I GOT HIM

I GOT ISKANDER

AT LONG LONG LAST

AFTER TWO PAINFUL TEN ROLLS AND USING MY GOLDEN TICKETS

I GOT THE KING OF CONQUERORS.

MY FIRST EVER FIVE STAR

TELL ME PEEPS, WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST FIVE STAR AND YOUR REACTION? I RAN AROUND THE FRONT OF MY HOUSE AND WHOOPED

My first was Waver.(lewd)

Pretty sure my reaction was "aww, but I would rather have had *insert 5-Star I've forgotten here*... Well, at least he's cool", but of course that was back before they decided that simply having the best buffs in the game wasn't enough for him.

Mine was uh, Altera that I somehow got during the tutorial sometime last year, my reaction was essentially 'eh' since at the time I was trying to get Asterios and Mephistopheles again since those two were my first rolls on my previous account.

Looking back I had the wrong reaction. :V

My first five-star was apparently Attila, who I responded to by going "eh, I don't really care for her design" and just sticking her in the box. She's still sitting at Level 27 from pity-XP, because by the time I was well-versed enough to understand the gulf between her and Siegfried, my first four-star, I already had a fully-ascended Okita with a Level 2 NP, so... Saber duties were filled and I always had more interesting stuff to do.

After that I got Tamamo, who was sidelined because I was already feeding Medea and (more importantly) Caster Liz, so I didn't really have time for her. She's at Level 51 now, because my other worthwhile Casters are fully ascended and she is pretty cool. Hopefully she'll get a boost and see some use in the Extra campaign.

So the first five-star I actually started using was Okita, because I needed to level her for the Imperial Grail War event, and while I might not have been hot about her design, initially, she grew on me real fast. Also I apparently rolled two of her and immediately forgot, go figure.

After that I picked up Jackie, who is the perfect daughter and gifts me stars every day. Love that girl.

Then I rolled Jeanne while trying for Jeanne Alter, which is a dark cosmic joke that has kept her at Level 1 for now. I don't really need a tank - I live on killing people real fast, thanks.

And as has been documented, I rolled two Medbs just this weekend. She seems like a lovely girl, and I'm going to level her up, but honestly I already have two perfectly good Riders in the form of Medusa and Santa Alter, so we'll have to see.

My first five Star was Vlad, actually

I was kinda pleased, because that enabled my Herc - St. George - Support - Vllad lineup that served as my most basic team for quite awhile.

Arjuna and I was all "Meh, that's cool I guess. Can I have a Saber now? Any Saber? Please?" And then I used him and I was like "Eh, 3 Arts is nice but his NP isn't great" and then I ascended him and did his interlude and now I'm like "OhMaGurd Arjuna so good!"

That would be the King of Heroes, Gilgamesh, on basically my second roll. My reactiin was "I thought this Gacha was supposed to be rigged".

WEAPONS ARE FOR PUSSIES vs DO NOT PURSUE

They both fill the same niche, which is to say single target Berserker with Buster NP. So lets see just how good did Lu Bu become with these new buffs using Beowulf as benchmark.

Base stats: As 4*, Beowulf has around 2k more in each stat. He has one more hit on Quick and Arts, and twelve hits on his NP compared to Lu Bu's 1. Lu Bu has better NP gain though, even with his lesser amount of hits, as well as smaller death rate, and 5 less cost due him being a 3*. Lu Bu is Man while Beowulf is Earth, and i believe that Man is generally better due less Sky types, but i can't be arsed to check.

Defense: As mentioned before, Beowulf edges out Lu Bu by 2k, with one having slightly above 10k while other sits slightly above 8k. Lu Bu can actually make himself slightly tankier with his 15~25% defense buff, but taking in consideration its downside, limited time and fact that Beowulf has Battle Continuation B, Beowulf takes this, although not by large margin.

