    • The party of nine from where they had entered in the night comes out to a party of seven, all of them looking as two more of their numbers have vanished. And so like every night prior, the two missing are revealed.



    The first is revealed as Reisen Inaba, Moon Rabbit on Earth (@Shalmoa), who 'died' from a Knock on the Head.



    The second is revealed as Alice Margatroid, Seven-Colored Puppet Master (@dinomannitro6), who 'died' from being Knocked Out In A Closet.

    And a message is left upon the table to read.

    Reevals needed on Walker's flip
    Everyone needs progressions now IMO
    Hobo's vote NAI even if late due to self-pres
    Other votes probably won't get good info at this point
    Not sure if absences are notable right now (Dino/Comi, YP to a lesser extent)
    Figure one more affordable miss ATM but needs serious discussion given game length

    I know your joking but there's an actual card in Touhou 12.3 that summons two additional spellcards from your deck, 12.3 being a fighting game with a deck building mechanic

    Suika's card.

    Fills up the equivalent of two spellcard's worth in meter. The first card is instantly filled up, while the second rises slowly. If you are hit, the gauge will stop filling. Useful if you want to go through your deck faster. Since you can cancel into it, you can use it to cancel the recovery of certain combo enders.

    So I summon IBUKI GOURD!!!! to Draw Two Additional Spellcards from my deck! This allows me to do nothing, because the spellcard rules say that I can only cast one spellcard at a time and Reimu is literally a player in this game so she'll kick my ass in real time if I break the rules!

    You're not wrong, I'm not sure there is a great way to play this role tbh. I don't like it that much, but that's how the cards were dealt, nobody's fault or anything. I just don't feel like keeping an X-factor quiet from town that can create confusion over something as simple as vote results is particularly helpful either.
     
    ftr I'm also feeling down for reasons entirely unrelated to the game. Not going to replace out or anything, it's just emotional burnout I expect will pass in the next few days, but probably don't expect me to be too active this first day at least.

    I'm definitely not replying to this because I'm the top poster and someone's going to wagon me in a hot second with a 3000 word long case file they pulled out of their ass if I don't produce actual content soon but I found it pretty weird that our very own Top Bean kinda just said this on open mic as his entrance

    Kind of like the equivalent of sitting down for a meeting with the cartel and admitting literally 5 seconds after doing small talk that you have a direct line to the DEA, they just aren't going to let you leave the room

    Then again, the "Two vote thing" is a pretty easy thing to confirm and that's a pretty jank wolf ability if true so Town Bean might actually be Town Bean again unless someone here's more familiar with his ranges, if we have a Doc here they might have to get him patched up tonight

    Regardless at the end of the day this post just provoked the entire server to hit with a 9000 word long case file for my very first content post instead so yikes on me chief

    Unless you're playing a game in the human village I suspect it's less power madness and more power armageddon, if it wasn't for Rule Numbero #1 of the Touhou Mafia ruleset I would be throwing down recommendations on what we might be looking at here

    This is a question for anyone, but wouldn't it have been better to share this when it may be relevant (i.e. if your extra vote would break a tie or cause it to be closer to hammer than expected) rather than right at the beginning of the game?

    I kind of get why he did it, it's so that when we start voting he doesn't have to throw down his whole post and look really awkward when he has to explain to the whole team what he just did... combined with the state of mind he said he's been on recently there's not a 100% chance that our Top Bean is going to be at his very Top when he has to reveal that information so better to get it out now when you still have the chance and hope that maf gets scared off by his blatant admission when our boys come and help him tonight, it's just not a very good target over multiple days considering this is a Touhou game and Reimu Harukei might be capable of throwing stars at people in a mechanically relevant way while still being a seer because of her canon intuition

    There's a lot of other tinfoil theories I can try to talk about but I just don't think they're really worth that much at this stage of the game unless someone here tells me that Bean has a history of secretly being a top-tier chessmaster rn
     
    Anyways going to bed and waking up in like 10 hours so if anyone suspects me of anything while I'm asleep ping me here so I can PM them Touhou memes until they go away

    Anyway, I'd read this as pretty much NAI for now; per Bean's request I don't want to get into details at the moment, but I can see both Town and Scum reasons for her to do this. And she's historically a strong enough player that I'd find either credible on the face of it.
     
    Sounds about right. Weird play is a weird play. But without time and efforts to contextualize it we've just got a drugged bone of meat to tempt us like we're hungry deviljho.
