Ramesses is the only exception, apart from the fact that they made him the Pharaoh of Exodus, which means for all his bluster he was Moses' bitch.

I suppose one could argue that he is supposed to represent a Sun around which everything else orbits, presenting him as a contrast to the other Servants of the same category. If anything, Nitocris fits the 'mold' better -- she is Horus, yet at the same time, she is always orbiting either around her brothers (her entire thing was getting revenge for them, I mean) or, in-game, around Ozy and the other Pharaohs. Her interlude explicitly adresses that matter -- she is the eldest, yet considers Iskandar, Ozy and Cleo to be worthier of the title and plays second fiddle in Iskander's 'Banquet of Pharaohs', simply refilling his and Ozy's cups.

Then again, that also stems from her considering herself a very inexperienced Pharaoh compared to the other three.

Which is actually kind of funny when one of Cleo's lines is her considering Nito one of the 'true Pharaohs' (she says it so long as you have either Nito or Ozy) and saying she cant bring herself to look at her because she is the 'responsible' for the fall of Egypt.

So after a disappointing roll with the only new thing being some 5 star CE with Leo on it that increases hp, I decided that I would start to raise some of my 1 and 2 star servants since I do not have a single one of them fully ascended except for Koujiro. It at least gives me a goal to do since there is not an event on and most of my servants that I plan to use are already fully leveled.

What the hell is Drunk Smoke's NP if they're a giant skeleton made up of smaller skeletons?

Funny how all the Sun Servants seem to orbit around someone else.

Gawain and Arthur, Karna and Duryodhana, Tamamo and Konoe...

Given how fondly Ramses remember Moses I am starting to think that in Prototype it was less God fucks up Egypt and more God gives Moses the Plagues so that he can fight Ramses directly and not get curbstomped

Moses wins the duel, spares Ramses and free the Hebrews

Given you know Ramses height is 'shorter' in profile because he feels at his best during the time Nerfertari birthed his child and Moses being kinda responsible for his kid's death would ruin that fondness

So guys... Quick question... What is the core of Gilgamesh's logic and philosophy?
He was sent by the gods to be the Keystone of Heaven ("leash," with the meaning of restraining) and beat humanity into submissiveness to the gods.

He adjudicated and saw the gods/worshipped natural phenomena lacked viability as living beings—even if they were omniscient, they would always arrive at the same conclusion. Kinda like what Lev Grossman wrote in his Magicians trilogy for gods.

He then saw humanity, which lacked supreme Authority within the species as a whole (or just a few individuals?) and saw that they had the potential to become the dominant species of the planet.

He was pro greed that way. "You want something badly? Then get it by whatever means you deign necessary." The king who sanctioned the act of taking was born as such in Uruk.

He hoped humanity would one days surpass Gaia and get off of Earth and reach the stars. The antithesis of Angel Notes.

There's more stuff, but you should probably read his Secret Garden stuff to get a hang on his personality.

Okay.

Usually, when you wish to know a character, stalking someone who likes that character an unreasonable amount will give you some insight on them.

Why should one deny their nature and desires? It's not Kirei's fault that he was born inherently evil and only capable of deriving satisfaction in life from the suffering of others. Why should he be forced to despise and deny himself when the rest of the world is allowed to live as they see fit? If Shirou's allowed to live his life solely for the sake of others and in spite of everyone saying it's wrong, why can't Kotomine live his life solely for himself despite the world saying that it's wrong. As Gilgamesh explains, it's our desires and our urge to reach out for them that makes us human, so as a human its our obligation to wholeheartedly indulge in them without regret.

In Camelot, Nitocris conjures an illusion of herself as a giant to intimidate the knights who are pursuing you. One of the knights remarks that the Lion King had spoken of a titan of destruction who walked the desert some 14,000 years ago. Most likely a reference to Altera. But the thing is, in some of the Extella footage Archimedes says that the Moon Cell undergoes a system refresh every 14,000 years.

No idea what the implications of that is, though.

The titan of destruction was Perses and his wife was Asteria.

Asuteriā ≈ Arutera

Asteria is also a titan goddess of falling stars, which brings to mind that Altera has referenced to herself as a falling star in her opening line in Extella.

You know focusing on 'Scourge of God' Atilla is good and all that but what about her Rider and Pillage shenanigans?

Asteria seems like a stretch.

For starters, she was turned into the island of Delos, which happened when she chose to hurl herself into the sea rather than be raped by either Zeus or Poseidon. Furthermore, she has an established relationship with Apollo and Artemis through their mother, Leto, who was her sister. It's on Delos where Leto found shelter from Hera's wrath when she was going to give birth to the twins because Hera refrained out of respect for Asteria.

Yeah but Altera also has a Star/Cosmic theme

Could be like that 'Asteria' and 'Atilla' are different existences who came from the same source

Given the other Extra Giants are Amaterasu and Kingprotea and both are High Tier Gods it opens a lot of interpretations

Anyway – why doesn't Angel Notes count? Are the Liners too not-human for him?
Bludflag said:
No, I meant the antithesis part as Gilgamesh not wanting humans to die on Gaia's corpse instead of it being merely the cradle of humanity.
linkhyrule5 said:
Ahhh. As in Gil just doesn't want humans to die with Gaia, basically?

Asked Swordo if it was okay to post this clarification. Not sure if I'm supposed to quote link as well, but my words would probably make a lot less sense without it.

I really hope GO doesn't do NO EVENT NOVEMBER

God even a rerun of Dango would be something (prices modified of course)