Attack: Again 8k vs 10k. Both have similar attack buffs, with Beowulf's being better at start, ranging from 20 to 30% while Lu Bu's is 9~27%. Lu Bu's does give him mental debuff resistance, but that's fucking irrelevant. Beowulf does have Instinct B, but his 4-14 stars are kinda minor. Big thing is Lu Bu's recent buff, allowing him to reliably collect stars. Indeed, with his attack buff he hits about as hard as Lancelot with his NP buff, making him force to be reckoned with. Not only that, but Lu Bu gets 10% bonus from his passive against only 1% Beowulf gets, which really cuts on stat lead Beowulf has on basic attacks. Indeed, i would actually give advantage to Lu Bu, as he has slightly lower attack usually, but way higher spikes and it's pretty easy to set them with Saber outfit.

NP: As mentioned before, Lu Bu can build it a bit easier. His crits don't actually help, as you want to use them with his Buster. Their stats/passive from above still apply, but Lu Bu's straight up better NP dmg up skill(20~30% vs 10~20) lets him completely close the gap between the two. Beowulf did have a NP upgrade Interlude which Lu Bu lacks, meaning +100% NP damage on each level, but as 3*, Lu Bu is way easier to max out. Beowulf's effect is crit chance down, which is relatively useless, while Lu Bu's stun, although low chance(furthurer rekt by debuff ress), could really come in handy. Due ease of acquisition of additional NP levels, i'd give this Lu Bu.

Verdict: Despite Beowulf's base stat advantage, Lu Bu's better skills, passives and NP make him comparable to him, if not actually better. While fiddly to play, between hit 3 turn 50% to not get attack up and 20% def down for entire part for one turn, Lu Bu is pretty damn strong when you get a hang of it. Needless to say, he makes other 3* Bersekers look inadequate in comparison.

Either way, it is undeniable that Lu Bu is in extremely good spot right about now, especially with his 3* cost giving you more options to play with. And with possibility of him receiving Interlude buff to make him even better, you should really consider droping some EXP and Fous onto the big boy, especially if you happen to lack gold Berserker.

My very first 10-roll after Fuyuki got me exactly nothing worth mentioning, but I then noticed a handful of quartz left in the stack. With a small, broken 'yolo' I rolled the Gacha and got Attila, my first Saber and my first gold. She's been my unironic waifu ever since.

For some reason, I thought this refered to Lancelot. Despite him being the absolute opposite of this.

Also, it also bears noting that Bravery lasts 3 turns while Berserk only lasts one, but that Lu Bu's new skill also reduces the defense of his team-mates making it risky if you don't finish off the opponent there.

First one was Altera, and like apparently almost everyone else in this thread who got her, I shrugged with a "meh" sound. Still raised her to level 90 because my only other worthwhile Saber had been Caesar, and that entire account had been basically running on a Lancelot+Mashu combo, which is not reliable at all. She kind of grew on me since then, especially with her NP upgrade, but I totally blame Stockholm syndrome for that.

Well, when I got Okita, I stood up and started doing hip thrusts, as embarrassing as that is. In my defense, it had happened at about 2 AM and I had been sleep deprived. So yeah, that is kind of not conductive to thinking straight...

fully-ascended Sasaki
:eyebrow: ...When did Kojiro become a 5-star? Or a Saber, for that matter?

I actually did mention later in verdict, but i completely missed the former.

Damn, that actually sucks so much. One of best things about Bravery is that it only has two turns of downtime, so you can just go ham with it. I kinda like having Herc hit for 20k+ all the damn time.

But yeah, Lu Bu is really, really strong right now.

My first 5 star was Jeanne. When the gold card showed up, I was wondering what kind of servant was that, since I couldn't recognize the class picture. I was pretty happy about it, though I was tad disappointed since I was rolling during a Tamamo rate up, if I remember correctly.

But yeah, Lu Bu is really, really strong right now.

Wish I fully ascended him, instead of Kiyohime, especially since I'm good with AoE Berserkers thanks to Tamacat and Lancelot. Now, I really don't wanna waste more mats for ascension. Gotta stock up if I wanna level my skills.

Still, hopefully a fully ascended Kiyohime will be helpful come the summer event. Maybe she'll increase drop rates or something during the event.
