned a thousand times just so they can experiment with creating AI.

...Sorta like the Nasuverse? Anyways, if that theory is true, then i'll be even more scared of the flood than before, they are already bullshit powerful if let loose, the idea of them being able to just say 'fuck it, you are one of us now' to a soul would be sooo bullshit.
Not just fistfights, it might actually cause a war between neurologists.
Let's do this guys, we have to throw a nuke to their sense of reality at those silly neurologist (and restart the wars between religions once more)!

Something like Akasha certainly isn't counter to what we have seen of Neural Physics. Particularly when you note things like the Domain, which is almost the Throne of Heroes if it isn't Root itself..

I'd leave off mentions of our reincarnation for the moment, certainly, if we ever bring it up. Most of this is us, anyway.

Not to mention the fact that we will probably won't be believed for quite a while, probably not until Halo 4-5 times, when the UNSC obtains a little bit more of info about the Precursors and the Forerunners.

Wait are we a recarination of the Forerunners or the Precursers
Neither. Both were simply powerful elder races that fucked around and did their own things. We have the Mantle of theirs but that is, as far as we can tell, mostly a philosophical construct.

The Forerunners died off mostly before they could get into metaphysics, though they were just edging into it at the end, and I won't deny the possibility they might be reincarnating all over the place it neither they nor us would probably be special there. The Precursors are the Flood now in some horribly degraded state. They tried to resurrect themselves and screwed up in a truly godawful fashion.

A lot of this is going to be guesswork right now. We're taking a few tidbits from the franchise itself and trying to figure out what that means when we take the facts of the quest (Light) into the equation.

Though I suppose there is nothing that says that Light is actually human. Or our breed of human, anyway.
