Nope.

Not leaving this half assed.
[X] "I must go. My people need me." (Ignore Quest until you reach city of Mousillon
To be fair, you'll still be in Mousillon, fighting and etc.

It's just that your vassals/soldiers can't join you in the Quest because that would ruin its ability to test whether or not you can Get Shit Done in even the worst circumstances.

What the fuck? I thought we rolled a critical? Why are we still being affected by the poison?
Crit is the only reason you're still alive/ capable of being stabilized instead of stuck in a coma and slowly wasting away/ Can be cured instead of going all Frodo-y.

When I said coming to Mousillon was dangerous, I meant it was dangerous.

That was good enough for not Instantly Dying. This was apparently some serious shit, I guess, and Philip's just that kind of brave fool to have charged them with no backup. The water to buff the Bretonnian forces is no joke, as was depicted, though.

[X] "I will entrust you with this most sacred duty, Sir Martin. Let the rivalrous brothers of Parravon and Montfort stand together once more." (Go on Quest)

Philip's primary depicted usage is as a beatstick and motivator in a lot of these things. Leaving the forces is probably fine, there's other competent people around and Martin doesn't seem like he'd shank us for it.

...that feels incredibly unfair. Between choosing to go there and the end of that fight, that was the only roll made and we had no options to affect the battle. So you just threw us into a fight where we had to get amazingly luck to not die?

The fuck o_O

Many good reasons for both sides. But what it comes down to is that, grail knight or not, I do not want someone from Parravon leading our forces.

Anyway, we are of audacity. Taking the safe way out would be out of character.

If we are being called now then that probably means this is the best time to go. We will be called to fight here anyway, just on our own, unless something even more urgent and dangerous is happening somewhere we can get to in which case it's even better we go now. We have someone to take over leadership for us and potentially heal our relationship with the duchy we've had the roughest go with, and the call will drive us into the fiercest fighting where I'm sure we will do more good, if we wouldn't do more good being called now then I'm sure the Lady would have called us later.

So I assume the Grail Quest stuff will take place off screen, and the thread will be running a different PC while Philip is gone?

EDIT: I mean, it seems like something that could take forever to actually play out.

That wasn't, actually, the only roll I made-- I didn't stick most of them because they were pretty standard fare, though, and I would like to try less littering numbers in my posts.

I made a few dozen, some of them for you and some for the vampires and some for Èclatant.

First, the Vampires rolled 3 +90s and a hundred to shrek you at the same time, then you got lucky and managed to roll your own hundred to resist the poison(after bonuses) and to kill them in that final round.

Virtue Available:
Virtue of Audacity: You have never wavered against foes simply because they were stronger, faster, or more powerful than you-- as Grimbreak, Lady Windchill, and now the Fallen Nine can attest. (+2 Martial, +2 Piety, Bonus against foes stronger than you, certain options locked in)

Combines to form:
Virtue of the Unshaken: There is evil in the world. It must be fought in every way-- no matter whether it be man or orc or elf. (Stats unknown)
This vote has been called right? When do we find out what Virtue of the Unshaken means?

Right Now!

Virtue of the Unshakable: You do not bend before evil simply because it is stronger or more powerful than you-- Malekith, Bandit King, War Boss, it matters not-- they must be fought, and they will be fought. If not you, then who? (+3 Martial, +3 Piety, Bonus to Fighting Foes stronger than you, Resistance to Enemy Psychological attacks, Bonus to Prestige Gathering, Access to Prestige Actions)

Sweet, thanks, looks good.

Any chance you feel like sharing what the other two we could have gotten would have looked like?

The way I see it the Grail Quest is going to be dangerous whether we do it now or after we get to Mousillon. If the poison's going to be getting worse for us then it's better to take the Quest now before it starts wearing away at us too much.

Edit: I like how in the Virtue description Malekith is lumped together with a bandit king, as though they're comparable. I just find it funny.

I will probably put that up to a vote.

Eh. I mean, you guys will eventually be succeeded by Godfrey, and I'd like to keep it so that people aren't trying to gamify the Virtue system and picking options more for the sake of numbers and less for the sake of story.

That's very intentional.

In the end, what is the difference between Malekith and said Bandit King besides scale? They both hurt people because they're just such asshats they can't think of another way to get what they want and they're too damn self-centered to go without what they want.

Well. fuck the vampires.

Despite receiving the Call, it feels somewhat unchivalrous, what with racing against the clock in order to find the Grail before Philip starts pushing up daisies for a (un)living.

Nevertheless, there is something to be gained from having a Parravonese Questing Knight being seen leading the Duke of Montfort's personal Yeomen.
