I think it just means twin as in "two, simultaneously" or as google puts it "something containing or consisting of two matching or corresponding parts."

It was used at the start of the chapter when Renne was waking from the Nightmare too, the "twin emotions."

Pretty sure they lived in Kalos though. They mentioned the path to the Palais.

Edit: Yeah, assuming I have my numbers right, I'm pretty sure that Renne grew up on Kalos Route 6, before being captured.

I think I prefer the Blade over the Pencils, since we're about to spend time with Theodora, but also really should check in on Elise

I also want to reiterate that we should consider exchanging TMs between class mates, especially with Protect after the way Renne had to work overtime to keep everyone safe in the last boss battle. @ArvisPresley Would it be possible to do a write-in action to investigate in-character whether it's possible to share TMs between people and if so set up a class-wide TM pool, since we all rely on each other in the FEs for safety?

If you actually buy it, there'll be an option to share it with your teammates during a Field Exercise. Whether they accept is another matter entirely, dependent on Bond or their personality.

For example; of the Group 1 team, only Elise won't accept using your Protect TM if you offered it.

Having a look at the draft plans, I liked @sheep-dodger 's the best, and I went for the maximalist version that buys all of the human bonding materials available, since we should only need cash for emergencies this month. I could also be persuaded to swap out the TM Protect for Rookie Pokémon Food to help boost Roland and Renne's XP, since we might be able to pick up Protect through LP shopping, but I hate both "might" and "spending more than one AP shopping if we don't have to".

I like this plan, but I don't wanna pick the kofu coupon at this time.

I think the battle magazine would be a better pick fluff wise, because it ties in to multiple things. Mariana just got to see Knights battle, so she's probably curious about professional battling in general. Then there's the plan to go to two gyms due to chasing after Nemona, so accidentally having that be the bonding opportunity reason for Nemona (or Jacinto as a less likely pick) is great too, not only for the obvious battle discussio related reasons, but also setting up for socials if/when we fall flat on our gym run. Heck, even on a success, we'd probably be a nervous wreck so that still works. And on the final reason, Roland is just again being interested in learning to read, so having another interesting thing be available that he isn't capable of reading could be a great motivator. Renne and Ruby could find it interesting too, but more likely Ruby, for the pretty pictures it'll paint more than anything.

The first instinct is of course to say Classic Elise, but there's also Mariana who immediately blows half her liquid cash on the single most expensive TM and proceeds to share it around with zero expectation for reciprocity.
