So, to the people who read/watch Prillya (I know some of you do it), who all are the servants who've shown up as class cards?
The FSN bunch, Lancelot, Thor, an unnamed Hassan, and a bunch of randos who've only been used for NPs.

EDIT: Fuck, Assassin'd

EDIT-EDIT: Aw nuts and I forgot it was HFH and not Cursed Arm Hassan that got kablooied in PA.

Fate stay night is not a sequal to fate zero
Normally brought up when nasu notes that the actions tokiomi did to rin(like altering the clocks) don't fit with how he is portrayed in fate zero

Hmmm.

Fate/Zero:
"I'll sell my daughter to Zouken Matou, I'll summon Gilgamesh, I'll hand my apprentice a dagger and turn my back on him after showing him my will that leaves everything to him if I croak."

Fate Stay/Night
"I'll cause Rin to summon her Servant as an Archer so it can betray her much easier than it would have been able to if she summoned a Saber."

I dunno, looks like a pretty consistent characterization to me. :p

TO BE FAIR

Rin's attempt to summon a Saber was little better than a F2Per doing rituals with their free quartz in the hopes of rolling their waifu. And it was impossible to begin with, as Shirou had Seiba reserved from the get-go with Avalon in his thorax. I doubt a little beyond-the-grave trolling would have affected her chances of getting Most Stronk OP Class either way.

Also Tokiyomi had no idea that Gilgamesh possessed the original inflamed asshole.

Had Shirou already locked in the Saber class before summoning her? What if Lancer had suceeded in killing him on the rooftop, would the Holy Grail War then just have proceeded lacking a seventh Servant?

A set of Seals eventually just gets bored and moves on to a different person if unused. Kirei mentions this to Rin as part of telling her to hurry the fuck up and roll because the rate-up Event is almost over.

And Tokiomi didn't really care, since he was going to triple-Command Seal him to suicide. It probably wouldn't work in a post-Extra CCC world where Gilgamesh has become the Aizen of the Nasuverse, but it was still a credible plan in F/Z. At least by Gilgamesh's reaction to Kirei's infodump.
no but gilgamesh can ignore command seals like we saw in zero that one time tokiomi used a command seal and it worked

No, see, he can ignore Command Seals, he just didn't that one time. Like how he has unlisted Clairvoyance so high he can see into all possible alternate futures and pick the best one, he just never uses it because something something mongrels mongrels mongrels Kirei fetch me Arturia!

Gilgamesh. Phenomenal cosmic power, fewer brain cells than Homer Simpson.

Clearly 99% of his brain is dedicated to trying to restrain his ego.

Wasn't the given explanaton "He finds the vision of being beaten by a high-school student/Random Fuyuki Skeleton/ect so ridiculous he ignores it"?

Clearly Grand Order takes place in the 0.0000000000000000001% of timelines where Gilgamesh doesn't simply pull out Ea and kill Solomon before he has a chance to do anything.

Clearly he needs to use the original IQ in a bottle, and dye his hair brown.

Then he'll solve everything!

I seriously don't buy that explanation by itself. I envision Gil's clairvoyance as basically seeing through the eyes of any human ever. That explains why he can see all alternative timelines, and would also put a reasonable cap on the ability - if he wants to make sense of a particular fraction of what he is seeing, he needs to focus on the particular mongrels involved. Being viewpoints of "lowly mongrels", what he sees is unreliable, a subjective experience, and in such a context, him going "lol that can't happen" makes at least some sense to me.

However, that does not explain Fate/Zero, where he is surprised when Kirei reveals that Tokiomi plans to suicide-seal him. "Tokiomi is so boring I couldn't be bothered with his viewpoint" is not a reason I can accept for that.

Quite frankly, though, (from what I remember of watching F/Z years ago) no one's dignity survived Fate/Zero intact, except Kirei.

Saber got bullied, Lancelot/Hassans/Diarmuid didn't really do anything, every Master is basically incompetent and/or makes a lot of bad decisions...

Well, Waver grew as a person and then became one of the best teachers at The Clock Tower. So there's something

He doesn't have it as a Servant, and anybody who tells you he does is a lying liar who lies.
