Out of curiosity, any chance your feel like telling us how much this improves the odds of TO Kill Kings? If you don't want to share numbers, can you at least tell us if it makes the King less likely to get mad at us somehow?

[X] DD We Have a Chance Pt.2

Just gotta pray we roll really well twice on this and the King doesn't get angry with us.

By the way, I'm amazed people didn't vote to grab stuff from the First Enchantresses personal Library. Why?

Uh, well. No, he's not very happy that you're getting even more Bretonnians killed for the matter of a single Dukedom-- particularly not when he's trying to prepare for something big. On the other hand, both will introduce new armies into Montfort, which will help tremendously in the actual matter of, you know, removing Goblins and stuff.

There was a tie in several categories which I broke depending on either your traits or a dice roll, depending on which options the tie was between. Fay Enchantress tied, but Wild Warriors won because of your Virtue of Duty which, while not the stereotypical sort, is still going to come down in favor of having more soldiers when you're about to go to war. If it's any consolation, rescuing the Artifacts could mollify the King in its own right, a bit.

It's either this or the Crown of Sorcery (40%). A New Steed has the second-lowest success chance, but that's actually for the special bonus and isn't as important. (I'll feel stupid if the special bonus is that dragon Philip befriended-ish in previous years.)

It's a horse, always a horse.

It might be a special horse, depending, but still. Horse.

(A Destrier, to be precise)

Good to know, and I like your method of breaking ties.

My thinking was: 5000 gp? Nope. We ain't got the money for that.
Fair enough.

Your daughter. She seemed set to journey to Morr's realm, but the unlikely intersession of some unknown woman saved her life, at the cost of her sight.

Traits:
Giant: She has grown like a weed these past few years-- she outsizes Louis considerably, and that little voice in the back of your head you've had since you acquired the Lance is pretty sure she's going to be bigger than the rest, too; except, maybe, Merovée. Depending on exactly how much of Martrud he got. (+4 Martial, +2 Diplomacy)
Adorable: She's a cute infant, little prone to outbursts. (+1 Diplomacy)
Blind: A blind girl, she's little threat to anyone. (-6 Martial, -2 Intrigue)
Tutored: At six, she will be taught by Killian Ó Deoráin, whose title is Coghadlin. You have no idea what that means, but it sounds impressive. (???)
Infant: She is two. (All Stats set at zero.)
Arch-Nemesis to the Greenskins: She is also hated by the greenskins. (+2 Martial, +2 Diplomacy, +2 Piety)

Stats:
Martial:
21+4+2-6-21= Blind or not, she'd still be a good general-- it's an instinct you get.
Piety: 17+2-19=0- There's only so much a child can deal with in services, but she does seem to have grasped the most basic tenant of any faith: "Fight evil", as the black eye Louis nursed after he stole her chocolate can attest.
Diplomacy: 13+1+2+2-18=0- She will be a force to be reckoned with, one day.
Intrigue: 13-2-11=0- She will be good, one day. Kind of. A little bit.
Learning: 11-11=0- Eh, she's a bright kid. On schedule, and everything, as far as reading goes.
Stewardship: 16-16=0- She's pretty good at math, all told.

The stat with the biggest penalty is going to be her best stat, and all her other stats are average or above average. That's really impressive.

@Voikirium, Morathi keeps herself young by bathing in the blood of screaming elf babies. Can we yank out an adult dark elf's eyes and swap them out with Phillipine's non-functioning ones while applying magic to restore her sight?

For several reasons, including-but-not-limited to the Enchantress' less than pleasant reaction to even the thought of it: No.

[X] DD We Have a Chance Pt.2

Hope you fellas don't mind a new guy joining this far in the quest. I know about this since last year but for some reason it doesn't pique my interest (got to the part where Philip aids his wife sever her ties to Titania and Apollyon), binge read this on a whim 2 days ago and got to say I'm enjoying this so far, nice read to kill time.

@Voikirium is Godfrey amenable to riding a pegasus given the chance? I mean it's still a horse.

Nope.

For reasons, which I will get into later, AKA "Oh shit you guys finally did the thing", so uh, look for that, I guess.

Huh.

So, any particular reason she doesn't have Arch-Nemesis to the Greenskins like everyone else in the family does?

??? uhm.... how?
or is someone reading too her and its sticking? that might work but not clear how a blind girl would read anything unless magic somehow

She can feel the slight raise of the Ink Daredevil Style.

Because I absolutely forgot it.
