Wedding Bash pt.3
Chivalry demands you give succor to women; and that's that.
Walking to the elf, she looks up as she hears your boots clacking on the granite. "If this is about the matter of the spears, I already told the Kislevite he can have my aid when he can manage to lash together his realm."
You almost bristle at the thought. "Madam, I am no Kislevite. I am Duke Phillip August Folcard de Montfort, bane of the Orcal. I could not help but notice that you were reading of the Massif, and I thought I might be of aid. Though I should ask, first, who are you?"
The elf flips between the scroll, you, the scroll, and you again before scowling. "You're the one who put up all these damn castles and forts?" The August Fort, Le Chateau des Montagnes, Wyvnid Camp; Benjamin got busy, that much you'll give the old soldier. "I can't tell whether I should slap you or thank you."
"I would not advise it. The edicts of chivalry demand I not strike an unarmed lady; but they are distinctly more loose on the matter of whether or not armbars are acceptable."
The Elf examines you for a moment, unsure whether you are serious or not, then shudders when she realizes that you haven't told a joke in...however long it's been since the Crusade. "I am Lady Talsyn, and I bear grave news for you, Duke: there is a dragon perched and ready to destroy your lands."
"...I am already quite aware of the rage of Alternivax the Red-Scaled, Lady Talsyn."
"Not that dragon,
human! A more recent beast. A Forest Dragon, dirtied by the fell magics of the Court of Shadows-- Ilyaroi. He smells the stench of your wife-"
"Pardon?"
"Do you have any idea how many well crafted spirits and friends of the Asrai she killed when she served Titania? Varnax the Good-Shade, Alais the Kind-Winter, Kaitan the Estalian-Summer ring any bells?" She shakes her head, before turning back to the map. "In any case, though my Queen would not shed tears for her, nor the others of the Asrai, he would craft war betwixt the Courts of Athel Loren and the Silverspire, and kill many thousands in his wrath. He must be spoken down if he can; or if it can not be so, slain- and only I can do either. I will make this simple, human: the shrines and blessings your Soldier erected under your will are a potent blocking to my making swift progress. I must have a guide, to reach the lair of Ilyaroi before he can strike and kill and burst the fires of war into a storm that would; and you would be better than most."
[] Agree, no questions asked. If she were not a lady, you would demand steel for her words against Morgyan; but she is, and more than that she brings word of a threat to your people. That, you will not allow.
[] Agree, but it would be a shame to not try and earn something for it; if nothing else, you'd like to start selling at least the raw wyvern material. (Must pass a hard-- 65+-- Diplomacy Check with Lady Talsyn in return for ???, chance to backfire)

Did they ever give Araloth's daughter a name? Because I haven't been capable of finding one, and referring to her as Lady Talsyn all the time is getting pretty repetitive.
