Two questions about the current event.

1) Where am I supposed to get these paintings from? I've been grinding 40AP missions pretty steadily, and I've got like 30 of each.

2) Is there any point to rolling on the Manuscript Gatcha after you've got the Craft Essence? Should I just reset it for the next jackpot? I didn't want to miss out on delicious Dragon Fangs, Meteoric Horseshoes, etc, but the wiki tells me that I can just reset it infinite times and all the rewards (bar the CEs) remain the same, anyway.

is it just me, or are main story enemies weaker than free quest enemies despite being the same level?

they do, but I think it's better to leave it until you have what you want, because resetting the jackpot also resets all the qp filler that you'll have gotten out of the way.

1). the 40 AP caster gives tons of gold painting. Berserker is slightly less effective.
the 40 AP lancer gives tons of bronze paintings.
No good place for bronze yet
2). After you get the crystallized lore(which there are 2 of in this event which is nice) and reset the gatcha(number 7) you have to clear it out completely to reset again. So if you only want specific things you should roll until those are empty before going to the next

You can also use the event CEs to increase the drop amount for paintings. It's Gentle Affection (Rikudou Reika) for Mona Lisa, Venomous Snake Art (Kuzuki Souichirou) for Self Portrait, and Art of Death (Uryuu Ryuunosuke) for Human Anatomy.

Vanilla Cu vs. Lancer Alter?
I'll be the odd man out and say Cu, unless you are seriously lacking firepower. LAlter can be substituted with any number of gold damage dealers, and there are several who are better than her in her preferred role. Cu's niche as the last man standing, however, is far less common, and he is the best for the role. There is also versatility to consider - Cu is the Servant that will be in ~80% of my party compositions, if rarely actually seeing battle due to his placement in the last slot. So, if I had a good damage dealer or two other than LAlter, I would neglect her in favour of our favourite Irishman.

Even if you end up choosing to prioritize LAlter, try not to neglect Cu. He is far too useful to be left behind.

Mm. The thing is, I've already got Saber Shiki, who is pretty darned good at the last-man-standing thing with her whopping 4-5k self-heal.

On the other hand, that isn't really all that much if I screw up and let her get hit with an NP, that's true...

Why put him there? Putting a Berserker with a dodge or a Battle Continuation makes more sense imo. Lots of damage output in a short amount of time + survivability = win. Heracles in the last slot has saved my ass more times than I can count.

I use Cu fairly often myself as well, but he stays out in front precisely because of his survivability.

I usually don't put him out front because he does like no damage at all. There's no point in putting him at front when you can button mash with high offense berserserkers or just OP people like Okita and Drake to clear things fast. And if you can't clear fast, then you have cu to save you.

Some news from the Type/ACE:
  • Fate/Extella has been confirmed to be a legitimate sequel to Fate/Extra and will include elements from Fate/Extra CCC. The developers also plan to include more playable Servants other than Nero, Tamamo-no-Mae, and Altera.

  • TV anime adaptation Fate/Extra: Last Encore will not be a pure adaptation of the game series. SHAFT has stated that Nasu is free to write anything without worrying about the budget. Nasu has also teased he has placed "something" in the anime's story.

  • Fate/Grand Order will be having a collaboration event with Fate/Zero. The scenario will be written by Gen Urobuchi involving Iskander.

  • In Type-Moon Ace volume 11, it was admitted that Fate/Grand Order was planned to be a two-part series, but the developers wanted to make sure the game is successful first.
Oh boy. Solomon confirmed for not real final boss.

Glorious SHAFT!

Is it like soon? Cuz IM all out of quartz and only have a maxed Coolnosuke to show for it.

We already knew Solomon wasnt the final boss. The 220 odd servant long leaked list gave it away, along with the fact that unlike enemies, he has a listing on it.

Theres a good chance hes going to be summonable.

Okay, more playable Servants is good...

Not sure whether that's bad or good.

Indifferent to this.

...I may cry.
